 its no fair
Im am just utterly bored and unsatisfied if Im not painting
but I guess thats the way it has to be.
Its not all bad I guess
out of my search for satisfaction, Im reading more, drawing,  and filling my eyes with visuals, to later be mixed together at  random, making for those images that pop in my head at random.

but with all this boredom, I think too much, then all the stuff I try to keep in the back of me creeps up.

I ordered tons of canvas, so painting euphoria will soon come

when I was 3 my aunt bought me a doll as a gift. It was a monster like thing and  character from some childrens show. 
I named it baby monster and I took it everywhere. I left it in stores, it fell in the toilet, and was once stolen and later I found it in the dirt on the corner of my street. It lost all its fur, it has no features, exept those hard plastic eyeballs (with no eyes) and a circle where its mouth should be. Its actually really ugly. I slept with that thing up until a few years ago. I stopped out of realization that Im almost 30 and sleep with a doll.

so far so good.
this year hasnt been so crazy, well as far as work goes.
Im paceing myself good, and not putting to much on my plate.
Its hard not to, but its just to hard to balance so much.

this year has been strange, but maybe every year is.
Ive had a lot of growth this year, and a lot of pain, but I guess thats where the growth comes in.

So yeah onward

did a couple new paintings, and now sewing up bags.
I got a chance to learn how to do 2 and 3 color printing.
It wasnt as hard as I thought, but it was an all day event to print up 14.

long time no posty

May has been a productive month.
and a good month for art, well here at least.
Detroit is suffering, (but whats new) the economy is so bad here, really bad.
I can understand that people here would rather buy food, than art.
Im not sure if it is this reason why the Detroit art scene is none.
Ive been having so many conversations about art in Detroit lately.
Some say its dead here, some think its great, and some have hope.
I personally think there are great artists here ( Glenn Bar, Niagara, Mark Nischan, Mark Arminski, so on), but its bread over art.

so some big people in the art world came up with "Art Detroit Now".
an organization to push the art here, well at least make others realize there is art here.
they put together a 3 day art tour. maping out all the galleries and art happenings.
on the schedule was the Russell. the spring sale/ studio openings, was going on there.
I will be moving into Marks studio, well sub-leasing, Im there all the time anyway, so I will be working there, which is a great place to work on my sewing projects and bigger paintings. yay! Its sure to be fun times.

So anyway getting ready for the day was time consuming, and the day itself was an all day event.
but fun stuff.
and blah blah, the Icon show was Friday, that was good, I working on another piece for it since its running till July.
