This is the costume that I will be debuting this Friday at Blizzcon!

The wig had to be re-done at the last second, because the commissioner sent me...well, a pile of crap. So, that wig? Yeah. Done in the last three days. Had to redo the horns and the tentacles, and half of the bangs. Not what I planned on spending the weekend on.

And yeah, walking on uneven terrain on those stilts? I'm surprised I didn't break an ankle. XDD How I love flat, steady ground.

So, I've been working on a costume for months now and not talking at all about it because I was so worried about the progress. But tonight, I'm unveiling the progress. After months of welding, sanding, re-welding, airbrushing, gluing, carving, all that jazz, the Draenei costume is getting close to pulling together.

So, behind the cut are pictures of me in the almost finished stilts- all they need is some padding on the bottom, hooves, and me learning how to walk in them properly. In some pictures I threw on the gloves, shirt, and belt to show them as they are- headpiece is still in the works, as are pants (though the pants will likely be solid black).

Please excuse my messy look and any weird faces I happen to be making; I was concentrating on not falling and breaking an ankle. Getting used to a whole new height and center of gravity isn't easy! XD Also, don't mind the cats and dogs. They insisted on being in EVERY SINGLE PICTURE somehow. (The cats are Aggro, Krasus, and Pocket Onyxia. The black and white dog is Kujo. I don't think the Saint Bernard, Vash the Stampede, snuck into any pics though.)

Lots of pics behind the cut. Don't mind the dust bunnies made of fur, when you have a Saint Bernard even daily sweeping doesn't stop the fur tumbleweeds from forming. :P

Obviously, there's a lot more to it then that. I have blue body paint, white contacts (except for the pupil, I can't be blind AND on stilts), and a wig with horns. I have two weeks till I leave for Blizzcon, and I'm entered in the costume contest there. Any feedback is welcome, though this is a very rough draft (every inch of these stilts will be covered).

Lots of work left to do. @_@ I might go insane.

So, I've decided to start taking college classes at Ball State University again this spring. If I'm the oldest person in my classes, I'll cry.

Why did a bunch of people from, like...Chicago, India, South America...and a bunch of other places all view my journal today? O_o

So, my computer imploded, right?

My dad showed up at my house yesterday with a 27 inch IMac desktop to replace it! He got a discount because it was a display, but it's a MONSTER. World of Warcraft will never be the same again!

Weeeee!

I got a brand new shiny graphics card for my computer, my dad helped me install it, and I booted up to see the shiny- and it didn't work. Computer never got to desktop. So dad took it in to his IT guy, come to find out that my power supply was insufficient to power both the motherboard and the awesome graphics card. So, my motherboard might be fried, along with all the stuff that was on my desktop.

Dad said he'd look into Alienware for me, as we've heard it's really good for gaming, so maybe something good will come out of my computer going POOF.

In the meantime, I shall stay on my wonderful Mac laptop.
