so andy wants to do the el diablo run next year. (see previous entry HERE)

he also had the bright idea to..... GET MARRIED IN BAHA, MEXICO.

can't you just see it? we jump into a small run down church in baha- midday. we're hot, sunburned and covered in dust from the road. our minister is a small mexican man who barely speaks english. our witnesses are the 200 other riders we've spend the last 3 days with. i'm in flip-flops, shorts and a billowy white t-shirt. i have some sort of white scarf wrapped around my head (bret michaels style) to help sop up my sweat- very fashionable of course. andy is in raggedy jeans, his locs and a wife beater. we're not sure what the preacher is saying, but he motions us to say I DO, and we kiss. andy sweeps me into the air and carries me to the closest bar, which happens to be in the next room of the church we've found. we proceed to get shitty drunk, cuss at the chickens roaming around the bar and pass out in the classiest hotel in town, which happens to be the upstairs of our church/bar.

is it weird that i kind of like that idea??

andy and i are planning to do the "el diablo run" in '09. www.eldiablorun.com

here is the description on the website:
The El Diablo Run is a five-day Mexican fiesta on motorcycles from Southern California to Baja and back. It’s a chance to ride places and do things that simply can’t be done at a conventional American motorcycle rally. For dozens of dedicated men and women, the El Diablo Run is an annual gathering. For some, it’s a rite of passage. Others liken the EDR to a spiritual awakening. Whatever you choose to call it, the El Diablo Run is an adventure you don’t want to miss. The roads and locations on the EDR are always exciting and unpredictable, but it’s the people who make our no-frills freakout hell ride so unique.

andy recently obtained a '69 triumph. it's pretty sweet. he's either going to ride thator he's thinking about building a bike. at first i told andy i'd fly down and meet him in baha and he was like, nah, you can ride a bike. i told him eh-eh. i have never driven a bike before and there is no way i'm going to drive one from cali to baha and back by next year. no way, no how. then we decided i would drive a truck because they need people with trucks incase a bike breaks down. to this i happily agreed.

ROAD TRIP IN '09, BABY!!
