At what moment in your life did you feel the most proud?
Proudest moment? I have quite a few to choose from but out of them all, the one moment when I was most proud was when I let go of logic and I trusted my gut.
It was when the fleet was in need the most, when it was in need of the fuel, tylium ore. Without this, we would have been sitting ducks for any Cylon attack. But luck seemed to have been on our side, we managed to find an asteroid that was rich in it but unfortunately for us - so had the Cylons. But humans are known for their stubborn natures and we weren't about to walk away from this.
Though I have to admit to not feeling very proud to be leading the mission to destroy the Cylon bases because I always felt I had only gotten the assignment because Kara was out of action. Laid up with a bad leg. No-one seemed to have any faith in my ability to do what needed to be done, not Kara and not my father. It's hard to think you'll succeed when everyone thinks you'll fail.
But I was assigned to lead and I did so. It wasn't easy and it looked set for failure but then, I just stopped thinking and I started acting. Following Kara's example, throwing caution to the wind and risking everything. And because I did, because I listened to my gut instead of all the years of rules and regulations - the mission was a success.
Doubt I've ever been more proud in my entire life.
