I love these Happy Spring Days :), the sun, the weather and the long days, perfect to try new crafts or work without having to turn on every light I have in the studio.

I've been working as always, I forgot to write an Easter Post, so Happy Easter! to all of you, I hope your dinner was a yummy as mine, we ate potato salad with ham, it was so good that they didn't let me take a picture, everyone was super hungry.



Spring inspires everyone, I've been admiring wonderful photos on flickr, other thing to get all exited about are the new fabric collections from my favorite designers :) can't wait to see them at stores even if it means that I have to drop a pile of cash $_$

You may notice the green cute above, I carved it with an eraser, I don't want to waste my carving blocks so I've been practicing, I carved a nice heart for detail, carving is very addictive, I haven't done it in the last 3 days and I am dying to make another stamp.



I like this photo very much except for the light that wasn't very clear and white as always, This is what I feel doing every time i go to the post office, drop a card and a crocheted circle with a pin to a special friend just to say hello and wish her a nice day :), I've been playing with crocheted laces and circles, I with show them as soon as I take some pictures .

I just had to share this wonderful - Shinzi Katoh - Postcard with you, My friend LiLi always sends me the cutest postcards, Thanks a Bunch another one for my collection, One day I hope to frame them, they make excellent pieces of zakka art.


I love this bunny, don't you? this is another sweet surprise I recently got in the mail, a kawaii bunny that came to say hello from Taiwan, Thanks Joyce! he brought me the sweetest Hello kitty candy in apple,peach,orange and other yummy fruits.


And finally let me show you these cute birdies that Maartje sent me, the flu all the way from the Netherlands along with a cute Russian doll fabric and other crafty goodies, I have more photos of her prepackage in my flickr if you are curious :)

Hi!

The day is sunny and warm over here, it's a good thing because It's been quite cold and I was starting to fell a little sick, but the Spring sun brings a smile to my face and makes me feel better.



Like I mentioned in my precious email I had lots of things to show you, one of those things are my first handmade stamps!!! Yes I was brave enough to give it a try, thanks to my dear Friend LiLi that inspired me to try it after seeing her cute creations. And I came up with these a envelope mail stamp a spring leaf and a WIP mushie that I am going to show you later.



Not bad for my first try right? I am very satisfied with these and I have many more on the works right now, I also need to get the proper tools, carving blocks and ink pads because I carved these on erasers I had on my desk, is a really cool feeling and I want to try and make some with real carving rubber.

Passing to other goodies, I will continue to post all the swap parcels I've received over the past month :), I've been reading many emails asking for the photos and finally here are some of them, I hope you like them as much as I did.



These are the wonderful fabrics I got form my private swap with Jen ^_^, she's great and she sent me the cutest card :), Thanks Jen I really enjoyed our swap, can't wait to swap again!


ohh and How I wish this little Sewing Machine was real :), it would look great real size don't you think? I finally have this cute machine after a year of searching and asking for it everywhere, I made a Private swap with Shi form Brazil, they had it over there and she was kind enough to send me one along with the cutest HK candies and goodies.



Like for example this little Hello Kitty :) she's a cutie and that apple is so practical, I wish I had more for the craft studio to organize little things while working. Thanks for everything Shi ~ THANKS A BUNCH!

Pineapple Hello Kitty Says Bye Bye!

Happy St. Patric's Day!

I can't believe it's been a month since my last post, time goes fast and I thought I had to make some time to post because then it gets super hard to catch up again :), I also felt kinda guilty of not posting all the wonderful swaps I've been receiving in the past weeks :), so If you sent me something, don't worry I will post it soon.

The reason for my absence is simple, I had to concentrate on what I've been doing, It's very hard for me to focus on one thing lately, my attention span is getting worse and worse in the lat years, so in order to try and finish what I've started I had to keep myself away from my emails,Journal and Flick, I must admit that is hard and I really miss you, but I had to to what I had to do and It's been working :)



Well like a mentioned earlier, Ive been getting the coolest parcels! sadly US customs tend to take a peek on my International swaps and they always mess my pretty wrapped parcels :(

They don't take the time to close it again, most of the time the boxes are in pieces with the goodies falling out and It's hard to say if It's missing something X_X



In other swap news, I got these wonderful goodies in the Fat Quarter Fabric Swap for the month of February, this is the best parcel I've got form that group, lots of wonderful extras!


And look at the wonderful fabrics :), my partner Karen did a wonderful job choosing them and putting together this wonderful parcel!



Take a peek inside the kawaii organizer, is so cute, she sent me a purple pen and everything :), her sewing skills are wonderful and the fabric is so sweet and soft, you can check more of her goodies at her Etsy Store Here



This is a peek of what I sent to my March FQ Swap Partner :), she's just starting quilting,so I hope she finds them useful, I added some of my red-white twine I wrapped over a wooden spool, these twines are a must on a sewing parcel.




I also sent her some nice teas, that strawberry mango is so yummy and aromatic, I am a coffee person but I've been sampling lots of teas lately :)my favorites are the fruity sweet ones a very nice alternative from coffee.

Well I still have lots to tell you but to make it all short I'm going to say that I've been drawing,designing,reading,cutting,carving,writing over the past month and It's all about Paper and Coffee, well a - Paper Cafe - to be exact :), but I will tell you more and Show you something later.

How's your Monday going ?

Mine started a little lazy, it's cold and It's hard to get out of bed, lucky enough we had some Hot Mexican Chocolate from last night, so that game me a little more energy :)

I am still a little sleepy because I stayed up all night looking at my photo Archive C_C there's a lot to be done and tons of photos to post, I am trying to organize all my files because it's hard to work when you have a mess and I've been procrastinating on that for some time.

Now let me post some White, Pinks and Reds ^_^, I've been looking at these colors everywhere and I can help myself to be inspired.


Here's my ♥ Valentine Fabric Stash ♥ lots and lots of hearts in white, pink and red, too cute! some of these fabrics are from last year and I got 2 new ones this year, I want to make plushy hearts, can't wait.



I just love Gingham Fabric, as soon as cut a small piece of it to make a YoYo I saw a little mushie friend telling me; .... make me .... Make ME!!! and I did, just look at him :) perfect for valentine charms , I am gonna make him some friends because he's all alone right now.




Here's my - Crafty Mushie WorkStation - I've been thinking of doing these mushie items for so long, I have them all in my sketchbook waiting to be done, but sadly I hardly find time to make my ideas, Sometimes I feel very bad because I am dying to make new stuff, I have old projects from 3 years ago that I'm still thinking about, that's why I'm organizing everything, maybe if I have everything in the right place it won't be so difficult to start crafting in the middle of the night :) this remind me that i need to get me some new lamps because the desk lamp I have sucks and makes my eyes hurt.


A sample of my - Stamp Collection - I love vintage used stamps, those are the best, here you will find some from Rome,Denmark and Austria :), I will keep posting more of these, they are a treat to look at!

It's cold and It's been raining over here :), I like it when it rains, the cold air reminds me of the beach, the bad thing is that's hard to take any pictures around here, because I don't have enough light, I hope the sun comes out tomorrow morning because i don't want my paper toy photos to be all gloomy 0_0

Well I didn't had the chance to pot yesterday because of the horrible traffic I was stuck in line for 3 hours at the border, it was terrible and then when I manage to get to the post office I saw another huge line and no parking, Willy had to leave me there, I made an whole hour in line just to send 3 parcels.

The good thing is that I picked up some really nice mail, I ordered some new books from amazon and they are really great! :) I also got some of these goodies.



Pocky Sticks are definitely on my favorite Jap Snack list , I hate it when they brake inside the packaging but they're so good that forget about all those little flaws as soon as i taste them :)
Of all the types of Pocky's that are in the market, I really liked this one - Pocky Crush - It reminds me of the Mexican candy - Kranky - by Ricolino , nice chocolate with a yummy crunch to munch! lol
Scalett Willy and I finished this pack right away :) It's so good!



I'm always drooling at online fabrics shops that carry Japanese fabric, like Superbuzzy or reprodepot, there's something about those prints that gets me all exited but when the cute design combine my favorite colors and mushrooms sometimes the temptation is too hard to resist. The sad thing about it is that a FQ is never enough.


I was doing some embroidery the other day and I noticed that I had a mess in my floss box, so I got me these plastic bobbins and I stated organizing my floss, It stated to look decent and cute, it is a tedious job but the result is very inspiring.
I will take more photos of my floss collection later, maybe you can give me a hand lol

Well the sun is up again, it comes and goes, I better hurry and take my pictures right now

Wow it's cold over here, or maybe it's just me :), I woke up really early (4:30 am) to take Willy to the airport, he's going to the KDE conference at google , I'm still kind of sleepy and grateful that I'm gong to pick him up at 8 pm in a few days :).

ohh and I received my January Fat Quarter Swap the other day!! just look at these fabrics --->


I really liked this one, I had a generous partner, she also sent me lots of extras chocolate and tea :) I have more photos at My Flickr


Clarice surprised me with these wonderful stickers :) and some super cool double sided tape, I use it to make a paper toy yesterday and it rocks, I will need to find more of that tape later because something tells me that I'm going to run out of it soon.


I just love the aesthetic of the Zakka designer Shinzi Katoh I only have a this cup and the postcard Lili sent me, his fabric design is really something, so wonderful, I hope to keep collecting more of these wonderful items.


I had to post this wonderful Christmas gift, my friend Lili really knows me and pamper me all the time, she sent me a Decolello air freshener from Decole, the postcard and some cute plushies she made.
Scarlett took the plushies to her room :) her favorite if the bunny but she loves pigs also, Thank You My Friend.


I feel that I need to post more about my projects, I know that most of the time I post photos of swaps and parcels but that's because they really deserve a nice photo and a thank you :) maybe I need to write more often, so I can have space to show you the crafts I've made.

I've been experimenting with crochet again, I found a really nice brown cotton yarn and a smooth bamboo crochet hook :) let's see what happens.

Well I'm off to eat something, I need my coffee today

This little dolly says Hello!

She's been keeping me company these days, cleaning,taking photos and arranging everything, I had a very fun Holiday Rest but as a result the house, computer and craft room is still a mess, I have to store the Christmas goodies for next year and take our the Valentine stuff for the upcoming month.
You may ask yourself were did I found such lovely company? well I received her in a very special envelope from Kat :) I adore her and I had to keep her, thanks Kat, I also loved your pretty HK card!

I've also received many other great gifts ^_^ from you guys, I had to take lots of photos and I'm still not done with everything want to see more?



Diana sent me a square of this pretty Jap. Fabric along with an ornament she made and other fabric :), Thanks a bunch this fabric is adorable!



My friend Saki sent me lots of goodies for me and Scarlett, but the Wee Micro Plush Ninja is one of my favorites, he's so darn cute, I will have to keep him in his black bag , because I don't want him to get dirty. Thanks SAKI :)

I'm feeling sleepy today, must be because I've been running like crazy trying to get everything ready for Christmas, I made some final purchases online yesterday and had to paid extra for shipping $_$, so they can be on time, fingers crossed !

Posting Yesterday was impossible, my internet was acting weird until this morning so uploading images was a pain.
But enough of that, :) I wanted to show you what I did over the weekend.


I played with these lovely papers :), cutting,wrapping,folding and even sewing them to pack the ornaments I sent,these beauties are form the Martha Stewart Crafts line, Aren't they cute?


I prepared this Birthday-Christmas present for a very CRAFTY girl :) I didn't had the chance to send her something for her Birthday so I wanted to make it double this time, no, I'm not telling who because it's a surprise! I hope she gets it soon.


And these two cute FQ's are flying all the way to CANADA, along with a Christmas Card, another crafty surprise for a nice patient girl.




I did a lot of packing and these Holiday Deco-Tapes helped me to decorate envelopes and parcels, Love the Bells and the Holiday Greetings ^_^


How much did I pack? well see for yourself, I ship them out last Friday and clumsy me forgot to add some small letters and parcels I had in my outbox drawer X_X, so I need to make another trip to the post office.

I am almost done with all my Holiday errands, I only need to worry about Christmas Dinner and sending the last batch of snail mail :) Can't wait to stay home and relax a bit.

I need to get something to eat, I've been up early and I need something warm to calm my stomach, a tea or coffee, I've been munching these chocolate mint cookies I have over my desk but they don't make the trick lol, So this is a quick post and then I'm off to eat something.

These are some of the goodies I will send to Mette on Friday, I hope she enjoys them as much as I loved the Danish Delight she send me :).
I wanted to ship my pending parcels today but something came out and I haven't finished packing yet, so I hope I can get things done by Friday :)


I can't describe the goodies, because I want to surprise her, but I think this is a nice teaser.



Here is a detail of the fabrics I sent, she loves Zakka inspired fabrics and trims and I'm, sure she will love this stash.



The other day I was looking at my previous posts and I noticed that I haven't posted any - Kawaii Goodness- in a while, so here's a photo of some - Cram Cream - Deco-Tapes, LiLi send them to me a few months ago , they're so cute, I specially love the one with the kawaii giraffe.

I hope you had fun and had some time to make that cute Santa I showed you. My weekend was nice because we finally got your X-mas tree and some colorful ornaments we found at Target, I also got me lots of Fabrics, Ribbons, Yarns and Pretty Paper for my Christmas Crafts and Gifts.

I plan to ship almost all of my International Parcels on Wednesday, so I must hurry to get it all done on time.


I found this cute gingerbread house fabric :), you know I'm obsessed with gingerbread men and cookies, the rest of the fabrics in the photo are from my Holiday Stash :), I took them form the storage bin, refold them and now they're displayed in my craft table.


I also found these ones! they're so soft, love their texture and colors, I have a project planned for these, can't wait to get started.



Maybe you've seen these ones already, if not here are the - Holiday Knits - stamps, I love this set specially the deer and the bear, I have to pick up another booklet on my next trip to the post office , because I know these are going to end up on my International packs.




An have you seen the December issue of Blue Print? , it's so inspiring, they have precious Christmas ideas and decorations but my favorite article is the one with Amy and David Butler :) I have photos of this at My Flickr

Hi, how is your Monday??
I hope fine, I'm really sick since yesterday I have a horrible fever and can't stop sneezing , lol I'm super dizzy and mad because it sucks having this flu-cold with this hot heather X_X I want some ice cram and my throat hurts like hell.

Well passing to more happy stuff lol
I was taking pictures of the new goodies I got in the mail when my battery died so I decided to show you these goodies instead.

Fabrics and Craft Books, Can't have enough of them, My favorites are definitely Japanese


I was drooling for this fabric for some time and I finally got me some from Reprodepot, I think this fabric is perfect for a pin cushion and a needle book, what would you make with these?


I got these precious ribbons at Michael's, too mad they only had these left, because they're fun and cute. I have to share these with Scarlett because she's going to make a project with these :)

I used to look at this book at ebay and I always thought it was a really beautiful book, but now that I have it, I think is so much more than pretty pictures, it's practical and very inspiring, the instructions are simple and the projects irresistible, can't wait to try all those embroidery with wool felt techniques :)



Just look at these :), I have to buy me more linen , I want to make pretty bags ans decorate them with these pretty flowers ^_^


And what can I say about these kawaii animals, I think they would look great in linen patches or embroidered in Scarlett's Jacket or on a patchwork linen pillow.

I finally took some pictures of the snail mail goodies I recently received :), ready for some eye candy?


This is the super kawaii parcel I got from Shiyu :) , we made a private swap of fabrics, kawaii stationery and other goodies, She got me the Q-lia letter sets I wanted for my collection, I haven't showed you the photos yet but it's huge :), She also sent me the cutest Japanese fabric but I'm saving those photos for later :) I have more pictures of these swaps at My Flickr, Thanks a Bunch Shiyu ^_^

I made these buttons to include in swaps and as promos for the Comic-Con, I want to send them to Xenia aka textdrivebys along with other goodies, I better hurry because I'm a little behind on these, I may have to ship them priority ASAP.

I was busy working with promos that I forgot to post these goodies on Monday, I've been packing like crazy because tomorrow I need to ship lots of pending packages :) witch makes me happy because I won't feel pleasured and I can work with what's next in my list,the only inconvenience is that I'm all out of customs forms X_X and I need to ship like 6 Airmail parcels, I have to remind myself to order more from the USPS store.

Las week I put together these lovely blue goodie bags, these are going to my - Lucky Parcel- Swap Partners, the theme for this month is blue ^_^ and as you can see many of the items are Turquoise my favorite kind of blue!



I sewed these blue tulle bags to hold everything in place and I used some of that blue polka dot fabric I showed you before to make lovely strawberry pincushions to use as decorations :).


There's a lot of crafty supplies in this parcels, ribbon,bias tape,fabrics,pom poms,rick rack and other goodies.


I made the cute gift tags form a pattern I printed using the same opaline paper I use for my paper toys.

I hope my partners like them :), i love small swaps like these because you get a little it of everything, I think the theme for next month is Black and White so if you want to sign don't forget to visit the Lucky Parcel Swap Flickr Group



And last but not least here are some other fabrics I got the other day, this print is fun, delicate with nice smooth colors and details, I really like it :) more detailed pictures of this fabric at my flickr :)

Happy 4th of July ^_^

I hope the weather Isn't too hot were you live so you can enjoy a nice BBQ :), this is just a quick post to show you the goodies I mentioned in my previous post.

My hands are sore :(, I was making buttons for some promos I need to ship and my fingers started hurting a lot, I have copper allergy (among other metal allergies)and it sucks because the brooches of the pins are made with this material so I always have to suffer when I make them lol, It's ok because I love making buttons, but this time my hands got all red and it hurt a lot :( don't know why this time was much worse than the others, Anyway

Ohh and this bag is functioning as my provisional camera case lol it's the perfect size made of soft canvas fabric:) I got it in the - Bag of Treats Swap-


My partner for the CRAFT Matchbox Swap send me the coolest materials, I really liked the cherry and polka dot fabric, she made the card herself :), Thanks a Bunch for all the goodies.

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend, over here it was Hot- Hot but we manage to cool us down with lots of ice cream, the pool and water balloons :) so it was fun.

I'm happy because I got the most wonderful snail mail on Friday, I Received my Kawaii Matchbox Swap and my Craft Matchbox Swap, love those two a lot and the lovely Mug I ordered arrived! Can't wait to show you the lovely pics.

In other news, I ordered more fabric form the distributor again ^_^ I couldn't resist I got this wonderful catalog with the new fabrics and they were all so beautiful that I had to get some, can't wait to them to arrive.

And speaking of nice fabrics here are some pictures of the bolts I got, I had to cut pieces for myself before they're all gone. :) I'm using the small polka dot blue one to make some pincushion surprises for the - Lucky Parcels Swap-


Ohh and I love this one, they had it on blue but It all sold out, I placed a pre-order so I hope they re-stock on the blue one soon, I was so luck to grab the red bolt :).


I love fruity fabric , this one reminds me of a nice spring- summer picnic :) so Yummy! I would love to make an apron or some place mats with it.


I got these FQ at Joann's, I saw this same fabric at Flickr but in Pink, I searched for it but I only found this blue one, too bad they only had 2 FQ :( and they don't sell it by the yard, and I wanted a whole yard, I love the Leafy Plant Print.


And Finally some Kawaii eye candy :) I received this from Xandra all they way form The Netherlands she sold them to me, Thanks a bunch this sticker sack is really hard to find it's from Q-lia form their Smile Pocket line a super special addition to my Kawaii Collection. Hi! how are you?, I hope you're doing fine, I've been working on pending things, procrastinating on the urgent ones X_X , playing with Scarlett and eating to much ice ream, because it's been hotter than usual around here.

I'm also trying to organize all my pictures because they always end up in a mess and the library has grown to a size that I get lost between folders X_X so I need a better system to access everything easily.



Anyway, I haven't finished the motorcycle bag, I need some special metal buttons that I can't find anywhere, I hate it when things like this happen because I don't like to leave unfinished projects, so here are some pictures of a embroidered pouch and some lovely felt flowers I made with Scarltett like 2 years ago.




I just love this embroidery floss, the colors and the way they fade in a single line :), I don't know why i never got to show these pictures, I really love my funky star, if you want to see a wider view of the pouch and the embroidered star look at my flickr Here


Have you seen the new Pirate HK line? ohh It's adorable, I've looked for it at my local Sanrio store but they don't have it, so I had to swap with Moofin from flickr these cute stuff along with fabrics and other stationery she sent.I want to get me the HK Pirate plush, It's so darn cute.


And finally these are some of the fabrics I got the other day, I'm guessing they would look great on a small pincushion or as small squares on a patchwork pouch.

What a crazy weekend it was :), but I still had fun after all, I went fabric shopping and received some really great canvas samples from my vendor, ohh I'm so crazy for fabric, I tend to have these fabric urges lol, looking and touching fabric is very inspiring.




I was so Inspired by the lovely colors of this fabric that I made a pin cushion and loved how it turned out, I made two , one for the bag of treats and one for me, ohh and I must tell you that I have a new obsession, I love these quilting pins with cute heads, too bad I can't find them here, I was lucky enough to find those heart shape ones at Joann's the other day and my friend Barbara send me a sampler of her collection in a swap we made.

I finally used a piece of my wonderful Decole fabric , I didn't want to cut it , but I really like how the bag turned out. I want to make more bags and a pouch.


ohh and I got these cuties in the mail 2 weeks ago, these are my favorite kind of memos -Die Cut- big or small I love them!
They're from KAMIO Japan and from the :: Pop'n Friends Line:: I think they have some left here at Kawaii Corner they sell so fast.
I also got me a die cut panda memo pad but I'm going to post that later.

Well I thinks that's enough eye candy for today :), Have to clean my desk the craft table and the threads and scraps of fabric that are stuck in the carpet. X_X

Today seems to be cooler than Yesterday and that's great news for me, because I hate sewing when It's hot I always get all sweetie eww, I was sewing late at night and I'm almost done with the motorcycle bag, and let me say it's coming along great, Now I'm sewing the inner pockets and the straps and then star cutting the other bag, they're cute big and heavy and my arms hurt a bit for lifting it. I also made a precious pin cushion for the ::: Bag of Treats :: Swap I'm preparing, photos of that one soon ;).

Anyway here is what I'm sending to the :CRAFT Matchbox Swap: the theme for this month is - Fruity Craft Supplies-, as soon as I read the theme title i knew I had to join in because I love fruits.



I love apples and I couldn't pass out the opportunity to decorate the matchbox with juicy colorful apples :), this time I didn't paint the box just cover it with a pattern I printed.



Fabrics, ribbon, trims,beads,buttons,embroidery floss, a strawberry pincushion and other embellishments are in this little pack , I hope my partner likes it. I had lots of fun putting all these items together.


This is another pack I sent to moofin from flickr, this is just a peak because I added more things to the swap.

Today I'm gonna try and finish the motorcycle bag and another small bag I'm doing for a the Bag of treats swap :), I already cut the pieces form one of my favorite Japanese fabrics :), it's going to look so pretty. Well take Care and Enjoy the weather!

I got lots of pictures to show you but as always I've been lazy lol, yesterday I took pictures of all the swaps I've received and now it's time to give my swap partners proper thanks!



First let me tell you that I adore this bag, the fabric the shape everything, it's perfect I can filled it up with letters and envelopes without looking bloated lol and the best part is that's reversible ! It has red fabric on the inside, I'm so happy with it, this is my favorite item form the private swap I did with - Craftsty -form flickr


These are the rest of the goodies ^_^, lots of yummy Japanese candy ( all the boxes are empty now X_X ),Lovely fabrics and buttons, HK deco-tape and my second favorite the Little House Stationery that resembles Decole illustrations :)



oh!! and Scarlett loved this guy over here, Craftsty made it :) she makes super cool goodies with felt,I've always wanted to try needle felting myself but I always forget to buy the stuff I need, there's something nice about the wool, it looks like cotton candy, makes me want to eat it lol.

And this is the little box I got from Brittney Bush from the :: Kawaii Matchbox Swap :: the theme was "Things with wings", love the ladybug ribbon and the candy she sent but Scarlett again ate most of them.
