Annuncio con grande orgoglio che stasera TOTORO HA CATTURATO UN PIPISTRELLO.

Ha cominciato la (tarda) serata dimostrando di aver imparato ad associare la parola "doccia" all'evento "doccia" e alla successiva apertura della finestra del bagno, e già quello aveva causato un certo stupore. Ma non gli è bastato, e dopo una mezz'oretta è tornato tutto contento in soggiorno con una pallina nera che si dibatteva.
Con suo grande disappunto la nostra prima preoccupazione è stata quella di liberare il malcapitato, che fortunatamente è rimasto illeso, ma adesso sembra accontentarsi della valanga di complimenti.
Gli è adata bene che Totoro è stato separato troppo presto dalla madre e, una volta catturata la preda, non ha la più pallida idea su come continuare... ^_^;

No, non sono stata rapita dalle pecore mannare, è solo il rush di fine trimestre quando tutti i prof si accorgono all'improvviso di avere delle ore da recuperare e la già scarsa coerenza degli orari va a farsi benedire.
Davvero ottimo, considerando che oggi devo prendere il treno per tornare a casa e non sappiamo ancora dove/come/quando/di cosa/con chi abbiamo lezione dopo pranzo.

Mentre aggiornavo il mio account su Flickr con le foto dello zoo di Vincennes, ho fatto un po' di pseudo-ricerca sulla Wikipedia sugli animali che non ero riuscita a vedere.

Questo era sulla pagina sui lemuri catta:

When threatened, the Ring-tailed Lemur has been known to strike out with its short nails in a behavior termed 'jump fighting'. This action is extremely rare outside of the breeding season when tensions are high and competition for access to mates is intense. Only one attack on a human by a Ring-tailed Lemur has ever been documented in the United States. The event happened at the Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley, Minnesota after a small boy entered the Ring-tailed Lemur exhibit while on a school field trip and threw a pebble at the lemur. The boy was scratched and bitten, and taken to a hospital. The Ring-tailed Lemur that responded to the child's provocation was euthanized later that day.

Una cosa simile era accaduta qualche mese fa, quando dei drogati del @$^&@$ hanno continuato a disturbare una tigre facendo rumore e tirandole oggetti vari. Ci sono anche altri casi, magari solo con cani e altri "innocui" animali domestici, ma il livello di idiozia è più o meno quello.

Ma perchè diavolo si devono sempre punire dei poveri animali che, già costretti a vivere in cattività, si fanno anche maltrattare da decerebrati che sarebbero dovuti essere annegati alla nascita, senza nemmeno il sacrosanto diritto di difendersi?
Sarebbe come andare a insultare e prendere a sassate un passante e poi lamentarsi perchè si scoccia e ti tira giustamente un cazzotto.
