I am a history major and have recently decided to stay on for my master's. I have roughly a year/year and a half left on my bachelor's degree. If I decide to go through with the master's, I will just stay at my current school. I have a good relationship with the professors here and I think that will be to my benefit in the long run.
Since the process is new to me, I have a few questions to ask of people who've been down this road before. :)
- I know the head of the grad program and have taken a few classes from him in the past. Should I make an appointment to speak with him prior to applying? If so, when should I do that? This fall when I start my senior year or closer to the actual application time/graduation? Would contacting him for advice over email be acceptable or should I have a face to face meeting?
Thanks so much! :)
