so wedding plans are pretty much underway... we've met with the knowledgeable friend of his family who sits on the Ismaili council, we've met with his parents and discussed traditions and customs... the excitement is mounting like crazy and i think i've got a touch of wedding fever.
tracesofsilver can attest ;)
Right now i'm looking into reception venues, since they probably book up pretty quickly in a big city like T.O.
Anyone been anywhere really cool? Chic, even? A gallery, lounge, old theatre... I have a running list of about 25 to check out so far, not all of them are totally appealing, but you never know until you go and check it out. It could be anywhere, really. Somewhere that will hold 150-200 for a seated dinner & dance. I've even got Estonian House on my list of places! The great thing about more 'community-based'-type places like that is the lower cost, so I'm open to those, too. Any suggestions are appreciated.
I'm going to the Distillery District today to meet friends from out of town. So excited! But I'm afraid I might melt in this humidity... blech...

Watching the sunset was jawdropping. Here's a link, if you haven't already checked it out : http://www.thedocks.com/
My new reception desire room is the Jackman lounge at the new opera house - stunning! But I don't know if they do that kind of stuff.
