I don't think I like it...

Talk about timing, eh? EH?

I dusted this baby off just in time for Justin's new single. And lemme tell you, I'm very excited that he's stepped away from the big screen and returned to the boom box (nobody uses boom boxes anymore, but it sounds better than "Ipod" or "XM Satellite Radio"). It's great. Sometimes musicians get disoriented by Hollywood stardust and stop churning out the good music. It happens to the best of 'em. It even happened to MC Hammer. Remember when he did that really bad movie? No, not Addams Family. The one with Clarissa Explains It All. Did anyone else see that?

I've digressed.

Anywho, Justin's back with SexyBack, and that's great...back. Well, half of that is true. He's back, yes, but the song isn't nearly is awesome as I thought it would be. I was expecting something mellow, something Isley-ish with a great beat. But it turned out to be, I dunno, busy. And that's not bad. Just not what I expected.

Okay, you ever go to a restaurant and order something that you think is gonna taste a certain way, but then you get it and it tastes totally different? Or, like, you're seven years old and you pick up your mom's cup off the kitchen table thinking it's iced tea, but it's actually beer? And it, like, totally gets you off guard because it's nothing like you expected? It's kind of a shock to your system.

So, um, that's what it was like. It's different. And it doesn't even sound like Timbaland to me. He has a signature sound that you can usually pinpoint. Way different. The whole song sounds less like Justin and more like JC, and I kinda like that. But it'll take some getting used to.

Nevertheless, I'm excited about the album.

And LOL @ everyone trying to like it. It'll grow.

At the end of the day, I really thinking the word "Bringing" should have been in the title because I keep picturing a person with a sexy back. People have sexy backs!

P.S. I'll be tweaking this layout tonight. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain awkward styles and colors.
