| Bio: | Heya! So, about me. Well, I have a harsh view of the world, but one where love and integrity exist. At the mo I'm doing a Philosophy-Theology (i.e. Philth) degree at the University of Durham and am having a whale of a time! I LOVE the philosophy of Kierkegaard which explains my harsh, subjective, but also Christian view of the world, and one which involves the person a lot. I'm interested in self-improvement issues and spiritual matters, including love, romance, but also pain. I can come across as pretentious, but I just like living according to values! I'm currently battling with anxiety, but it's a battle I'm hoping to win. I don't like being bound to groups, but equally hate feeling lonely. I like random comedy, wittiness, satire and eccentricity. I also love dark, sick almost black humour which makes you feel guilty for laughing at it. Hey, what's the point of life and its woes if you can't enjoy them?! I'm into the martial arts (and I count European-style sword fighting as a martial art) and am a Kenshi of Shorinji Kempo, a Zen Buddhist system of fighting and philosophy. I also really like books with characters that actually have something realistic about them. Same with films really! As far as friendships go, I've recently realised that I don't treat the people I care about with the love and respect that they deserve, despite my feelings towards them. Like all people, my pride, defence of independence and my insecurities often lead my to do stupid things that tear me away from the people that matter the most. But I love having fun with the people that I'm close to, and enjoy true heart to hearts with that rarest of creatures the soul-mate. Anyway, that's me. Well, obviously it's not, seeing as you can't really get an idea of someone from a piece of paper or a screen. I guess you'll just have to meet me in person... | |||||
