hey there! i'm in cambridge! its so cool, but it feels so deserted right now b/c like everyone is busy taking the sat diagnosic test. the classes i take are communications studies in the morning for college credit and entrepreneurship in the afternoon. my comm tutor (prof) is a nutcase who hates america, has a huge ego, and thinks everyone should do drugs instead of alcohol and that we should eat pot. we just had a business competition b4 london, and my group was called xtc and i came up with the slogan 'get the feeling' and we offered massages and candy. my roomates are from miami and laguna beach, and they are both awesome! its so crazy, cuz none of the people i alwayus hang out with live closeby. i have friends from kuwait city, puerto rico, parts of asia, france, italy.......cambridge is awesome! theres lots to do and a pretty river with pretty punting boys. they always ask us to go puinting, so thats kinda annoying. crew is really fun, and on tuesday a girl fell out of the boat! its this tub thats supposed to be noncollapsble and is for learning, so to show us that you are safe they make u do all sorts of stuff in it like jump up and down, and she did that and fell out :-O i also went grass snowboarding, even though it wasnt grass, it was kinda like what u scrub stuff with in ur kitchen. when u fall it feels like a porcupine, and all of us snowboarders fell cuz it was so weird to board on! this guy and i were gonna go down the mountain at the same time and i was better than him so he goes, i cant go after her! ill eat shit! girl power! hahahahah. and then the first time we went to the teen club, a bunch of us were in the circle and this boy gets in to do the crip walk but he is doing it like so slow, so then i go in and go super fast and totally school him and everyone was just like pointing at my feet like woah. yeahhh girl power again! and we totally sang spice girls while walking over the tower bridge in ldon.
we went to london on thursday around lunchtime and came back last night. on thursday we walked over the tower bridge to the tower of london and i saw the crown jewels and the bloody tower. they have the biggest diamond in the world and its so pretty when it catches the light. going to see the crown jewels is like being on a disney world ride lol. and when u get to the realllly nice stuff u are on a moving track so u cant stop and look. then we went to leicester square and had dinner there and the superman priemere was that night so we saw all that and took pictures of kevin costner and kevin spacey and the director, producer, and all that jazz. then we saw a guy get arrested on the street. quite entertaining! then we saw guys and dolls.
friday i went to buckingham palace and saw the changing of the guards. there was a siiick amount of people there! then we had lunch in covent garden, and then i went to parliament/big ben/westminister abbey. my friend didnt wanna pay to go into the abbey, so we didnt go, and i really wanted to go into parliament, but we didnt have a chance. we also had dinner in covent garden and watched this street guitar player who played his guitar like a piano and it was soooo good! then we saw bloodbrothers. that was one intense show! they tell u the ending at the begninng and the first act sucks and is so predictable and retarded. its like ahhhh the twins die if they find out about each other, cue the scary music and lights, and then BOOM happy dancing and singing in a major key! the second act was better. and the writer had to be obsessed with marilyn monroe. omg they sang about her so much! lets dance and die and breathe like marilyn monroe!
saturday we went to the hard rock cafe for lunch and then i went to the theater museum. we went to this stage makeup workshop and my friend volunteered and they made her into an old wicked witch. it was funny. then we chose to go back to covent garden at nigght, and we spent so much time in this awesome store called lush with all these natural body products that are soo cool and smmell so good.
thursday im off to venice!

What am I listening too?: I'll Cover You - Rent
i know these quizzes are stupid but i was bored and my explo friend did it so i did it too and found it crazy that i got an exact 50-50 split.
hspa's suck ass. but i got 2 great naps after the last 2 sections today. they took me like 25 minutes to complete, so i had the rest of the 25 minutes to sleep, and my naps today were so much better than yesterdays!
yesterday i had major eye issues. then 4th period i got a nosebleed, but it was short-lived. then alyssa came with me to the nurse to get eye drops. i cant do it myself, so she did it for me. it was so bad. alyssa said my eyes were fluttering like crazy and my head was going backwards and my legs were flying up. so the nurse goes, ok this will be a first. go lie down on that table (like the medical cushiony thing). so im laying down to get my eye drops and the nurse is like people like you make my day, come in whenever you want!
i got the Curious George soundtrack!
devonne and i have seurat for the impressionist project. that was my first choice. yay pointillisme!

Anthony Rapp, the original "Mark" from RENT on Broadway, starred as the Cowardly Lion in an ILC Production of The Wizard of Oz.
"Rapp, 7, at a summer camp in Island Lake, Pa. (where his mother was the nurse), played Snoopy in the camp's musical version of the show. Rapp - slim, blond and very young looking at 28 - spoke of his first role in the play. "I think it was at that camp that I was bitten by the acting bug," he said with a laugh. "Come to think of it, I was bitten by a deer fly there, too. Didn't make me a deer, though." " --New York Daily News

Teacher's Convention should be renamed Visiting Colleges Convention.
My mom and I went up to the Philly area.
On Thursday we went to see Haverford. Their honor code is cool, but the school is super small and their dining hall is kinda ehh.
Then we went to Swarthmore, where some of the people from our Haverford tour went after too. When we coudn't find where we had to go for the tour, we asked some girl and i felt really cool b/c i knew the poem she was reading. I saw Eric at the info session. The area we came in (by science buildings) was kinda ugly. They had infiltration plants or something which looked like dead bushes. That whole area was pretty not-so-nice, but the rest of the school was. They have a cool "natural" ampitheater, but some of the dorms seemed like they were in the middle of nowhere in the woods.
Both schools are arboretums.
Later that night I got to see Olivia from ILC; she lives in Bryn Mawr. How ironic. Seeing a camp friend who lives in a town with the same name as my old camp. Her neighborhood was siiiiiick. Nicer than Short Hills, and she lives next to the president of some oil company. We went to this place called Peace A Pizza, which was like "gourmet" pizza. Their logo was a peace sign and they wore tye dye shirts. Get it? Peace a/piece of pizza? It took me awhile. Then we got cookies from this really good cookie place connected with the pizza place. Back at her house we watched the ILC Video Yrbk from 2004. Oh the good ol' days. I miss 'em.
On Friday we went to Penn. There were a ridiculous amount of people there. Before the info session, it was cold so we went to the bookstore, where we find Erica! So we stayed together and went in the same tour group, and Niraj was in our group too. There was also another Livingston kid there, but not in our group. The Quad is so nice, and Wharton was craaaaazy. I think they said it was the most expensive building in Philly. They have tons of rooms for group work with Smart Boards and the building has a really cool circle part. They also have a minor called Consumer Psychology, which is interdisciplinary between SAS and Wharton which is really cool. It's a combo of some psychology/cognitive science and a lot of Marketing, which is like perfect pour moi. After the tour, we went to the alumni info meeting thingy, and the lady holding the meeting was a communications major, so that was good, and the legacy student there's dad went to school with my parents. After all of this, my mom and I went to look at the Annenberg school, b/c they didn't take us there and I wanna do communications. Then we went to look at the huge new gym. For lunch I wanted to go to ABP at Wharton for a little Explo-ness, but we were on the other side so we got Cosi.
And now i have lots of hw, even though it doesnt seem like i do. eww.

What am I listening too?: New Deep - John Mayer
funny stuff from today's Jewish News:
"Things You Didn't Learn In Hebrew School"
--Spring ahead, fall back, winter in Boca
--No meal is complete without leftovers.
--According to Jewish dietary law, pork and shellfish may be eaten only in Chinese restaurants.
--A schmata is a dress that your husband's ex is wearing.
--Anything worth saying is worth repeating a thousand times.
--Never take a front row seat at a bris.
--Next year in Jerusalem. The year after that, how about a nice cruise?
--Never leave a restaurant empty handed.
--WASPs leave and never say good bye; Jews say good bye and never leave.
--Always whisper the names of diseases.
--If it tastes good, it's probably not kosher.
--Without Jewish mothers, who would need therapy?
--If you have to ask the price, you can't afford it. But if you can afford it, make sure to tell everybody what you paid.
and i'd also like to share an extremely intellectual and deep poem by my poet for the english project, allen ginsberg:
"Here We Go 'Round the Mulberry Bush"
I got old & shit in my pants
shit in my pants
shit in my pants
I got old & shit in my pants
shit in my pants again
We get old and shit in our pants
shit in our pants

What am I listening too?: Crying Shame - Jack Johnson
1. I'll respond with something random about you.
2. I'll tell you what song/movie reminds me of you.
3. I'll say something that only makes sense to you and me.
4. I'll tell you my first/clearest memory of you.
5. I'll tell you what animal you remind me of.
6. I'll ask you something that I've always wondered about you.
7. If I do this for you, you must post this on your journal. You MUST. It is written.

THIS WEEKEND ROCKED! I SAW MY CIT'S FOR MELISSA'S BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!! Friday we went to Lips, a drag bar in the city. It was hilarious. When 3 of the guys walked in late, a waitress made Adam take off his shirt but then she found out he was 16 and was like whoops! haha Melissa blew a drag queen! Then we went to times square and back to Melissa's house to sleepover. good times CIT'S <3
in the car to the city w/ my dad we talked a lot about colleges. as he puts it, i want to go to a snobby, intellectual college that when people who have never heard of it ask about it i will be too good to associate with them. no rah-rahness, frats, size of a town-ness, and hippies. haha we don't even know how to pronounce the college that's is pretty high up on my list: bowdoin.
then marla came over saturday night, but to her dismay, she couldn't see the MEXICANS. hehehe.
eww i still have like 13 pages to outline for us. hopefully he wont check it like last time so i dont have to finish it. and 70 pages aka all of part 2 to read for english. better go do that now :-(

What am I listening too?: No Other Way - Jack Johnson

In this Sept. 12, 2005, photo released by the Brooklyn borough president's office, a sign on the Brooklyn side of the Williamsburg Bridge proclaims "Leaving Brooklyn: Oy Vey!" The sign, bearing the Jewish expression of dismay or hurt, is intended as a way of acknowledging Brooklyn's large Jewish population. Borough President Marty Markowitz says motorists seeing it know it means "Dear me, I'm so sad you're leaving." (AP Photo/Brooklyn Borough President's Office, Kathryn Kirk)
that was amazing. i love netscape.com

What am I listening too?: It's The End Of The World As We Know It - REM
this weekend kinda sucked :-( i had a bad cold, and jen's mom wouldn't let her come over or come to the club for lunch today :-( this morning was soccer circle, and afterwards i went with my dad and my sister to the club for lunch. well as we are walking out we pass all these older people, and their was a post-bat mizvah brunch party going on, so even more old people were coming inside, so my sister goes "wow! livingston is turning into boca! everything is becoming stucco and there are so many old people!"
then last night she had like 4 friends here and one girl after going into the mirror bathroom goes "woahhh its so weird watching yourself pee!"
later today i went grocery shopping and to watch alana practice her dance. i was supposed to drive at some point; i brought my glasses, and my mom had my permit, but my sister refused to be in the car while i drove. so anywayssss, at dance i looked at the list of kids in my hip hop class and the other one. omg there is no way i am doing either one. both have like 4 kids and they all suck mucho. before we looked at the list my mom was like well if they are bad it makes you look that much better, but today when i told her i didn't want to do it, she said i didn't have to. i'm doing this thing called fusion funk on tuesdays at dancextensions on tuesdays so that seems like it will be pretty cool.
and i really need to figure out what im doing with tap :-/. half of my class from last yr graduated, so there were only 3 of us left. they combined us with the tap kids from intrmdte jazz camp. so that turned me off. then to make it even better, they took the 3 kids who are in like 7th grade and were supposed to be the hour after us and moved them into ours b/c the one competitive girl who's not even that good was complaining that she didn't like the class. there is NO WAY AT ALL i am doing that anymore. so my mom talked to one of the other senior girl's mom about having us 3 seniors be at the 3 little girls timeslot and having our own class. this is alll so confusing. i can't take it at nj ballet b/c it conflicts with fusion funk, but when i tried that class last year it was awesome. on wednesday, since i couldn't dance, i watched the tap class my sister and i were planning on taking at dancextensions. its supposed to be the most advanced tap they have, and one of the girls in it was competitive. she stopped tap for a year and forgot everything. like seriously. like she had to relearn time step. and then the other girl did rhythm so she had like no clue about a lot of stuff like triple drawbacks. so the teacher was like to my sister, you had the right training, you're my fav for the day. so after seeing that i was kinda turned off by this class, but my sister said this reaaaaaaaaaaally good girl she danced with over the summer was planning on taking it. so i have no clue what i wanna do. and then i could go to take it at unique performance, but that's on monday nights so i would have to switch my guitar lessons. and i also cant even try it tomorrow cuz i have a doctor appointment at the same time.
omg apes is rediculous. we watched dr. suess's The Lorax and had to answer ?s about that, and then we did this lab about tragedy of the commons where we fished with goldfish and had m&ms as our incentive for fishing. kristen and i were talking about how this class doesn't seem very ap-ish. and we haven't really gone over any of the book reading in classs, so im like so confused on whatever is going to be on this test whenever it is.
on friday, jen moderated sax auditions and of course i pick the number 6, and somehow i ended up having to go first. totally screwed up sight reading. i really don't care where i sit as long as i'm not towards the end, but it's still nice to have a good audition at some point in my life. i can't audition. i suck. i have to do it all the time in camp, and i always screw up. like in rockshop. i've had such bad auditions there, and to make it even better, once they gave me an out of tune guitar to use in my audition b/c the one i had wasn't acoustic-electirc. then like for tap auditions this summer i knew the dance and it was easy as hell but of course i screw it up. for hip hop auditions at the end they took like me and and a few others up and i think it was to just like double-check to see if they r good for advanced hip hop, and of course i totally screw that up and don't get into it, but whatever i didnt do it anyway.
so i've beeen teaching myself some of those GOOD pop songs like tyler hilton's "when it comes" and click 5 "just the girl" and they are wicked easy. and now i'm trying to learn "tears in heaven" = definitely not easy, but soooo pretty!
uhhh i have to write an approach paper on slaughterhouse five now. and at somepoint i have to take a psat practice test by tuesday.
and i did sooooo bad on my english essay :-( but at least wittmaack really liked my shrine to tennesee williams :-) he told all these people that they have to redo it b/c he would like everyone to get an A, but he told me that mine was easily readable and i did a good job filling up the space. it was truly exciting after the wicked bad essay grade!

How am I feeling?:
calm
What am I listening too?: She's Got A Way - Billy Joel
my new layout is totally rad. and its got cool stuff about me in the sidebar. you may learn something new 'bout me. go check it out. its dedicated to ILC.
and i love my new computer desktop background. every minute it changes to a new ILC 2005 picture. in random order.
friday we didn't go to the football game. by the time we finished dinner at the ritz (mmm german apple pancake), it was pointless. so we went to starbucks and i had my first peppermint hot chocolate. it rocked. then these girls started smoking near us and it was so strong that we had to get up and move. 3 asthmatics sitting next to smokers is cause for trouble.
saturday was fall fest. it was really cool. we were being soo annoying on the busride there haha. then we stopped at this campfire place in the middle of wooded nowhere which was kinda weird. we made smores and had a prayer squeeze. i prayed for the jericho kids. afterwards we went with WOUSY and PBUSY to midnight bowling, which was awesome. i didn't get to sleep until 2 in the morning.
after this i'm going to do hw. oh how much fun. outlining us before we even really start talking about the chapter. this is different than last year.
EDIT: so apparently my layout doesn't look right on other computers :-( its supposed to be the stuff on the left half with a picture of the ilc boat burning on the right half. but i guess on some computers the text boxes extend way to far out and are weird.

What am I listening too?: Worksong - Speechwriters LLC
i started my durp song today. and recorded it too! i told jack about it and he thought i was on drugs. and jack taught me "Hitchhiker's Guide" so now i can play my first Speechwriters LLC song :-)
english was really fun today. we did free-writes and i wrote about camp. i could have kept going and going and going.
and we listened to pearl jam in apes. that was cool.
and i went to the dentist today cuz i was swollen. turns out i have an infection b/c some of the stitches from my wisdom teeth healed to fast so the drainage hole isnt there anymore and there was stuff stuck in there, so they had to cut a slit and drain everything else and i got moooore stiches. i'll probably still be swollen at school tomorrow. joy.
i felt like a total idiot today (not thats unusual. i'm such a polack). in lunch i asked devonne where she was last period in french, and she was like i was there. well we did this activity where we walked around the room to ask questions to everyone and i couldnt find her, so i figured she was absent. and then she was like i didnt see you either. it was weird.
