Not my recipe and I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds soooo good!
Java chocolateshake
You need:
- a blender
- 1 espresso
- 90ml water
- 30grams chocolate
- 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream
Mix the coffee, water and chocolate until it is a smooth mix. Add the ice cream and stir!

I love coffee, no secret there. I am walking a thin line of being a caffein addict. I've been one, I've been in 'rehab' (no products with caffein whatsoever) and finally I found the balance. I only drink coffee in the mornings on weekdays. This seem to work. Because I drink less coffee now, I started to go for quality. I have a Jura automatic espresso machine and the coffee I buy is Espresso Indonesia from Simon Levelt, a specialty coffee/tea store.
Sometimes it's fun to experiment with it, and I would like to share a recipe. Most likely there will be more to follow.
Cappuccion/machiatto No Name
- heat some milk, whatever amount you like in your coffee
- add one tea spoon of (dark) brown sugar (real sugar, not heroin, but if you really want to you probably could ;-)
- add a pince of chili powder to the milk
- make milk foam the way you like it
- add an espresso
- sprinkle with cinnamon

P.S. This will probably also go really well with dark rum ;-) |

| Three months later |

Time flies. Three months ago the affected area in my cervix was removed. (see: http://users.livejournal.com/_shisha_/157134.html) Today I had the checkup. The doc said it healed really well, and you couldn't even tell I had some removed at all. It all looked good. If I don't hear anything in three weeks, then the pap smear is fine. Otherwise I get a call. I am confident that everything will be well. Another checkup in 6 months! |

I got the result back from the doc. It has been removed completely. In about three months I need to do a pap smear for checkup. The bit that was removed was examined again and it was a CIN3 after all. So I am very happy it is no longer in my body! |

Well the removal went smoothly. I didn't feel any pain at all. It can still bleed for some time, but hey as a woman I am used to that.
The entire procedure didn't last more than 15 minutes or something. I got a rapid heart beat from the local anesthetic, but that was supposed to happen. A small bit was removed, about 1 cm2 and a few mm thick. They wil examine it, to see what is was and to check if the rims are clean. To make sure everything was removed. January 8 I will get a call about that. |

It has been quiet here, as well as on livejournal as in real life.
I had some exciting times, which were hard to deal with. But ended up sort of positive anyway.
Once you turn 30 you enter in the national health check for cervical cancer (pap smear). It turned out the results were not too good (pap3a) so they decided to do another smear after 6 months. This one was a little better, but still not good (pap2).
Time for more research. One obgyn told me not to worry at all, the other one doing a colposcopy told me I probably had CIN3, which sometimes can mean a pre-stage for cervical cancer. You can imagine as this time I was not amused.
I had to wait for two weeks to finally get the end results. And they are a little bit better than expected. I have CIN2 and in a couple of days the affected area will be removed. (which is small)
This is still all very exciting and nreve wrecking, but at least it's better than expected.
Anyway, this is one of the reasons why I wasn't out there, didn't make any plans for xmas or new years or left at parties without saying goodbye. |

Eh, ik ga ze alleen niet meer gebruiken... Door een fijn vriendjesnetwerk kan ik een veeeeel beter apparaat goedkoper kopen. Dus ga ik dat doen. Maar het aanbod om een (nog lekkerder) kopje koffie te drinken staat natuurlijk wel!
