It's 81 degrees right now... in Michigan... in October. Tomorrow it's supposed to be 80. Um... kill me. I hate being hot, but I especially hate being hot on Mondays.
I'm about to clean the apartment like it's nobody's business. Then take a shower. Because it's too damn hot.
I open the bottle again and pop another placebo - it's psychosomatic effect is briefly felt, greatly enjoyed, and ultimately worthless. a moment of fleeting escapism in my crushing conscious knowledge of doom. ( It's 4am and freezing. I can see my Breath )
There was a spider in my car last night on my way home from Blissfield. It dropped down from the ceiling and I tried to smack it. I probably pissed it off and now it - and its 700 babies that are probably hatching in my car as we speak - are going to seek revenge on me during my drive to Blissfield tonight.
I hate these once-a-month weeks where I have to drive two nights in a row to Blissfield. Our meeting last night lasted over 2 hours. Ummmm kill me.
And I didn't get to watch the debate. I could have caught it on NPR on the way home but I was too pissed off about the meeting to enjoy it.
Yes, Snash is in the house! He's working on the music department Web site I guess, so he's around Alex every Friday. How exciting!
If Lauren could just transfer back to EMU, my life would be complete...
Nah it's not so bad. I'm getting used to the smaller studio. Practice times can be more flexible, and I get WAY more time in Pease. And the new kid is starting to open up, after I decided it would be funny to give everybody gangsta names, and then Russian names. We're all carpooling to a recital Sunday night so I'm ready for the bonding to begin.
Things are going extremely well right now. I'm playing in a master class tomorrow for Naji Hakim, um... he's kind of a huge deal. The fact that I get to play is very exciting and I'm happy with my piece and how much work I've put into it. We're all going out to Tower Inn after, which is a fun time, and then Sunday night he's playing in Ann Arbor and I'm pumped!
Bobby ended up meeting with that lawyer, and basically, he gave us his word that we are 100% in the right, our landlord is unprofessional and has no legal standing, and that no judge in their right mind would rule in her favor. So we're meeting with her today to basically tell her we're only going to pay what our lease says we owe (what a concept!) and we'll see what happens.
I have to take Casey to Ida in a little bit for some shots. Casey in the car is so sad, but also funny. She has this horrible car-meow because she HATES car rides and she just cries and cries and it makes me want to die and laugh at the same time. Seriously it sounds like she's giving birth. So it should be fun.
I'm being Yoda for Halloween! SME might me Darth Vader, and we shall duel at Pipes Spooktacular!
So i have been/still am sick and have been for a week now. it really really sucks. But, because i'm such a "the-glass-is-half-full" type of person, i've decided to put a spin on this thing and make today, the top 5 good things about being sick for an extended period of time (longer than 36 hours). Since this is such a subjective list, i expect you people to contribute to this list as well, cuz im sure there's a lot of good things i missed.
This one is in order
#5: no expectations/reason to bathe or take care of yourself whatsoever. Showers feel great and all, but there are days when i really really don't wanna do it. now, if im healthy, i'm looked at as a lazy disgusting pig. HOWEVER, i am sick and therefore am a poor baby and told not to worry about it.
#4: Orange Juice and Ice Cream: Orange Juice is just the legal form of marijuana. it cures any and all sickness. Ice Cream is soothing to the throat and cooling to the touch. If it were up to me, all meals would consist of orange juice and ice cream. however, because this is impractical and some people are lactose intolerant(which to me is just racism against cows). BUT NOT WHEN YOU'RE SICK. When you're sick, all the ice cream and orange juice you can handle, baby! and i take full avantage.
#3: PJ's all day long. This is not only awesome, but completely practical. I have these black fuzzy cotton jammies that put all other jammies to shame, and i will take the pepsi challange with anybody else's jammies who think could top mine, but letting u know now, you will lose my friend. Because im sick, i get to wear these all day long with nobody questioning my motivation in life.
#2: the price is right: When i was in high school and was sick, there was nobody more comforting than bob barker and his molested/borderline raped barker's beauties(look it up, barker was a pervert). Now in college, Drew Carey picks up where bob left off, and despite criticism, i think drew does a fantastic job. he insults the contestants and almost dies at least once an episode. just yesterday, the flip-flop game(one of the worst games ever) almost decapitated him, it was fantastic.
#1: Weight Loss: Lose weight without even trying!!! OMG is being sick good if you need to shave off 5-10 lbs. I'm pretty sure that i've lost at least 7 pounds in the last 5 days and i have barely left the house. So if you got that big date next weekend and are lookin to drop a few lbs. fast to impress that certian someone, get your hair wet and stand outside for a while. 'tis the season to get pneumonia.
