Gods. The New Zealand Police Force ain't half efficient.
I was carrying the fake guns to the Deus Ex filmshoot, in a large bag. This would not have been a problem, had not some sharp-eyed member of the public saw them when I opened it to pull out my wallet to pay for the train.
Hence, at the Ellerslie train station, the train stopped. Long pause. Huh, wonder why they've stopped.
Police cars appeared.
Police on train.
Erin has time to think, Oh shit, they can't be here about the '16? when a tall police sergeant walks past me, to my bag, opens it, and sighs in relief.
"Just fakes! Okay, miss, follow me, please. Up the aisle, that's it."
Erin duly obeys.
I got the entire "Carrying fakes is a bad idea, people gets scared, if you have to keep them fully concealed so as not to scare people." talk, along with the remark that he was about to arm his people up. "Would've been worse, if you'd had someone point a gun at you. People have been shot before." I know he was just emphasising the point, and it probably wouldn't have happened, but OMGSCARY!
Full name, contact details, driver's licence, occupation, address, the whole shebang. And then the sergeant drove me into Uni, where I'm writing this now. Didn't get arrested, didn't get them taken off me, just a caution, but dear gods I am not doing that again. Or at least, I'm keeping them concealed.
I hereby commend the New Zealand Police Force for their efficiency and thank them for being nice when they discovered it was a mistake.

11:12 am - Boooooored. So Posting.
Hum-ze-hoo. I thought that since I was here, and the Privateer Forums are temporarily unavailable (gah, maintenance), that I would actually post something in me LJ, as I haven't done for ages.
Last night was shoot for Deus Ex Fanima. MAJOR annoyance that the dialogue we were supposed to be shooting for Peter wasn't able to be done, due to a little thing called 'background noise'. Some a$$hole had left a generator on in the room next to where we were shooting, and the buzz meant that it was utterly unfeasible to shoot - it was irregular, so the noise eliminator couldn't be used, and it would have been an utter waste of time. Poots. However, we did get a couple of shots of Peter leaping over the banister to cut in with that scene, so it wasn't a total loss. Patrick's fight scene went a lot better (different location, and thankfully not having to cart lights everywhere). It was a brief clip for the final, climactic moment, and it should slice well. I just hope that my inexperience with a boom mike won't show too much, and the sound quality is okay.
Oh, an' yesterday I got T3h Boots. They are the perfect mechanik's boots. I saw them in No. 1 Shoe Warehouse, and the following conversation occurred:
Erin: Oooh, nice boots.
Kasmira: You want them. You really do.
Erin: No, I don't need them, I have three pairs of boots already. And 'sides which, I don't have enough money to spare.
Kasmira: Says the woman who bought a box set of Devil Dogs because she needed one figure.
Erin: Which means I have less money! And besides which, that was to build a model of you!
Kasmira: Well, yeah, but you can only get MacHorne in the box set. And you're building a mechanik's costume anyway. And they're the last pair.
Erin: NOT THE POINT!
Kasmira: Yes, the point. You want them.
Erin: .....
Kasmira: Come on, you know you want to...
Erin: .........
Kasmira: *poitpoit*
Erin: Oh fine then!
Given the number of compliments I've gotten on them, *sigh* she was right. *eyeroll*
Oh well, gotta go, I have lectures soon... *sigh* I hate Uni sometimes. Especially on Mondays.
