A book meme, stolen from a couple of people on my F-list (:
1. Favorite childhood book?
Het Ei van Oom Trotter - Marc De Bel.
2. What are you reading right now?
I never lend books from the library.
4. Bad book habit?
Sometimes I stop reading a book when I'm halfway through it and continue it months later.
5. What do you currently have checked out at the library?
Nothing.
6. Do you have an e-reader?
No, but I do often read e-books on my laptop or on my phone.
7. Do you prefer to read one book at a time, or several at once?
Several at once, always.
8. Have your reading habits changed since starting a blog?
Nope.
9. Least favorite book you read this year (so far?)
I've only read 2 books since the beginning of this year and they were both excellent books.
10. Favorite book you've read this year?
Same as the previous question.
11. How often do you read out of your comfort zone?
Comfort zone? I read everything that looks fine to me. Although I did read Twilight, despite everyone's warnings... I wish I had listened to them.
12. What is your reading comfort zone?
I suppose fantasy, sci-fi and historical novels. And Sherlock Holmes. I usually don't like detective novels, but I like Sherlock Holmes.
13. Can you read on the bus?
I read a lot when I'm on the train.
14. Favorite place to read?
My bed, the sofa, or at a coffeeshop with a hot cup of coffee.
15. What is your policy on book lending?
I lend books to people I'm sure of they'll bring them back/take good care of them.
16. Do you ever dog-ear books?
Never.
17. Do you ever write in the margins of your books?
No. If I want to write something down, I'll always do it on a piece of paper and then stick it between the pages of the book.
18. Not even with text books?
That's a completely different story! My school books are filled with notes and little drawings.
19. What is your favorite language to read in?
English.
20. What makes you love a book?
I need to be completely sucked into the story. So much that when someone calls me while I'm reading, I won't hear them. The book can't be predictable either, I like being surprised :D
21. What will inspire you to recommend a book?
If I really liked it and can't shut up about it.

Fantasy.
23. Genre you rarely read (but wish you did?)
Nothing really comes to mind. Maybe more science books?

I've only read one: Simon Pegg's. I should read Stephen Fry's too.

A cookbook.

Only have one: Ons kookboek

I usually don't read reviews.

If the book's bad, then I'll give it a bad review. Quite simple.

I can read in a foreign language, pfft! But if I could pick another one, I'd like to be able to read in Gaelic.

Errr, I don't recall every being intimidated by a book.

I'm not really into poetry.

I read pretty much every day.

I can't remember the title, but I once had to read a French book for school and I never got further than 10 pages.

Lord of the Rings.

Can't think of one right now.
46. The most money I’ve ever spent in the bookstore at one time?
Eeek, way too much.

Always.
48. What would cause you to stop reading a book half-way through?
I don't know, but I do it a lot. I will pick up reading the book a while later though. I usually like to finish the books I've started reading.

Like a maniac.

Keep them, they're mine! My own, my precious.

The first book I ever read. i didn't want to because I believed reading was stupid, but I loved it. I think that was De Zusjes Kriegel by Marc De Bel, when I was 8.

There are probably a few, but I can't recall any right now.
