| Bio: | somnambulance: a screaming vehicle that comes and brings insomniacs to a hospital where everyone stays up all night watching Donnie Darko (occasionally, as a special treat, they watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind instead) over and over again, drinking vanilla bean frappuccinos. These are a Few of My Favorite Things 1. Words. Currently my favorite word is teacups. Not teacup, singular, but teacups, plural. It sounds so comforting and soothing. Tea is easy on the lips and then the "k" sound pops in and interrupts the peace and then the "s" just carries it away. I also like what it reminds me of, drinking tea in my pajamas, although this is a made up vision, because I don't like tea. When I'm sick, I prefer hot chocolate or apple cider, but not the kind that comes from the packet. Powdered hot cocoa is tolerable, powdered apple cider is not. Which reminds me that today in a magazine I saw a shirt that was made out of 100% milk. Apparently they freeze dry the milk and spin it into thread. It cost $110. I couldn't help but wonder if it would just disintegrate if it was raining. Like, wouldn't it just melt away? It's only milk powder. I also like making up words, like somnambulance, although someone made it up before me. However, just because someone thought of it first doesn't make it any less original. If someone invented the lightbulb a couple weeks after Edison, I think he would be just as smart as old Tom. Just not as rich. 2. Eyelashes. Especially long ones on babies. My interest in them has fueled many eyelash-related questions. If you trim them, do they grow back? How come they don't keep growing? How much would it hurt to pluck them? Is there a hair-growing solution for them, like Rogaine? | |||||
