While a lot of fairy tales don't have actual fairies in them -- some of them do. And of course there are many tales in which a name is very, very important. Keeping that in mind, I thought it would be fair to point out the Fairy Name Generator. (especially cause I liked my result!)

Okay, this may be resolved quickly and maybe I'm just freaking out... but I'm freaking out. I mean, on a scale of 1 to 10 it's probably like a 3, but WHERE IS MY WISHLIST? I tried to update it and when I clicked on the link to it, a notice says that the link either doesn't exist or is broken or out of date or somesuch.

And I can't find the Wishlist topic because the search feature is driving me nuts and I forgot how to navigate the forum. I've gotten too comfortable at the forum, obviously, and can't recall the essentials.

So is anyone else experiencing weirdness? Was there a server issue that happened that I didn't know about?

It was an interesting holiday. The Pacific ocean is really beautiful, not so much during the day when it's all hot and sparkly, but early in the morning and in the grey of twilight. This morning there were pods of dolphins swimming by the boat jumping and zooming along.

Hi everyone ^.^ Just wanted to update you on packages, circles, etc.


ALL Smoky Moon, sales, swaps, and fixes are shipped, including internationals! :D

Fairies and Warriors Queens (including those who requested to have shipped what can be shipped) porbably won't be going out sooner than Friday. :( I'm very, very sorry--I thought I'd have time to ge to those who responded yesterday...then was told I had to leave at 3:45 a.m. for my surgery, so bedtime was very early ^^; I also was not counting on the fact that even sitting up makes my world spin and my stomach curl (I nearly fainted this morning trying to read e-mails), so even keeping up with comments/what people wanted takes forever.

NOT asking for pity, but letting you all know what's going on so you don't think I've dropped off the earth (that would hurt ALL over). I'm currenlty dictating things to my brother to type, but I don't know how long his good-will is going to last. Hopefully in a week my body will be cooperative enough to at least let me sit up (which will let me read e-mails, print labels, and decant without help). Until then, I will be slow to respond >< (but respond I will, 'cause I can't just stare at the ceiling for the next 10 weeks!)

We went to pick up Squeaky's ashes this evening. It was hard. I cried a lot. I had a hard time even holding the box. We have a fully packed weekend, so we will likely do a Squeaky memorial early next week. Most of his ashes will be scattered in the nearby woods. A bit will be saved for a potted plant that will sit on our back stoop, so he can go with us wherever we go.

We're going to frame a picture of him and keep it by the door, so we see it every day. We're also going to buy a box and fill it with pictures, memories, and his favorite catnip mouse.

Thank you Anna and Brooke, your condolence cards were very appreciated. Thank you, Abby, for the donation in his name.

And now to finish the last parts of the update, dye my roots, and then get properly drunk on girly coconut rum.

My daughter's 17th birthday is coming up next month and I had money saved to give to her as a gift but her hard-drive crapped out on her computer and I ended up having to use it to replace it. We are kinda brokeish right now so in an attempt to try and give her something I am selling a pretty decent sized lot. I really do not want to deal with struggling to sell this all piecemeal so I'd like it to just go, which is why I am pricing it fairly cheap.

Small note, a lot of the labels are in bad shape, some have stains, some are ripped, all of the samples have rolled labels to fit them in the ammo case. Oil levels are estimates, in some cases I cant see under the label so I did my best.. Shipping includes delivery confirmation. Sold as-is so you may want to insure it if you are worried about breakage or stupid postal service loss. If you want pics, I can take some, just let me know.

You may have noticed the disappearance of an earlier post which advertised a 'decant circle' for the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund's rare collectible set of Terry Moore's Strangers in Paradise which comes with a limited-edition BPAL scent Parker Lily. The mods have deleted that post. The decant circle in question proposed to charge participants in such a way that the decanter would essentially receive the rare, collectible comic books for free.

We don't feel that is a fair distribution, obviously.

We have always felt and maintained that it is unfair to value a BPTP set (for example, an Inquisition which includes a t-shirt and an oil) in such a way that the oil is the only component of value. The same is true here, only it's far more difficult to determine how much the oil is worth vs the rare collectible comics, and much more money is at stake for the Strangers in Paradise / Parker Lily set. Further, we feel that to divide things that way defeats the purpose of this particular set. Parker Lily celebrates the Strangers in Paradise comics and the comics field in general, benefiting the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. To say that the oil is worth $500 and the comics worth nothing at all is to treat the comics as inconsequential.

We think that BPAL's contributions to the CBLDF are admirable and awesome. And because it is effectively impossible for us to determine a logical 'price cap' for the Parker Lily part of the set,

the Sin and Salvation mods have decided no decant circles for Parker Lily will be allowed here.

If people who've bought the set for themselves later choose to decant it and to sell decants in sinandsalvation, they will have to respect our existing price caps for limited-edition BPAL oils.
