So, um, yeah. Might have noticed posting of The Beast has begun in earnest! :D
I wanted to share something else I am pretty proud of. I made a photo illustration for the cover of the PDF for the whole story (which I don't want to make available until everything is up, because I'm STILL finding missing words and tiny typos as I post and... well... wish to be perfectionist).
I took a couple of photos, one of Renée Z. and some fellow, and one of an opera house. I made the fellow stand up straight, took out the background and the railing, did some fancy footwork and waved a magic wand, and ( produced this. )
Glad folks are enjoying the story... I hope it doesn't turn into TL;DR and y'all lose interest :)

"You + Me + Alcohol" by Allison Weiss |

This was a big year for my iTunes library. With the discovery of a plethora of new bands and different places to get cheap and free music (yay, indie artists!) and iTunes free downloads (ILY, NYLON MAGAZINE!), plus rad people like AASHNA, I nearly tripled my library. As of Dec. 18, we're at 4,991 songs; 23.10 GB. Pretty proud. While it was difficult to narrow down, I chose about 10 songs that were on repeat for me during every month. I highly reccomend all of these songs. I've also included a few playlists/songs that kept recurring throughout the year. I realize how pretentious it is for me to go ahead and post something like this, declaring my music taste superior to yours (although to be fair, it's certainly more diverse than some of you) but I think it's an accurate depiction of how 2k9 went. ( HOLY SHIITE, IT'S ALMOST 2010. )

Tabula Rasa
By S. Faith, © 2009
Total words: 128,281 (Prologue, Chapters 1-24, Epilogue)
This part: ~480
Rating: M / R
Summary: There’s a whole history you never would have guessed was there.
Disclaimer: Would I ever be able to express to you how much these characters, this universe, are not mine?
Notes: Yes, folks, this is it.
I literally could not have done this without my lovely C. ♥
Author’s request: If you have speculations about where you think this might be going, I ask that you refrain from making said speculations in the comments, so as not to spoil it, as it were. I will delete comments of that nature. Thanks in advance—much appreciated.
No, fly me, fly me, far as pole from pole;
Rise Alps between us! and whole oceans roll!
Ah, come not, write not, think not once of me,
Nor share one pang of all I felt for thee.
—Alexander Pope, “Eloisa to Abelard”
Prologue

See what happens when one does not have a Beast to work on anymore? I was browsing for a photo with which to make a cover illustration on the PDF version, and stumbled across these two pics.

Did someone who reads here procure my Darcy Claus icon and use it on this forum? I don't care, but I'd like credit, if that's even possible. (...OK, to be fair, all I did was paint on the Santa hat. The icon was originally made by brakspants, so I'm sure she (he?) would like credit too.)
Anyway, lots of old, old pics of Mr. Firth on this page though. The ones from '85 KILL ME DED. (I'd've loved to have heard the Pinter speech.)

Forgot to mention here, did get the truck fixed. $185. Cap and rotor. Sometimes I wish my dad lived closer. :-/
Headache, last two days. In some ways next weekend, 4 day weekend, can't come fast enough.
