so back from Germany and Austria....
the mountains are SO beautiful! maybe it's just me b/c i have lived in Florida all my life and our highest elevation in Palm Beach is a 10 ft hill?. and it's cold.
went to Salzburg, Austria (where the Sound of Music was taped). went to the actual house and the ginormous fountain. it was gorgeous. lots of shopping :) we actually watched the Sound of Music in the car before we got there to refresh our memories of what we were about to see. so cool!
traffic sucks ass in germany! but we saw lots of castles and monetaries. fun fun! saw the Eagle's Nest (Hitler's "hide out" place)where you can see most of Germany and took a 45 minute boat ride to this island "gardens... something" and it was kind of boring but the boat ride was cool; with waterfalls and hidin crosses. more shopping.
we stayed the night at Edgeweiss Lodge & Resort in Garmisch, Germany. it's a military base resort. it's not even a year old yet. it was gorgeous! in-door pool with black lighting, like 3 gift shops, 3 restaurants inside, beautiful rooms. it was greatand really nice.
so Happy Birthday to Mac and my brother (his birthday was was the 19th). he opened his presents and we did everything that he wanted to do. we ate at a German Burger King. but it was weird because all of the decorations were dedicated to American movie stars. mostly James Dean. and i didn't hear much International music because everywhere we go, i hear Amereican Pop. i don't get it? but whatever...
today we are going to Verona. it's were the Romeo & Juliet thing happend. pretty cool, huh?. and there is lots more shopping there.... yay!
hasta
p.s. i love and miss you all!!
