is that a stormtrooper?

Because I have zero connection to the HIMYM fandom I very, very rarely run across anything that can be considered a spoiler, so aside from the vague hints in previous episodes, I pretty much watched the whole thing like

and then when it ended, I was like

I mean, if someone had given me a test, and the question was, "Barney and Robin will break up because:
a) Neither of them can handle commitment
b) They fight too much
c) Neither of them is looking for a long-term relationship in the first place
d) A, B & C
e) They get fat/ugly and stop having sex"

I... would not have chosen E. Just saying.

I mean, I don't consider myself particularly invested in Barney/Robin, but as far as break-up episodes go, this one was just awkward more than anything else. It was neither emotional nor funny, save a few, random lines that had nothing to do with the actual plot.

Also, I would like to pass a motion to retire the fat suit from sitcoms and low-budget comedy movies. The fat suit is never funny. Stop trying to make the fat suit happen. It's not going to happen.

It seems like a shame beacuse -- save the doppelganger episode, which, aside from the doppelgangers, was totally boring and forgettable -- this season has been awesome. Also, the prospect of Barney and Robin Ross-and-Rachel-ing it for like, the remainder of the show's existence?

In sum, because this gif is always relevant:

On the other hand, whooo Doctor Who this weekend!

I think you are more into Friends than I ever was because I watched it casually and have no idea about any of your references LIRL. Though "WE WERE ON A BREAKKKK" is part of my cultural vocabulary forever.

Ugh JD/Elliot. I love that part where Carla, Jordan, Turk and Dr Cox are like "we don't need to talk about you getting together with JD, whenever we start to think about it, we can just remember a conversation we had about it last time, and that's that."

You've seen the Charlie Brown Scrubs thing right?

I was pretty into Friends for a while. In s3, I think, Ross keeps trying to get with Rachel, and she's about to give in when she finds this pro-con list he'd made about her and Julie (the girl he was dating), and it said things like "she's just a waitress" for Rachel, which really upset Rache, duh. So she tells Ross to forget about it. SO SAD. (And then later, there's this part where Monica and Rachel watch their high school prom video, and ... well, let me find a clip.

AND THEN I CRIED. Sometime after season 6, though, I kind of gave up on watching it regularly. And when Rachel got pregnant I was very ... eh.

I'm a very casual Scrubs watcher. I haven't seen any of the recent seasons. Unless they're playing on Comedy Central, I haven't seen them. Though I love Scrubs.

NO. What is this you speak of?

I think some distant part of my brain remembers that. LIRL Ross/Rachel was just dragged out for way too long.

OMG THE SCRUBS THING. They made it for a cast Christmas party circa season 3 and I guess it's on a DVD or something because now it's online:

OMG THAT WAS AWESOME

"Time to deck the halls with your incompetence!"

Last year in our friend secret santa, I gave the guy I got a season of Scrubs (because he likes it) and wrote out Dr Cox's entire meaning-of-Christmas speech in the card.
