Friending frenzies....

So, my New Year's resolution this year regarding teh internets:

"Actually utilise LJ as something more than a humongous collection of book marks and browser tabs."

Hence the friending frenzy. :)

I've been hovering on the edges of LJ for crikey, nearly two years now, (has it really been that long?) and...

I guess the time has come, (my friends) to talk of many things,
Of fic - and ships - and LJ cuts,
Of metaquotes and memes,
Of whether Snape is good or bad,
And whether pigs have wings

"But wait a bit," the friended cry,
"Before we begin to chat;
For some of us yet know you not,
And all of us are shy!"
"No hurry!" said the_firedancer.
"A gross imposition would be that,

A user page," the_firedancer said,
"Is what I chiefly need:
Information and interests besides
Are very good indeed--

You can begin to read."

*discontinues the lit rip-off, because really, the rest of it? Doesn't fit with the overall theme so as to speak*

All of those added are people whose journals I've been reading for a while, some I've commented on, and some I've merely lurked at. Some are generally similar interests, some are due to ficcage, and some are just because you're interesting.

So yeah, if you're one of the people hit upon in my friending frenzy coming to check this unfamiliar adder out, please be aware there is zero expectation from me that you will friend me back; indeed, I'd be very boring on your flist to be sure. (As to be seen by this tl:dr ramble!)
