Sorry guys. I just have been so busy with school... my last class will be December 15, so I ABSOLUTELY promise to work on things then. I also plan on some holiday-related supernatural blends, so I'll try my best to make up for not being dependable. |

| Yet another no-update update |

This will affect the 5 people who care about Sims 3: I am back to being Sims 2 exclusive...for now. Sims 3 will not work at all on my desktop (as compared to Sims 2, which runs well); also, while I'm playing it on my laptop, while smooth, overheats it pretty quickly and once it cools down and resumes, I lose everything I've worked on... because my computer will automatically close out Sims 3 :D
Therefore, until I update my desktop to make it playable, I will only be using Sims 2.
Of course, Sims 2 is awkward to play again. Two things I miss from Sims 3- the customization and the adjustable camera angle. On a good note- I made a house from my own design. I *still* haven't finished the dark blend, because pixelation is still an issue and that I haven't finished blending (because each age and gender are different tones.. I can't just copy the same layers to save time).
Then again, with everyone becoming a creator, who needs me when they can just make their own :P |

I'm off for three days (except for the 2.5 hours I'll be tutoring in math) and I have no homework so..... Sims 2 time! These are a few of the nose masks I'll be uploading once I'm finished with the dark blend. From left to right: Pooklet, Enayla, and Jirka. Probably the majority will work on light/medium skintones, but I'm gathering some for darker blends too.... including sets that have dark versions (like Pooklet's and Enayla's). I might do a set for supernaturals too- definitely aliens, but the rest might vary on what I find.
Again, I must apologize for being unproductive :( |

| 2 NEW SIMS AND FUTURE PROJECT |

Clo and Bella Redux are now up. The only thing I kept in is the nose masks that they had on, so use Installer if you don't want them in your game.

Once I am done with the Dark Leh-Teru_k blend, I will be making my own set of nose masks. Sirona Sims are fine to use, but I'd be using teru_k's alpha as opposed to Sirona Sims, so you'd be getting the nose area only (hers add a little more texture, which can be a little noticeable). Also, I plan on using more than Jirka's skintones as masks... at least Enayla, Pooklet, and Rensim. |

First, a semi-important announcement: Until I update my desktop (which will be in... December at least), I will not be uploading any Sims 3 stuff. The game is now a bitch to play on both computers, so I'm not going to bother. So for a short while-ish... I am back to being strictly Sims 2.

Sorry guys. School started like... three weeks ago, and I dislike all of my classes. ANYWAYS... an update on the lehdark and removal of the pixelatedness.... I'm going to redo the whole thing. I had it done, but I stupidly didn't save the layers.... I'm kind of pissed I did that, but at least I solved what I'm going to do, and it'll make the blend (and future blends) much smoother. I've noticed a LOT of my earlier stuff are badly pixelated, yet I still get about 40 e-mails every day that people are still downloading them.
Anyway, here's a side by side of the pixelated and smoother blend:
Not a noticeable difference, but a lot better.
I will upload the pixelated version for those who don't care, but I will (hopefully) quickly follow with the smoother version.

Le sigh. I finished blending the dark skintone, but. so. pixelated. How does it look for everyone?

Haven't been working on skintone as finals are upon me. education > Sims 2.
Anyway, SO PSYCHED for the new Sims 3 EP- too bad I probably won't get it until I update my desktop; my laptop's getting pretty full, as it shouldn't be. It's for school, not for fun :(
After Friday afternoon at 1 PM, I will be free from the clutches from higher education for about..... 2-3 weeks. I WILL have the alien skintone finished before the weeks are done, and hopefully finish the Teru_k/Len blends. After that, it's questionable. I still haven't worked out my Fall schedule yet, so no idea on how the future months are going to look.
So just a heads up- expect some stuff this weekend. |

I'm planning on a supernatural set-ish of skintones with matching sims: they won't be matchy-matchy, but they will obviously be supernatural. First one- alien. Next- zombie. And so forth.
I've finished the sim, but I have not started on the blend yet. Once I get started, I'll be more than happy to share pics.
So yeah- PROGRESS. IT HAS BEEN STARTED.
Oh, and, after the alien blend I will finish the teru_k/Len blends. |

So it does seem like I've been lacking in the Sims 2 department, which is understandable. However, I actually have some plans that I would love to achieve when I get some free time. I would love to share them, and maybe get some input.
1. My first goal is to finish the Teru_k/Lin blends that have been nagging me for a while. I just plan to do the dark, and MAYBE alien. I did one big supernatural blend with the Chaz/Pooklet, and that is enough for me.
2. The Teru_k/Lin set will the last set I will do, if for a long while. I would like to go back to what I do best- experimenting. Some will be shiny, and some will be matte. No skintone will be left untouched. I find it easier to do when I'm not set to a sort of theme that sets have.
3. Finally, I would set up a more permanent place to find all of my sim-related things- the astromeso journal. I've only gotten the bare bones set up, but I will work on making it easy to find things based on sim, blend, or lot, and based on the creators I used (like all the Pooklet related blends will be together, Rensim, etc.). I will take retake pictures so that they would somewhat match, as opposed to... not match. This journal WILL still be here, and it will not close as I originally planned. However, none of my work will be located here in the future, but I will link it here to future updates. You will not miss anything if you do not friend astromeso, so do not feel necessary to add it. All the Sim CC will be public; only thing that would be private on it would be my personal life, and it's not that interesting.
4. I also plan on doing something I was originally set against... making a face default for Sims 3. I think all of them are excellent and I recommend any of them, so it's just setting it to my own personal taste. I'll probably be using HP's face textures as a base, but I haven't decided what skintones I will use (if the original textures are the same size as Sims 2 textures, then it'll be easier). I will try my best to keep a balance of matte and shiny.
I do not know when I'll start these, as I'm still sort of busy and probably will be until early August. |
