 Hey kids.  S1 grades are up.

According the the York website, the last date to drop an SU term course without receiving a grade was July 7th. I was just wondering if there is any way to get around this by maybe receiving permission from the professor or course director? The reason I'm asking this is because I am really struggling with a course and at this point, the best I can realistically hope to get is a D+ since there is only a 10% assignment left. This course is a 4000 level and is very important for my major, which is why I can't have such a low mark showing on my transcript.

Does anybody have any previous experience dealing with something similar?

York's board games club seems to have folded.

I think this sucks. Anyone wanna start a new one? (Nothing too heavy. I'm thinking Scrabble once a week or something like that, maybe do an "all-day games" thing once every few months. Whatever.)

According to the rules, you need two "officers" and 15 interested students to start a club. If your registration is successful, you can then use the bulletin boards, book space for free, and all the other good stuff. At this point I'm just trying to sound out interest, though. (And it's free, so if it flops, no problem.)

 So, I was trying to switch my 1st year Huma. course to Education and Social change which is a Sosc, but the program said the spaces were reserved and that I should contact the department on further information about getting permission.

 So who should I contact within the Sosc department? Thanks!

Quick query :
I have a few classes in my schedule / timebable that ARE NOT CONFLICTING but the sqaure as stuck together aka my class finishes at "2:30" and I have another one or a tutorial starting at "2:30".

Is there a break, do the teachers let you go 10 or 15  minutes before the end of the period, or do we run for the full 180 minutes for example and then materialise into the next 120 minute course instantaneously?

I know at my old university I had like 15 -20 minutes to waddle around in between close courses so I could actulay take a pee.

If you're a non-major, are PKIN classes worth it? (Yes, you don't get credit, but is it fun? Do they expect a certain level of expertise coming in?)

How tightly do grades follow percentages? I'm starting to freak out for reasons best kept to myself, but then I got to thinking, and I realized that earlier this year I got a B+ for a course where my final mark couldn't have been much higher than 65%.

Is that an anomaly? Is this common? The courses I'm freaking out over are first-year NATS and Foundations courses.

 I am an Atkinson student planning to graduate in October.  Are there grad photo sessions being held at York in the summer?

Does anyone happen to have an idea when the exam schedule for S2 and SU summer courses will be released? I'm trying to plan a trip for August and getting a bit antsy about dates. :P Thank you!
