How do they come up with these hurricane names? Wilma has me thinking about the Flintstones. Anyway, I got woke up this morning by a loud bang from tree branches falling on my roof which happened courtesy of Hurricane Wilma. They closed all the schools as a precaution, which I think is a good idea.



I live right on the P in Tampa, but that's not even where Tampa is. Tampa is more to the east across the bay. And that ends the useless geography lesson. Tampa Bay never seems to get a direct hit from hurricanes and that probably caused me to have a ho-hum attitude about them. Hurricane Katrina kind of changed my attitude real quick. Now I'm talking about storm surges and wind gusts like I'm a meterologist or something. I'm asking my mom do we have enough water, what our evacuation plan is, and a lot of other stuff. Sadly, my efforts at hurricane preparedness are greatly underappreciated. She told me to shut up and stop being annoying. LOL At least the crazy dog seems to be taking it seriously since he won't stop barking at the wind.
