Was supposed to be working from home today, but my dial-in access wouldn't work. Remembering I'd been told I'd get a new dial-in account when I was migrated to the new computer platform, I tried that, since my migration was supposed to happen a couple weeks ago. No luck there either.
I call the helpdesk, and they say that yes, I have been migrated to the new account, and that it should work with my same password. I tell them it doesn't. They ask me to try it again and tell them the error code, so I do.
Time passes...
The helpdesk calls me back and tells me they've migrated me back to the old account. I try that. It doesn't work. They go off to look into it.
Time passes...
The helpdesk calls me back for additional details, and then quickly calls me back again to say that because they've had me try to login (and fail) so many times now, my account is locked out, and I have to call a different helpdesk.
I call the second helpdesk, identify myself, they reset my account and hang up.
I try to login. It still doesn't work.
At this point I gave up and went to the office instead.
Bah.
