Ok, so some LAME people who are jealous of natsukigirl posted crap on the genvid forum. Genvid sucks too hard to let random visitors see their forums, so I posted this here since natsuki said she couldn't see it ..:
here's the post: http://www.prettyguardiansailormoon.com/viewtopic.php?t=4109
apparently some flamer send "rebochan" flames over the fact she mentioned you in her site, so I guess that's also what she talks about in her post. But most of these people lose me.

I hate to only post when it's about my freaking website...seeing how I haven't updated in a year due to lack of time/interest. But assuming anyone here remembers me and good ol' SMULC anymore...
Remember how one of my last updates added a bunch of material off of Natsuki Lynn's "Sweet Usagi" site? Well, she found it and wrote me a rather length complaint e-mail with some odd criticisms. Okay, fine, I figured I'd be civil...until the next response was an outright flame from another visitor - along with a link to Natsuki Lynn's livejournal where she posted both the letter and some nice flame-baiting.
Well, since Natsuki Lynn is only pretending to be civil (probably for sympathy), then I feel no need to keep this a secret. Haven't come up with a good response to her yet that isn't incredibly immature/egotistical anyway...

Enjoy. And yea, this is wayyyy off-topic...and I swear I'm really not dead...I'm still alive and pining for the fjords...

1. Rebochan!! ::hugs::
2. She thinks you have a big ego Rebochan? When she won't take down WRONG info from her site because she is so obsessed with the Idea that she is right and never can be wrong... thats laughable! I don't like the fact that her friends are calling you names either. She also doesn't seem to accept the ideas that she isn't the only one who can do research... mind you if it was her site that someone discovered some obscure etymology information on it is only fair to credit her, same should be said of anyone elses website.

Ah, that Lynn again. I've debunked her "Death Ribbon Revolution" nonsense so many times that I've realized that she has a Wall of Ignorance that just doesn't want to come down.
quote:
"I never said it was literal, and no where on my website does it say that the name is "RIBBON" It simply explains that yes, it was INDEED a PURPOSEFUL pun."
Well, I would say that Rebo's wording probably wasn't the best, but Lynn's site still says "I'll forever and always call it Death Ribbon Revolution (and this is acceptable because it is one of the two pun meaning for the attack)." The problem is that although the manuever does in fact involve ribbons in the manga, and a pun was reasonably intended, Lynn has failed to show that the entire phrase "デス・リボン・レボリューション" appears in the manga with "デス・リボーン・レボリューション." If Lynn wants to lay any claims to honesty, unless and until Lynn can find "デス・リボン・レボリューション" in the manga, Lynn will have to concede that "Death Ribbon Revolution" is not just as right when it comes to the manga. As of now, Lynn can say that "デス・リボン・レボリューション" does appear on some .
Lynn's basic reasoning is "If a term N is something literal, but similar term Q is a pun (but not written the same way as term N or not pronounced the same way as term N or both of those), then both term N and term Q are just as acceptable." However, let us apply that reasoning to "月野うさぎ" and "月の兎." Usagi's full name in Japanese is "月野うさぎ," which is a pun on "月の兎," but the name and the phrase aren't spelled the same way. Going by Lynn's reasoning, we have to conclude that both "月野うさぎ" and "月の兎" are both acceptable as Usagi's name.
quote:
"Actually, I'm curious: My site is well respected for top notch info (aside from one error [the lav error]"
The whole "異次元, Uncommon Dimension" thing on Lynn's site is full of nonsense. Why the hell would anyone refer to the fourth dimension of space-time (which is time) as the "uncommon dimension" when in fact it is not uncommon? Time, as the fourth dimension of space-time, is so common that it has been with all of us since the days we were born. Of course, she could argue that "異次元" refers to the fourth macroscopic spatial dimension, which really is uncommon, but that would ruin her time-manipulation theories for the Death Busters. Let us just go with how the Japanese usually use the phrase: "" or (more commonly in English) "another dimension."
Her "She likes to be called Rabi~en~Rose (a pun on the French 'La Bien Rose' [the good/nice rose]" is nonsense, too. It is much more likely that the name derived from "la vie en rose" (which is a phrase that makes sense).
quote:
"But, next time you go to "bash" me, think about the dozens of good things I have contibuted to the community."
Yeah, like "double pun," "uncommon dimension," and "La Bien Rose."
quote:
"I had a talk with Ian about this a while back, and he even agreed (at the time) that it was bad form (but of course, not in those exact words)."
I did agree to remove the quoted stuff from my site.
quote:
"I officially blame the cattiness on several egos."
I think that Lynn's ego should be included.
quote:
"For example... Ian Miller still has a strangely warm place in my e-heart."
I really don't see why.
quote:
"people should get the facts before talking trash."
That's good advice.
quote:
"which, by the way, is what she is"
But that wasn't necessary.

LOL
Look, most people on the internet live only for their internet egos. The proper response isn't to stroke it by getting angry back or wasting time by crafting an argument which- as an internet argument- doesn't count for jack shit anyway.
The proper response is to send them something back which is just as stupid as what they sent you.

Is that the official Genvid motto, Jay?

As tempting as it is, I really don't like to sink to the same level as another flamer. I like to take the high road...
...but if you send me a flame, especially in my guestbook or another public place, then yes I'll post it.
Strangely, I once wrote a rather reasoned response to the first flame I ever got related to SMULC (over, surprise, Haruka and Michiri's relationship!) expecting to get nothing back. The girl actually wrote back and apologized - hence why SMULC's first flame was not posted.

It's not sinking to their level. You don't seem to understand what I mean by sending them something stupid so I don't think you've ever seen any of my reply threads.

That's one of the reasons I don't want to get one of those things.
I find the "Ian Miller still has a strangely warm place in my e-heart" part hilarious.

If you tell me how to say "Ian Miller has a strangely warm place in my e-heart" in Latin I'll put it in my sig...

I'm glad I never flamed you! I actually have a flames page all set and coded for SMULC with both the flames from this and some past flames I've gotten, but I don't think I have a wit quite as sharp as yours.

Hm, I think "Ianus Miller adhuc mirabiliter tepidum locum in meo corde interretiali habet" would work.

For some reason, I was thinking of just "heart" rather than "e-heart." I fixed the Latin sentence.
I would try to post there, but stupid genvid is not letting me log in .. so screw it.
sorry, natsukigirl, but I just wanted to let you know I LOVE all of your sites and that also I support you! =D
genvid sucks balls anyways, and that antie guy gets on my nerves .. he likes to quote the crap out of everyone, doesn't he?
