AHAHA so that was like the worst midterm I've ever written. I even felt the need to text 
lacunaz about it because I feel like, as a linguistics student, she might understand. Possibly she looked at her phone and went "who the hell?" but... worth it. I'm trying to counteract the fail right now by doing the phonology assignment I have due Thursday, and let's be honest, I am rocking it. I'm even kind of having fun. Apparently I really enjoy the brain-teaser aspect of working out morphological/phonological rules and patterns in a data set. It reminds me of those "MARY IS TALLER THAN JOHN BUT SHORTER THAN PETER" things you used to have to do in like middleschool. I always liked those.
Also, it was warm enough today that I walked home from the bus stop -- which is like a 10, 15 minute walk -- without a coat. IN NOVEMBER. This may never happen again so I feel the need to document it.
Ummm that was all quite boring, so here is a relatively boring meme!
