Crystal Healing by Judy Hall ( The Crystal Healing Set [ Box Set ] )
Amazon Link; Here
Lady Hall is known for her many books on crystals, and this one was no exception to it's useful factor. It contained all the information it advertised and then some, with wonderful starter crystals to boot! ( Wonderful for beginners in crystal healing! ) From my favorite Amethyst to the Sodalite, it brings twelve stones, 7 stones for chakra work and 5 master healer stones. I bought this back in June of 2008, and I'm very glad I did. I was looking for answers, and ways to stay calm and serene. I cannot stresshaha it enough how much this helped me, but you must be willing to heal, naturally. More information at a later time, promise.
KISS: Guide to Astrology by Julia & Derek Parker

What can I say? This was the first Astrology book I ever purchased ( back when I was 14 XD ). It's a nice start to learn more about Sun signs in general, but it's not concise. I've actually found a lot of inaccuracies, okay some, but still that turned me off. Be weary of the charts in the back section. I wouldn't recommend it, in my honest opinion. Although, I added it on because I still look into it from time to time. So I can't be a complete hypocrite. :) It has a lot of illustrations so that's a plus! And the fact that you could probably get this book for less than a buck at the Amazon Marketplace. XD

Woo! This book is great! It was recommended many times at Amazon through other readers, and I had to check it out. Sadly, you must have more than Sun sign knowledge in the Astrology area. In fact, you should have a birth chart in hand to reap the benefits of each of the crystal descriptions, and also be introduced to Sabian symbols. ( I have recs for the symbols too, so don't fret! :) ) If you would like a sample mini chart of the positions of the planets when you were born, then please pay the author's site a visit; http://www.crystalastrology.com/. I remember I had received this book in the mail when we were in hurricane watch during July of last year or something, so when it arrived at my doorstep it totally made my day. Unfortunately, I have yet to finish reading this delightful treat, but all Amazon.com reviews are positive. If you want to learn more about Sabian Symbols in general, this book is highly recommended, not just by me ( I have no say, since I have to finish reading it! ) but many trusted reviewers as well.
The Astrological Oracle: Divining your Future, Securing your Present by Lyn Birkbeck
Amazon Link; Here
I read that this book is one of the best out there, and when I went to purchase it I was informed it was out of print. To my dismay, I'm not one to give up so easily. I checked Amazon Marketplace that and saw that brand new from others would be pretty much ranging from 70-100 $US. Although, by some miracle of God, I saw they had a used copy for three bucks. Don't get me wrong, I was very sketchy, because I expected it to be in HORRIBLE condition. When I received it, it was in almost immaculate condition. I couldn't thank the seller enough. It was from a public library, and I'm surprised it was still in one piece! :o Now, even a used copy ranges from 25 and up. I'm very grateful I got my copy when I did. Either way, this is a special book because it works in the form of an Oracle. This is probably the top recommended book on Sabian symbols out there too, but as I said it's damn pricey. I have yet to discover all the wonderful secrets it holds, but I have the rest of my life for that.

The only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need by Joanna Martine Woolfolk
Amazon Link; Here
False advertisement? Nah, not really. It's a REALLY wonderful book for any beginner or intermediate in the Astrology field alike! This book was actually not purchased by me, but I kindapermanently borrowed it AGES ago. As pompous as this sounds, I think I used this book more than my friend ever planned on using it. I learned how to make birth charts with it, and took in so much useful information about so many useful astrological topics in general. Although, it does only stick to Astrology, but it has ACCURATE charts, which is an obvious plus. It was so difficult to make birth charts, when the supplied planetary charts in the back were inaccurate. *glares at the KISS version. D:<* All in all, if you're looking for that one book that you can turn to for just about anything relating to it's given topic, this is probably that book.
You Are Psychic: The Art of Clairvoyant Reading & Healing by Debra Lynne Katz

I cannot even begin to explain how much this book did for me at the time I bought it. I was looking for more information on Clairvoyance in general, and stumbled upon the amazing Debra Lynne Katz. She not only makes reading and learning enjoyable, but her methods have proven to be of much use. In a time where I was looking for answers about these paranormal things going around in my head, at home, this book helped me understand so much. She informs us all that we could too, everyone, can see things in their mind's eye we just have to train ourselves to develop our abilities. I thank the author ever so much. In such little time Ms. Katz has become one of my favorite authors, for so many reasons. Reading her books are always such a treat, because she puts everything in such understanding terms. I love it! A lot of these kind of books have a lot of technical mumbo-jumbo ( which I love too by the way, but that's not the point ), but Debra Lynne Katz speaks to you in such a friendly tone. It's infectious! I love her. Anyways, I have yet to finish this one as well, but I have high hopes, as well as for the next rec... *continues on to the next book*

Change Your Aura, Change Your Life: A Step-by-Step Guide to Unfolding Your Spiritual Power by Barbara Y. Martin with Dimitri Moraitis
Amazon Link; Here
and Audio CD version, complete meditation guide
Anther great edition to my library! The book that got me more interested in Metaphysics in general! I've always wondered about the aura, and this book answered so many of my questions. I always think twice now, before adding more destructive thinking to my daily life. Unfortunately sometimes it's inevitable, but this book helped me so much in becoming a more zen individual. I cannot thank this woman enough either. Barbara Y. Martin offers many meditation/visualization exercises with a thorough description of the different types of auras, and the different colors they could be made up of. There are many wonderful diagrams, in color, to further understand the aura in full. They have healing prayers to call upon the light to cleanse the darker parts of us away. There's so much that Barbara has given her readers, that I cannot simply describe it here. It wouldn't do her justice, and I simply cannot do that. Check out reviews if you're interested. Also, this is a very iffy subject, and I understand that many don't believe in these kind of methods. But, those with an open mind and heart, those willing to accept such, will be very glad they did soon enough.
The Healing Power of Your Aura: How to Use Spiritual Energy for Physical Health and Well-Being by Barbara Y. Martin with Dimitri Moraitis
Amazon Link; Here
Funny thing is, I purchased this book before it's counterpart. But, I realized it kept referring so much to the first book, that I went and bought it to read it before this one. It was well worth it, lemme tell ya. In this book though, we get a thorough view on what causes certain dis-ease, in turn, making us ill. The sick-sickness-death ( SSD ) term is explained in depth, and also supplies us with many colorful diagrams of what each negative part of the aura effects what. As the last installment, we also get many meditative prayers for healing purposes. I remember the reason behind buying this book first was, well, I thought of my mother. I wanted to know if there was something that triggered her Polymyositis. No, I'm not saying that these prayers will take away what she has, but it was something to look into. I've changed a good portion of my outlook in life ( still learning naturally ), and things have changed for the better in fact. Positive energy brings forth positive energy in return. There's many reasons why I would suggest purchasing this book, but none of it would apply if you don't believe in a higher power. Faith and hope, wills us further to self-improvement. I suggest to research these topics only if you're actually interested in changing your way of being, for the better. Or for plain curiosity, which is a just reason as well. :)
Practical Guide To Past-Life Memories: Twelve Proven Methods by Richard Webster
Amazon Link; Here
Don't let the dull cover, and cheesy title fool you. This book is one of the best books on past-life regression I've come across. I say this because the twelve proven methods indeed WORK. Anyone is bound to find at least ONE that would work for them. Just when I was losing hope on anything of the matter, I found that one. Regardless, past-life regression is all about trial and error. It's not easy, especially when you're doing it for yourself, but this man makes it so. So far, I can only say I've tried it once, but I had excellent results. It's very iffy for me to go back into memories of a past-life, because of my empathy. I have to be emotionally stable to do this, so I won't become attached to the visions I'm seeing. Sadly, right now I cannot. Either way, this is definitely a must-buy if you're interested in uncovering memories long forgotten. Richard Webster has many books, but I've only read this one. Hopefully in the future I'll have more books pertaining to this topic, as well as reincarnation and the like.
I fear this might be the longest section... Ah, my hands feel as if they're about to fall off from all the typing. D:
Tarot for Your Self : A Workbook for Personal Transformation Second Edition by Mary K. Greer
Amazon Link; Here
Brace yourselves darlings, for I have a quite a couple of this amazing woman's works. But this one is probably the number one Tarot book I'll be recommending. It felt as if I was taking a Tarot course, it's wonderful! She just has a way of teaching that always makes me feel as if I accomplished something magnificent. The most important and essential tool for learning more about the cards, is to always have a Tarot journal. Through Mary Greer I learned this, and it was indeed just what I needed to become better at interpreting. Not only that, but it's extremely useful to go back to an old reading, and notice things you didn't realize then. She taught me to see the cards, not as just pieces of cardboard, that they each have a specific personality. They do come to life, but only if you want them too. They can be your best friend in your time of need, only if you let them be. She really is a Goddess, and her methods have made me who I am today, and so proud. I'm still learning so much about myself, but she was probably the number one authoress to contribute to this change of mine. Thank you Mary K. Greer, I owe you big time.♥ But yes, for more information please check the reviews! Otherwise, I'm never going to finish this list~! :O
A Complete Guide to the Tarot by Eden Gray
Amazon Link; Here
This was the first ever Tarot book I purchased back when I turned fourteen. I used it A LOT back when I had to read at my high school's Renaissance Fair. XD It's very basic, but for any beginner or youngin such as myself it would leave you kinda confused. They were all very airy, mysterious, esoteric descriptions, that leaves very much to be grasped. Then again this book was published back in 1982!
Absolute Beginner's Guide to Tarot by Mark McElroy
Amazon Link; Here
Another cheesy title, and usually I steer clear from such, but this book was recced... and I checked it out and so glad I did. <3 This was purchased back when I got into reading for good, which was around August of last year. I was always on and off with the cards, because until Mary Greer came along, I was told that reading for yourself was a big no-no. Yeah, stupid me believed my mother... and the rest of my family. That and my family wasn't very supportive of my card reading, even if I showed potential. I said fuck them all, and went for it anyway. I do this because I want to help people, in turn helping myself. So it benefits me as well. Anyways, this book is great for beginners ( very easy to understand ), and has such a wonderful recommendation list. Mark McElroy is a great author, and I would definitely love to add more books of his to my collection! He's received all positive reviews, so check them out if interested.
Tarot Made Easy by Nancy Garen
Amazon Link; Here
For those that have recently gotten into the cards, and don't intend on making it part of your studies, this book would be for you. You don't need any prior knowledge of the cards with this baby. It gives it all for you in 32 easy categories! It's as easy as 1-2-3. All you have to do is pick out a card, look for it in the book and pick one of the many ranged categories you can choose from. Let's say you got The Lovers card, look it up, then choose which section you'd like to relate the card to. It could be from family, to romance, home, luck, mail, anxiety. It's easy, great, and fun! But, it takes away the mystery of a Tarot reading all together. Many might not like the guess work, but when something is so blatantly placed in front of you, there's no room to question or doubt anything. Tarot for me, is a self-learning tool, to better myself. If I'm just GIVEN an answer without working for it... it doesn't feel the same. I rec this book for those that want immediate simple answers from the cards.
Power Tarot: More Than 100 Spreads That Give Specific Answers to Your Most Important Question by Trish MacGregor and Phyllis Vega
Amazon Link; Here
OMG THIS BOOK IS AMAZING. I got it solely because it had over 100 different spreads. *gushes* I really do love the interpretations written for the cards as well, although it only covers upright meanings. But yes, this book is a MUST if you want to study more spreads.
Tarot for the Healing Heart, Using inner wisdom to heal body and mind by Christine Jette
Amazon Link; Here
I got this book for three bucks in the Amazon Marketplace, and it was also in wonderful condition! This is yet another one of those marvelous books, that I thank from the bottom of my heart. Christine Jette has many books relating to Tarot, but this one came to me by chance. Could you believe I was actually looking for something relating to the Arcana Heart game? Dx This beauty popped up out of nowhere! I'm amazed at how these things always occur. :3 I have only gotten a couple of chapters in, but this book has indeed so much to offer. I purchased it knowing I still have so much healing to do, and it would be wonderful to incorporate the cards in this ordeal. Read reviews for more information.
My hand is seriously about to fall off omg.
21 Ways to read a Tarot Card by Mary K. Greer
Amazon Link; Here
Another must have by the Goddess Mary K. Greer! Yes, this book is more for intermediate readers, but it's a very useful tool. Just when you think you've learned all there is about the cards ( which I think is near impossible considering all the possibilities ) Mary Greer gives us another marvelous gift. Sadly, I have yet to finish it, but so far the Tarot exercises in the book are very interesting. There are two forms of going through the 21 step process: "The way of the Apprentice" and "The way of the Adept". Both forms are not obligated, but it'd be best to reap the benefits of the given activities. It works as another workbook, just like "Tarot for yourself". Read reviews if interested! :D
Now, these selections are from the Special Topics in Tarot series;
Understanding the Tarot Court by Mary K. Greer and Tom Little
Amazon Link; Here
The special topics in Tarot series are meant for those already familiar with the cards, and would like to extend their knowledge on them. This one also by Mary K. Greer *grin* accompanied by TomThumb Little, as stated in the title is about the Tarot court. I loved this book! I really enjoyed the Tarot exercise where you had to construct a pool party with the royal court. XD It was fun! I would actually like to write about that, oh dear me. I'm such an odd duck. *huggles the Queen of Cups like whoa* But yes, if you want to learn more about the Tarot court this would be a nice book to add to your collection.
The Complete Book of Tarot Reversals by Mary K. Greer
Amazon Link; Here
Another obvious favorite, especially because of the topic at hand. Many of us assume the worst when we see a reversed card in a spread. Well, in this book Mary K. Greer offers us insight on the flipside of the Tarot. ;) A reversed card is not always what they seem, and with this book you'll come to understand that. With full upright and reversed interpretations of the cards, and specific spreads to get to know the reversed cards better. I use this book daily, and would recommend any Tarot enthusiast to get their own copy.
Read more about Mary K. Greer at her Tarot blog!
Past-Life & Karmic Tarot by Edain McCoy
Amazon Link; Here
I've read my share of negative reviews about this book, but it didn't stop me from wanting to purchase it as well. I have so many unanswered questions, and was curious about this topic in the series. Also, Mary Greer wrote the foreword for the book, and I wrote about it here, and gushed madly. I have yet to finish reading the rest, but so far it has a lot of things that have made me think. And hey, I can't go wrong with that! I promise a more thorough review at another time.
Tarot & Dream Interpretation by Julie Gillentine

I love it so far! It's a shame that the book seems to be out of print. D: But there are always willing sellers on the web, thankfully. This book has so much to offer, but I cannot disclose much information since I have ye to finish this one as well. *disappointed in self* So I'll get back to you guys when I do. :)

This was actually a gift by in ninth grade, from a friend. Nothing much to say, although, I got into Numerology and other subjects because of this book. xD
Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner by Scott Cunningham
Amazon Link; Here
Scott Cunningham is known for the amount of Wicca books he has written, and this is probably the most recommended throughout. So, if you're into Wicca, or want to learn more, but don't know where to begin, this book would be ideal.
The Hidden Truth of Your Name: A Complete Guide to First Names and What They Say About the Real You by Nomenology Project

Amazon Link; Here
This is the new edition btw, I have the old one. D:
DON'T JUDGE ME! LOL This has some interesting stuff too, especially pertaining to folklore and such. Nothing major, it's very sugarcoated, but what can we expect? I got this back when I was fourteen as well... so you can't blame me... >.>;

Mythology: Timeless Tales of Gods and Heroes by Edith Hamilton
Amazon Link; Here
Another one of those Scholastic catalog purchases back in middle school. Also an obligatory Mythology book to have. <33333
The Good Spell Book: Love Charms, Magical Cures, and Other Practical Sorcery by Gillian Kemp
Amazon Link; Here
Sadly, when I had bought this book at a local Borders, and when I got home I realized a bunch of pages had been torn out. It was the only book of it's kind at the store, so I kept it, torn pages and all. Aren't Istubborn smart? Well, it was funny because the pages that were missing had to be with, ahem, ready for this?... "Love Spells" Aye... silly rabbit people... I have no need for that. Regardless, it was an interesting read and take on the Romany folklore. If you're into that sorta thing, a lot of them could be of good use to you. ;)
These are only of the books I currently own of the given topics. I will continue to edit this post as my collection continues to grow. Thank you for those that read it all from beginning to end, and I hope it will encourage you to check some out.Ugh, I don't think I'm gonna do any more typinggg. *LE DIES*

Now, these selections are from the Special Topics in Tarot series;
Understanding the Tarot Court by Mary K. Greer and Tom Little
Amazon Link; Here
The special topics in Tarot series are meant for those already familiar with the cards, and would like to extend their knowledge on them. This one also by Mary K. Greer *grin* accompanied by Tom

DON'T JUDGE ME! LOL This has some interesting stuff too, especially pertaining to folklore and such. Nothing major, it's very sugarcoated, but what can we expect? I got this back when I was fourteen as well... so you can't blame me... >.>;
