Moving houses is the worst thing ever [24 Jul 2008|11:24pm] dienacht [ mood | exhausted ] I have so much to post about but don't have the time. I took today off work to move to the new flat. Despite the fact the new flat is literally next door and the fact Anthony and I have been hard at work for over 13 hours now...there's still so much to do. Oh god it's never ending. I can't even imagine what it would have been like if we'd been living in a house as opposed to a two-bedroom flat because today's been hard enough. Pretty much everything has been moved over, but now we have to re-arrange the furniture (this was a furnished apartment, which means we have very little furniture of our own for the new one) and clean like motherfuckers. Our landlady expected us to hire a professional cleaner, but at $300 they can all go get fucked. However, after today I can suddenly see how justifiable that amount actually is (too bad I have NO money and so am stuck with the cleaning). AAHHHHH THE PAINNNNN!!!! Thankfully we have another 12 month lease at the new place which means a year without having to do this again. I'd be quite happy to just live there for another three years if we're allowed. And they need a lot of help for the Mando Diao website. As you might have noticed the great opening of the Mando Mansion has been delayed. They informed me that they have some problems and are not sure what they should include. The Mando Mansion will be a place especially for the Citizens and they want the Citizens to pay a few Euros for it. Inside the Mansion the guys in Mando Diao will have one room each, with exclusive material, like videos, small streamed live-concerts, and chats. Of course this has to be updated regularly. How much would you pay for this? Like 3, 4 Euro? Or would you include something else? Also important: Is there anything you don't like about the website? The bassist will take a break from touring as he is on paternity leave from the band. "Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to join the boys during the next month or so of touring," he explained. "The reason for this is that my wife is expecting our first baby in a few weeks and after some long hard thinking we all decided, band included, that it was a bit silly for me to be flying round the world at such a critical time in the pregnancy. "No one wants me to wind up in the wrong continent should there be any complications or should the little one decide to put in an early appearance. So while the other chaps are jetting around the Pacific Rim I will be buying the groceries, attending ante-natal classes and generally preparing myself for the cloud of unknown that is becoming a dad." The band's friend, Daniel Lindegren, aka Tommy Sparks, will fill in on bass for the band. "For the next few weeks Daniel will be doing his best to cover my portfolio of bass, keys, buttons, knobs and things that go 'clonk'," said Moakes. "He is more than proficient at many of these things so I can't see it marring anyone's enjoyment of the Bloc Party experience while I'm away. New flat and OMG weight loss! [15 Jul 2008|11:40pm] dienacht So our lease here is up in two weeks. Anthony and I have been putting off looking for a new place since this place is just too small and too expensive. Putting the house hunt off was a retarded idea but it's worked out well for us as our neighbors moved out last week. Turns out is is a MASSIVE three-bedroom flat with a proper floor plan and works out a tiny bit cheaper with a third person (only $10 less each but that's fine by me). And luckily my work mate Jeremy took up the offer to move in with us! Everything's coming up Milhouse! In other exciting news, my weight loss has been going amazingly...despite the fact I've been hopeless with the diet and hardly been exercising at all. I'm back down to what I was at the peak of my weight loss somehow. I am so, so stoked. God I hope it's not just a short-lived fluke because I feel awesome. So many people have commented on it, I thought they were all just humouring me until I weighed myself at gym this evening. I don't know what I've done but I'm going to keep it up while also bumping up the exercise again. I'm only 2kg away from my goal weight!!! NEW BATMAN FILM TOMORROW NIGHT! WHOOP WOO! I haven´t touched my drawing equipment in months and it took me a while to get used to it again. I don´t know if that´s what you had in mind, but didn´t want to keep you waiting. It´s just a general idea so that you can tell me what needs to be changed. :) ( The Frog King ) Man, that frog drove me crazy. I just couldn´t get that fucking thing to look right. Maybe I should start drawing after a model again ... ( Meremaid ) The last of ca. 1.000 drawings I started and never finished. I need more practice, that´s for sure. Now I´m frustrated ... Just let me know what you think, Sweety. :-* I´m staying with my Grandparents while I´m in Germany. My Grandfather has to have dialysis every two days now and that´s pretty hard for him and my Grandma. Today is his birthday and he had to stay at the hospital, that sucked. But he he feels better afterwards and that´s the important thing. I don´t have access to my computer right now, that´s the reason why I´m so rarely online anymore. But (if anything goes well) I´ll have an Internet-access in Villach soon. Yay, I´m happy about that. :) So please mind me that I don´t commend very often right now. I read your journals every now and then, but I don´t really had enough time. I hope that´s going to change, because sometimes I really miss you guys, even if that sounds stupid. :-p Oh, yeh, there was that Medieval Fair in Burghausen this weekend and I finally had the chance to wear the dress I sewed. Sadly, it basically rained the whole time. But it was fun nevertheless, a little akward at times since I talked with my Ex-boyfriend for the first time after we had no contact for nearly one year. And I missed Armin. Burghausen was the place where we first met and I being at this place again without him I realized how much I love him.
