Muddy sneakers
Broken guitar.
Empty fridge,
Moldy bread.
An eggshell,
Cracked open on the floor.
The insides drain out all over the place
The gooey mess is indescribable.
The world spins out of control,
People killing each other.
People fucking each other
In good and bad ways.
We suck it in through our mouths
Through the burning, ashing ciggarette.
It stings our throat and rots our insides.
But we need it to remain sane.
But it all comes back to that eggshell.
That spilling, oozing mess.
The world that surrounds it is falling,
And the yoke is unveiled amongst the goo.
She cleans her room
And scrapes the mold from her bread.
She stares in awe at the dead chicken baby on the floor.
She scoops it up and throws it in the trash.
