So it's official I'm going to need the surgery Dr.Kaufman confirmed that yesterday. Even though it kinda sucks, I'm not all that surprised something told me it was going to happen. The procedure shouldn't take that long, about 1 1/2 to 2 hours being operated on. I know the first couple of days of recovery will suck, and my von willebrands and thalassemia will make damn sure of that. I kind of wish we could have found this out sooner, since I'd really rather not do this with classes going on but I don't have much of a choice. Hopefully at the most I'll miss a week and a half of classes, but I'm hoping they can do this on a Wednesday so I can have Thursday, Friday, and the weekend to get my shit together.
Ooo, and I have a sweet ass chair for the little on campus apartment. It's actually Stan's chair, but thats ok because Stan is cool and provides for me even though I'm just Liz's weird minority friend. It's big, comfy, and comes with an ottoman. This will truly be the chair we're going to fight over when we're playing nintendo. |
