Continuing the journey

The rest of the night went silent and without any further interruptions. Romualdo kept being asleep like a stone and i was left with the thoughs and doubts, thanks to Athos´ statements. Oh, how true they were, i thought. As to prevent myself from any darker thought, i cast a sleeping charm over myself to catch a few hours of sleep at least.
When Romualdo slightly shook my shoulder to wake me, the sun was already high on the horizon, blending my eyes. I must´ve slept in. No wonder, the night was horrible and my mind was still clouded with thinking about my position in all this. Now it was my duty to not tell Romualdo or anyone about my "problem". Still, it was very hard for me not to shoot Romualdo an angry look, when he finally stopped shaking me. "I´m up, it´s okay", i rasped and he instantly put a distance between us with one single step.

"I think we should continue our journey", he hesitantly started to speak, "we have already lost some hours of the day and God knows how far Neverwhere is still away." I slowly stood to wake my body, but agreed. "We should", i mumbled and so we saddled the horses to leave behind these dark woods...
