So we got tickets like a week ago for the Dark Knight that was showing today. Then, I hear about this horrible horrible tradgedy that occured at a Colorado movie theatre. Aparently, this pretty normal to do guy, in college, very smart, just went mad and planned out this terroristic attack on a movie theatre filled with people watching The Dark Knight.

So this frightented me a little. I saw the movie today. It went smoothly and there was hardly a line. Could it be from panicked people steering away or just that it was not a prime time for the movie. The theatre must have anticipated a line because they had already set up a lined area with ropes and whatnot. Only a handful of us were in line maybe ten or so. It was a good movie and leaves room for more to come. I enjoyed it, but could not help noticing toward the end of the film there was a police officer in the theatre standing near the entrance and wondering if this was because of what happend in Colorado.

Honestly, I feel like this is going to be like it is now with schools. Possible detectors and officers readily available. I do not think they would do that to smaller towns, like mine, but than again look what happend in that supposed small town in Colorado. If that happens I could see movie ticket prices skyrocketing to cover for security expenses. However, going forward I will keep in mind that I should not feel completely comfortable in a movie theatre any longer.

And my heart goes out to the families and friends of those who passed.
