Just a quick little thing I wrote. I'm not totally sure where it came from. I'd love some serious critique on it. I was trying to have the mood of the piece change half way through. As in, it starts out in one direction and then it moves into another. Not sure if it totally worked.

And it's not really my "baby" so feel free to rip to shreds =).

Summary: Our story is long, our success remembered in our town, our achievement immortalized in trophies. But how many people really know of the 1996 Old Harbor Elks? How many know of the pain, and suffering? The fear, and rage? Of the love, and hate of a hockey team? We were famous once, for a moment, for a couple years in our home town, so what happened? Where did the glory go? Where’s the team? Who were we? Who are we now? All that I can really say for sure is that we are the Old Harbor Elks, and that this is our story, the story of our team; of glory.

Rain is the symbol of change for my life. The defining moments of my life have always occurred when it rained. It rained the night my mother left my father. It rained the morning that my grandfather died. Now, the distant thunder and the smell on the wind threatened that my life was going to change, yet again.
