Currently we have just experienced a more than crazy prom and corset season here at To Die for Designs.

Summer season is upon us, and what that means is Wedding Season!
We are pretty much booked solid until the end of August.

Models needed For New York fashion show...

To Die For Designs will be bringing our Clothing Line to New York for the first time the weekend of August 22-24 to take part in Neo-Victorian/Victorian Themed Fashion Show at the Dances of Vice Festival's Time Travellers Ball.
You must be available for August 24th and the show is being held at The Rebel Nightclub in NYC. Models must have a way to get to the venue.

We will be showcasing corseted outfits and large corseted ball-gowns in a Victorian, Neo-Victorian and Steampunk style. Our shows are known for their theatrical nature, and thus if you have any special talents that may be incorporated into our show please let me know.

I will need 10-12 models for our show.
I will need Men and Women
Must be between the age of 21-35
Must have experience wearing corsets and elaborate gowns, along with stage or acting experience.
Sizes 4-12
Busts of 34-40
Waists of 26-32
Hips of 36-42

I KID YOU NOT!!!
A few hours ago, I heard this awful whirring motor sound. I thought it was coming from outside. It sounded EXACTLY LIKE maintenance crews drilling through concrete on our main street. Dear lord, I thought not again, and I know summer is here!!
Went down for more coffee and thought "Hey, that sound is alot louder" that is when I realized that it was coming from , yup inside my house, more to the point by my refrigerator!!
I opened the door, the sound got worse. I opened the freezer, and the sound was magnified by at least 100 times.
The repair man has been and gone, its been patched up,but wont last:( looks like a brand new fridge is in the works. Money, sadly I do not have due to just paying off and cancelling all of my CC's except for the one, which, yes you guessed it, has nowhere near enough room on it for a 1000.00 fridge. My Mum and dad cannot help as they are broke due to carrying my Grandmothers estate for the last year. had this happened 2 or 3 weeks from now, no problem, but ack...

I have not been online as much recently, due to assisting my Mom and Dad with my Grandmothers estate still. It has been an uphill battle with that all the way. yes she passed away last June, however, anyone who has had to deal with clearing up a loved ones estate, especially someone who had such a large amount of stuff, will know its not an easy, 2 week task. It takes alot of time and money to settle an estate, even before you get any inheritance. it has put a financial drain on my parents, which in turn has caused health issues for them both, leading me to worry constantly about each of them, and about their money situation, while waiting to settle an over 550,000.00 estate. I have had my own health issues and frankly am pretty freaked out at the possibility that the lumps I have found could be cancerous. Then I have lately gone through alot of dissapointment so I have just in general not really wanted to be online much. Lately the only thing that has been keeping my spirits up has been working in my garden (when I feel up to it and my furbabies)

SO with that goes hand in hand not checking out friends livejournals or commenting much in them unless I see something that really jumps out...

If you look at my todiefordesigns journal, I have not made a post there since late April, other than sales posts. I took a break and did not post in my sidonie journal for nearly 2 weeks in early may. So I have not gone back and read most likelya few thousand posts, makes sense when one is busy. Right?
Even now, I do not read the hundreds of livejournal posts that aremade everyday... I have a few spare minutes while I am eating to check e-mail and send mails out for order status etc...

I am in the middle of prom season, and wedding season is looming ahead. Not to mention custom client orders, mainly corsets which take more time than regular items. I am currently
backed up by at least 2 weeks on orders, and have a huge pile of things to mail out.
being behind sucks because I need constantly need to get more orders in to keep the cash flow going...

So less time on the nets..I am so tired , stressed and hope to the gods its all for something down the line ...."

So when I received mail from someone causing me issues, I did not take it lying down, I e-mailed how I felt. The nice person in me wanted to let it go, however, with all the dissapointment I have gone through, I have decided to stand up for myself and state how I felt. I felt that maybe it was time to leave the internet world, and its drama...
A few of you decided to defriend me, that is fine.
I am most likely keeping this journal, but I will be keeping everything much closer to the chest and will write on HIGH FILTER.
