Never, Not Really  
Huzzah, for some reason inspiration decided to visit me and I managed to write my first one-shot in... a ...time.

Yay.

Title: Never, Not Really
Rating: PG, I guess. There isn't any language or any of that, but some implied violence.
Excerpt: It is an anxiety he hasn’t expressed to anyone before, not even kind-hearted Andromeda, and he isn’t entirely sure why he’s chosen to tell Bellatrix. He supposes it’s because he’s her favorite. He’s always been her favorite.
Summary: A look at some pivotal scenes in the relationship between the eldest and the youngest in the final generation of Blacks.

That was just amazing. So well written, perfectly structured and beautifully worded.

I loved the various repetitions of phrases and ideas. I loved your characterisation of Bellatrix, and the way you showed Regulus's developing awareness of who she was.

The scene in which she killed the mother and child was chilling and perfect.

Wow. Just beautiful.

I feel sort of guilty for never responding to this. =) To have you say you liked my characterisation of Bellatrix is quite flattering indeed, since I know she is so very high on your list of favorites. I must admit that I adored writing her; twisted characters can be quite a lot of fun.

Agreed! I gotta say, you're truly awesome at this stuff. Especially characterizations of Regulus and Bellatrix, who are characters that don't get a lot (if any) time in the books but probably have rich and complex histories all the same. I'm glad you're shedding light on their pasts!

=) Thank you! I love working with the minor characters, I've got so much more leeway... and Bella and Regulus are two of my favorites. Hee.
