General Info:
Harold is three years old and is usually followed by a large white dog that is larger than him named Snowball. He is very powerful, although no one really knows it. (Note backstory) He draws in the air and his drawings come to life for a time. They go away after awhile. The exception is Snowball who he also drew, but he accidentally made her real.

A note about Snowball:
Okay, so for those who have read His Dark Materials? Snowball is kind of like a daemon, although Harold didn't really mean for her to be. He just wanted a doggie and he wanted one that would stay. But when Harold drew her and made her real he had to put something of himself into her. Because of that there is a very strong link between the two of them. Harold is not so much aware of the link, same as any of his magic, in that he does not think about it, it just is. Snowball cannot exist without Harold, although Harold will probably outgrow her eventually. His mood is reflected in her, at least partly. Snowball is something of Harold's protector. She makes sure he's okay, and if he's not she does what needs to be done to fix it.

Note about Snowball's breed/physical characteristics:
Harold didn't know what he was drawing, but the result greatly resembles a Great Pyrenees. They're white and average 25-32" in height.

Harold's main canon is the books by Crockett Johnson. However he also has some backstory not from the Crockett Johnson books and he comes from Milliways, and thus those things are apart of him.

Backstory:
Harold, the current Harold, is actually version number two. The first version went a little crazy because of all the uncontrolled power that he had.
That's when The Telkri stepped in. The Telkri realized how powerful Harold was and how much of a problem this was going to be and they knew they must do something. They argued amongst themselves and many thought Harold should just be destroyed, but The Protector argued that Harold would be fine as long as he had a way to maintain his power. Several others argued that he would be able to cope better if he was among those who could understand his powers better. Still others thought it would be better if his actual powers were stripped from him - leaving the certanity of greatness, but not the powers to bend will. After quite some time they decided to perform an experiment: to make several versions of the same child in order to test each theory and its level of success. Harold would be placed back into his timeline the same as before, except this time with an object to help him control his powers. The Protector decided that a crayon would be the least noticeable, and told Harold that the crayon was his and his alone - not to be shared. The other Telkri made their versions of Harold and placed them with different names in different families, in different universes.

Harold began to draw himself away from his parents when he was not yet two years old. He drew a picture, then walked into it. This didn't bother him - he always managed to get back.
But one day, he couldn't. For six months he drew himself around the universe until one day when he accidentally found a bar called Milliways..

Millicanon:
When Harold first came to Milliways he was a small boy who didn't talk at all and drew alot. Now he is still a small boy who still draws a lot..he talks now.

He was adopted, or almost adopted depending on who you ask, by Wolf and Virgina. They also adopted Sara Crewe, and Wolf and Virgina's had a son named, Hunter. When they left the bar to give birth to Hunter he felt abandoned and went to the Dark Cold Place and was there for about four months. Serena came and rescued him, he was in the care of Snow White until they returned. After they returned,
Harold kind of freaked and ran away to the woods where he made new
friends and then Prue found him and makes him invisible. He stays with her for awhile before going back and staying with Snow. Eventually Snow goes on holiday and so Harold goes back and stays with Wolf and Virginia, hesitantly.

The end of the story is the entire family left Milliways to go live with one of Wolf's friends.

Hearts and Minds:
Harold accidentally drew himself into Haurvatat. Since then he has met many people - all new, although some, like Wolf and Virginia, look an awful lot like people he knew back in the bar. He's come to accept the concept of alternate realities and doesn't freak when he knows someone who doesn't recognize him.
He is currently in the care of Lavinia, and has a connecting door between her room and his castle. He also has another pet, a purple bunny named Lilac.

Otherways:
Harold met Wolf and Virginia, but they did not try to adopt Harold. Instead Harold lived primarilly in the woods - staying with Frankle and entering the bar enough to make friends. His closest friends were still Snow and Prue, although he made other friends as well. He had enough support to become comfortable and begin speaking. After Snow, Wolf, Virginia, Sara and Hunter left Milliways, Harold drew his own door and ended up in Otherways.
His time in Milliways was longer than it was before, and so Harold is five or six now. He still drew Snowball, although she's a bit more protective of him since he kind of grew up in the woods with the demon bunnies and shadows and other scary things.
