Original Fic: Diary Of A Superhero: Chapter 8

Thanks for the reviews. Here comes the new chapter! ^_^

Title: Diary Of A Superhero: Chapter 8
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 2056; 16,509 so far
Summary: Life can get complicated when you have to juggle between going to high school, being a superhero and getting a boyfriend.

Wednesday, March 30

Today was weird. Finding out that Sean was Nightghost had been strange, but we were on familiar grounds at that time. Not that our high school is not familiar grounds, but the rooftop is Nightghost and Thunderskin's place. God, I sound like I have MPD! What I mean is that, even after unmasking ourselves, we were still pretty much at ease with each other. Now, seeing Sean at school after what happened last night felt really weird. I don't know, I've never felt that with Cleo. Of course, I'm not going out with her, so that makes things easier.

We greeted each other, but after that we didn't really know what to say. We've never talked much at school before. So we were sort of dancing around each other there and I could feel the tension sparking between us. Figuratively speaking. It wasn't to the point where I was sending random electricity arcs.

"Well, I'd better go sit down. You know the drill, it's never good to look close in daily life in case one of us gets caught," Sean said in a low voice.

I laughed softly. "I know, but it's good to see you."

"You saw me yesterday."

"Yes, but yesterday was a different day."

"It changed a lot of things, but we shouldn't show it here," he answered with a half-hidden smile.

Thursday, March 31

It was another weird day at school. It almost felt like Sean and I were avoiding each other. It doesn't make sense, since we were in the same room. But sometimes we were looking at each other, and so much meaning passed through those looks, and I wanted to go talk to him, but I didn't do anything, and neither did he. Then, I thought that maybe I would see him after I went patrolling with the team, but he wasn't there.

During the patrol, we spotted a little boy who seemed lost. He wasn't calling for help or anything, just looking around, so we weren't sure at first. We sent Butterfly to ask him, since he might have been afraid by three strangers. He told her that he was playing outside, but he had gone too far and couldn't find his house any more. He didn't know the address. Butterfly then brought him to us and made the introductions. He was called Greg.

We decided that she would try to find the parents, in case they were outside looking for their son. Seriously, why don't parents watch over young children better than that? And if she couldn't find the parents, we would take Greg to the nearest police station. In the meantime, Stronghold and I tried to play with him. I don't think we were very good at it, but it didn't go too badly either. And fifteen minutes later, Butterfly came back with Greg's mother. She was relieved to find her son and thanked us quickly before taking him home.

Friday, April 1

Ha ha ha! Today, our Chemistry teacher entered the classroom announcing that he was giving us a surprise test. As everyone was grumbling while putting away notebooks and folders, he exclaimed: "April Fool!" This is so not funny… Well, knowing him, I guess we should have seen it coming.

I still don't know how to act around Sean at school. This is driving me crazy. "Hey, were you ready for a surprise test?" I asked him later. How lame is that?

"I'm always ready. And Chemistry's not too difficult, anyway."

"Know-it-all!" I teased him.

"Pot, kettle. But thanks for your concern over my marks," he replied with a smirk.

Saturday, April 2

The training was okay today. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to focus, but actually, it went better than I thought. Maybe I'm getting used to having a complicated love life and my brain realised that I couldn't afford to be distracted in superhero matters.

The team went patrolling in the evening, but nothing happened. Then, I headed for Nightghost's building, and for once I was lucky, he was already there. And I was happy to see that he was still wearing his cowl. Am I projecting MPD on my boyfriend now? I really have to stop doing that.

"It was a long week," I said as I sat down next to him.

"Yes, it was. How was school?"

"Oh, you know, there's this annoying guy in my class who I don't even talk to."

"Well, he can't annoy you while you're not talking."

"No, seriously, it's so weird. I'm here, talking with you, kissing you," I leant in and did so, "and there, we barely talk and I don't even know what to do."

"It's better to stay away from each other in everyday life. You know it's for our own security. And even if our anonymity wasn't at stake, what would you do? What would you do if we were normal boyfriends?"

"I don't know. We probably wouldn't even be together if we weren't superheroes."

"That's true. But think about it. Would you want to be out? In high school? That's not easy."

"You're right, but it's not only about that. I mean, even just talking, it's not the same. It's just so strange."

Sean stood up, came behind me and started massaging my neck and shoulders. It felt so good! "You're thinking too much!" he whispered in my ear. "This is new for me too. We just need to find our rhythm." Then, he hugged me from behind, and I felt safe in his arms.

Monday, April 4

School was much less awkward today. Sean really has a way to talk to me, I feel more relaxed now. When we're exchanging looks, I can feel our complicity rather than my nervousness. It's quite enjoyable.

Tuesday, April 5

I think I feel more at ease with patrolling too. Even though I had managed so far to stop thinking about Nightghost during the patrols, everything was still lurking inside my brain. Now I'm free of most of my worries. We haven't reached our balance yet, but things are settling down, and I can focus better on my superhero duties. Not that anything particular happened tonight, but when something happens, I'll be ready.

Wednesday, April 6

The Headquarters sent us to investigate a small gang. It was a relevant choice, since when we found them, they were in the middle of robbing a jewellery shop. If I ever want to open one, I'll definitely choose another town. Well, I could always sleep in my shop and electrocute the people trying to rob me, so I guess I would have an advantage over the owners of this one.

The gang was made up of a dozen people, so nothing worrying for The Hawks. First, we spotted their escape car. I sent an electricity arc at the driver who had kindly left the window open to smoke a cigarette. One problem solved!

Stronghold and I entered the jewel shop while Butterfly remained outside. We started fighting against the thieves, and in the small space of the shop, I aimed badly and punched Stronghold. Ouch! I think my fist suffered more than his face. One of the thieves took advantage of the confusion of the moment to run away. But Butterfly was watching and tripped him. The guy ended up sprawled over the pavement. I turned around and sent a long arc in his direction. He was stunned at once. I went back to helping Stronghold, without hitting him this time. He had knocked several guys in the meantime, so there were only three left. I took care of one, adding a little electricity to my punches, while he fought the other two. We didn't need much more time to end the fight. Then, we heard some police cars approaching, so Stronghold and I used our grappling hooks to go to the roof of the small building. We kept watch until we saw the cars turning the corner and stopping in front of the shop, then we left to continue our patrol.

I didn't see Nightghost tonight either.

Friday, April 8

As I opened my school bag this afternoon, I found a folded note inside: "My parents are not home tonight. Come to my place after classes. S-" There was an address, a door code and a roughly sketched map below. I folded the paper back and hid it in my bag. I couldn't wipe away the silly smile on my face so easily, though.

I took my time to walk to Sean's place. It wouldn't do to arrive before him, since nobody would be there to let me in. Fortunately, he was back when I rang the door. He took some soda cans from the fridge and led me to his bedroom. It was very tidy, as I expected from him, and his shelves were full of novels. I dropped my back near the door and put my jacket on the back of a chair.

"I got your message. When did you put it in my bag? I didn't even notice you doing it."

He grinned and leant towards his own bag. It was still closed, lying at the bottom of the bed. He plunged his hand inside, then took it out holding a pen and started juggling with it. "I have a few tricks up my sleeve."

I rolled my eyes. "Right, that can help!"

"Don't worry, I was careful, nobody saw me."

"I'm not worried, I'm sure you know how to handle your power. So, I take it from your message that you haven't told your parents yet."

"No, have you?"

"You know I can't. If I mention our relationship to my parents, then my friends will hear about it too. Your parents are the only ones who know about the secrecy rule."

"I'll tell them, but later. I don't think they'll have a problem with it, but for now, this is just ours. What if you could tell your parents… would you do it?"

"Probably not. I don't think they're as open-minded as your parents, from what you tell me about them. Well, they wouldn't disinherit me or anything like that, don't worry, but it would make things complicated."

He came closer to me and took me in his arms. "Our lives are complex enough, so let's take things as they come, okay?"

I leant in and kissed him. From there, we just plopped down on the bed and spent most of the time kissing.

Saturday, April 9

I did some hand-to-hand training with Stronghold today. It was quite harsh. Did he want to get back at me for punching him at the jewel shop? Come on, it can't have hurt him? Anyway, training isn't supposed to be easy, so let's just say it was an effective session.

I didn't see Nightghost after the patrol. Is he avoiding the rooftop again? Well, his bedroom is far more comfortable than the rooftop, so I'm not going to complain.

Tuesday, April 12

We had lunch in a new restaurant with Jim and Madison. I can't exactly say it was expensive, but it wasn't cheap either. We're just students, after all. And the service was a little slow. We were almost late for our afternoon lessons. But the food was good, so I guess we'll go back a couple of times during the year.

Friday, April 15

Victory dance! I was in the corridors when Sean brushed against me and said in a low voice that I could come to his place after classes. I answered that I would see him there. Was he discreet? Obviously. Still, it didn't seem like that to me, as I could still feel the touch of his hand on my wrist for the next hour.

So, I went to Sean's place, and we started to kiss on his bed. And I could feel his erection against my thigh, so I touched him! I don't think I could fully process the information at the time, but I did it anyway. And he gasped and started touching me too! Just wow! Needless to say that we didn't last long… But wow, it was awesome! And then we cuddled, which is usually sort of girly, except I've decided that it's not when you've just had sex.
Shelter ^__^

I've just seen a wonderful gay movie, Shelter. Gay movies tend to be either overly angsty (but I watch them anyway and get all depressed) or completely cliché (count me out on those ones), but Shelter is awesome. ^__^

There are some beautiful surfing scenes, but of course the most delicious scenes are the guys in bed. ^^ They're so sweet together ♥ and very hot, with some nice tattoos that make them look even hotter. Also, it's adorable when they take care of the kiddo. :-)

Take a look at the trailer here.

----------

On a totally different note, they're making a Cthulhu movie. Yes, the most famous tentacle monster ever, created by HP Lovecraft! And guess what? It's going to be a gay movie! o_O I asked shini_chii, who has read the story, and she confirmed that it wasn't initially gay.

Now, this isn't my kind of stories at all, so I don't want to see the movie, but it's almost tempting. XDDD

You can watch the trailer here.

Okay, I've just noticed that Cthulhu has the same producer as Shelter: here!Films (of Dante's Cove fame). This is so epic! XD

Original Fic: Diary Of A Superhero: Chapter 7

Thanks for the reviews. Enjoy the new chapter! ^_^

Title: Diary Of A Superhero: Chapter 7
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 2222; 14,453 so far
Summary: Life can get complicated when you have to juggle between going to high school, being a superhero and getting a boyfriend.

Thursday, March 3

We went patrolling tonight, but nothing special happened. I was hoping to see Nightghost afterwards, but he wasn't at the usual place. I waited for half an hour before deciding to go back home. Patrolling is all right, since we keep moving, but it's still too cold to stay motionless for a long time. I hope I'll see him soon.

Saturday, March 5

We met The Invincible at the Headquarters! I thanked him again for last time. He was really cool about it, saying that I would have done the same for him. As if that could happen! Not that I wouldn't help him, of course, but he'd never need the help. It's great that someone that powerful is so nice, instead of being full of himself.

We were all impressed and kept mentioning the encounter during our training. After all, The Invincible is a role model for every young superhero in this town and it's not every day that we get to see him in the flesh.

Later, we went patrolling. It was another calm evening. And I didn't get to see any young superhero apart from the members of my own team…

Monday, March 7

History was so boring today. A nap sounded like a better idea. And I don't even take naps. But seriously, why do we need to study this stuff? It's not even going to be useful in our daily lives. I know that I don't have a real job yet, but I'm a superhero, and I can testify that this doesn't help me in any way when I need to catch a villain!

Tuesday, March 8

The Headquarters sent us patrolling to an area where a gang from Square City had been spotted. According to the information they gave us, some superheroes from there had been after them, so they decided to move to our town, hoping to be left alone. Hello, there are superheroes in North City too! Where do they think they are? In the middle of nowhere?

So we started looking for them. It took us some time, but after a couple of hours, Butterfly finally found them. They were raiding a warehouse. The least I can say is that these guys weren't wasting any time. They had been in our city for barely a week and they were already in action.

Stronghold and I approached them, and one of them, probably their leader, walked towards us. "Well, well, what do we have here? We thought we could work in peace in this town, but it doesn't seem to be the case."

"We probably don't have the same definition of work," Stronghold replied.

"I'm sure we can help you share ours… Guys!" Several members of the gang answered his call by grabbing metal bars and joining him.

I grinned. Stronghold didn't even need to look at me, he just whispered: "Don't be too harsh on them." The electric arcs jumped from one bar to another. It didn't take long before the metal bars clattered to the ground as the gang members holding them fainted.

The leader's eyes widened in fear. He turned and ran towards the warehouse, where the rest of his gang was. We followed him and Stronghold started fighting several guys. Another one attacked me and I punched him in the jaw. Apparently, he didn't expect that I could also fight hand-to-hand and was easily defeated.

Then, Butterfly flew over us and caught one of the guys. He screamed as she carried him through the air. The warehouse on the other side of the road seemed to be disused and some of the windows were cemented. She dropped the guy on a window ledge on the third floor and left him there calling for help. A few more members of the gang suffered the same fate. That was hilarious! Well, not for them, I guess. And maybe not for the police once they need to get them out of there. They can always use a fireman's ladder or something. I think we did a fine job on this one.

Thursday, March 10

The patrol went fine. Still no trace of Nightghost, though. That sucks. He's going to hear me next time I see him.

Saturday, March 12

We had a lot of fun training today. I don't know, it might be springtime. It was sunny and we were all quite cheerful.

The nights are still cold, though. And if I catch a pneumonia, I know whose fault it'll be! Since everything seemed calm in the city, the team called it an early night. So I went to Nightghost's building and waited for almost an hour, in order to be sure not to miss him if he decided to come. And of course he never showed up.

I think there's no doubt left, he's avoiding me! I was hoping that it was just bad timing, or at least that he would avoid me for a couple of days and then come back to our usual spot. But no, Mister Nightghost has decided not to show up any more! So what am I supposed to do? It's not like I can go to his place or anything, considering I don't exactly know who he is or where he lives, and this is confidential information at the Headquarters. Maybe I could organise a robbery and get his address that way. Just kidding! I run into stupid Thinblade often enough, I'll end up running into Nightghost too, whether he wants it or not. It's just useless waiting for him to come back there.

Wednesday, March 16

My father got a promotion! He's replacing his boss, who's replacing her boss, who's just retired. Maybe I skipped someone in the pyramid, I'm not sure. Anyway, that means that we went to celebrate at a fancy restaurant and it was really delicious. It also means that I can hope for more pocket money. It's negotiation time!

Saturday, March 19

We trained a lot today, I'm really tired. Plus, as we were patrolling, we saw a couple of guys pickpocketing. One of them bumped into a middle-aged man, stole his wallet and not too discreetly handed it over to his accomplice, who was walking in the opposite direction. The victim didn't notice a thing.

I landed next to the first thief and punched him to stop him. It didn't knock him out on the first try, so I mixed a little electricity with my second punch, and then it worked perfectly. Stronghold went after the one who had the wallet. He almost lost him as the guy turned into a dark street, but fortunately Butterfly spotted him and guided Stronghold to where he had disappeared. After Stronghold had taken care of the second thief, she took the wallet and went to look for its owner. What would we do without her ability?

Sunday, March 20

There's a Chocolate Fair in town, and Madison convinced Jim and me to go with her. I love chocolate, but events like that are for little kids and for couples. And there were even more couples than I thought. It was all terribly mushy. I wouldn't even take my boyfriend there, if he deigned to reappear in my life, that is…

But since we had been dragged there, we took advantage of it and bought lots of chocolates: the usual sorts, of course, but also orange chocolates, pear chocolates, mint chocolates, cherry chocolates and chocolates with all kinds of fillings. Yummy! This should last until summer. Or maybe not, actually.

Thursday, March 24

We went patrolling tonight, and who did we meet moving between buildings? The Wizards! So we all landed on top of a building for some courtesy talk. Thinblade started taunting me with whatever it was this time, I wasn't exactly paying attention at this point. I was looking at Nightghost, and he was looking at me too, though it's hard to tell with the cowl, but even though it wouldn't have been obvious to Stronghold and Butterfly, it was to me. So, basically, we were just standing there looking at each other and ignoring the rest of the world.

Of course, the rest of the world had decided to be a pain instead of leaving us alone: "Hey, Thunderskin, I'm talking to you. Did you get deaf or something? Because that's not going to help you if you want to become a superhero one day," Thinblade said.

No, really, the rest of the world didn't sound very interesting right then. I walked past Thinblade, who must have wondered if I had turned crazy, grabbed Nightghost's wrist and dragged him behind that higher part of the rooftop with the door to the internal stairs. He followed me without a word.

"So?" I asked once we were out of view.

"I'm sorry," he replied with a low voice.

"Sorry for what?"

"I'm sorry for kissing you."

"Beep! Wrong answer!"

He looked at me, dumbfounded. I didn't say anything else at first, and after some time, I could see that he was starting to understand where this was going.

"You're sorry for disappearing on me. That was the answer to my question." It was intoxicating to have him so close to me. "Did you think I was stupid? Did you think I hadn't picked up on the fact that you were hitting on me? Did you think I was spending time with you just because we were getting along? I mean, of course we're getting along, but there's clearly more to it than that. And yes, I do realise that this isn't the best place to talk about that. The others are probably wondering what's happening here, and we should just get back before they decide to join us. But think about what I've said. Think about it, and next time, you'd better be on that rooftop of yours," I said with a hint of promise.

I started to leave, but I just couldn't resist. I turned back, put my right arm around Nightghost's neck and kissed him passionately. After a couple of seconds, he returned the kiss, which was answer enough, if there had ever been need for an answer.

"Be there!" I added before turning away from him.

We went back to our teams, and everybody looked curious about what had happened, especially Thinblade: "What was that all about? Nightghost, are you all right? He didn't attack you or anything?"

"No, it's fine, don't worry," Nightghost answered calmly.

Thinblade looked at me suspiciously. "You'd better not harm my teammates or I'll take care of you!"

"Hey, I didn't do anything to him. Mind your own business!"

"If something happens to my teammates, that's my business!"

"It's okay, Thinblade. Let's go," Nightghost suggested.

And once The Wizards had left, I had to answer to Butterfly too. My team is great, really, but I'm not going to discuss my love life with them right now. I'll just wait and see how things evolve with Nightghost first.

Saturday, March 26

I wasn't exactly focused during our training. I was thinking of seeing Nightghost tonight. Fortunately, I managed to concentrate on patrolling, since you can't take that lightly.

So, I went to Nightghost's favourite building after the patrol, but he wasn't there! I hope this is just a case of bad timing, or I'm going to drag him all the way there next time I run into him!

Tuesday, March 29

That was a really weird night! I went patrolling with the team and it was another quiet evening. Then, I went to Nightghost's rooftop, and once again, he wasn't there. But I waited anyway, since I'm such a hopeful guy… And it paid off! Nightghost arrived 15-20 minutes later.

"Hey! Sorry I'm late."

"It's not like we have a schedule, you know, so technically you can't be late. But I guess that's better than apologising for kissing me."

"I learnt my lesson," he replied with a smile. Then he walked up to me and started kissing me. Yay! We enjoyed this for ten minutes, with only a few breaks for breathing purposes. I probably could have spent the whole evening doing that. But Nightghost had other ideas.

"You know, since we're dating now… We are dating, aren't we?"

"All clues seem to lead to that conclusion, yes," I answered with a laugh.

"I was thinking we could just stop being anonymous. If it's all right with you?"

"Completely! In fact, I think this is a little ridiculous."

"I guess it is."

Nightghost then took off his cowl, and I remained speechless. That anonymity thing between fellow superheroes is definitely ridiculous!

"So, my name is…"

"Actually, I know what your name is," I stopped him as I removed my own mask. Sean Newton, meet the true Zack Flint!

"Oh!" was his first comment. The situation was awkward for a moment, but then, he smiled and said: "Well, I've always thought that you were cute."

"Great! To tell you the truth, I was too busy ranting about your marks for any other consideration, but now that I can think about it properly, you're quite nice-looking too. Especially in this black costume."

"Thanks… I guess. I'd better put my costume to good use, then." He closed the distance between us and started kissing me again.
Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn

I've finally caught up with Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn. As expected, the beginning was awful. :-( I can't bear Lambo *shoots* and Bianchi is also quite annoying. But then I reached the Mukuro arc and it got so much better. ^__^

This anime is full of bishies and gets me in Ranking!Fuuta mode:
#3: Gokudera-kun *pets hair*
#2: Dino-san *spazzes* I want to marry him! ♥
#1: Mukuro-sama *faints from the hotness*
And everyone TYL is so hot! *nosebleeds at Hibari-san and molests Byakuran-sama*

In terms of pairings, like most people, I'm attracted to Gokudera/Yamamoto, but it's so not canon. ;__; I understand why some people ship Gokudera/Tsuna instead. It's less hot, but it makes more sense. I also like Dino/Hibari and Mukuro/Hibari. :-)

It was all very WTFish. x_X We also rewatched Prisoner of Azkaban. Sirius and Remus are so in love with each other. ♥ And we fangirled over the Junjou Romantica anime. :D

We spent a lot of time on YouTube. I forced her to watch Narnia interviews, since all the actors are so touchy-feely and at least one of them is clearly trying to out himself in random interviews. ^^ We also watched the Comic Con panels for Torchwood and for Dollhouse (yes, it already had a panel o_O).

*glomps teh stained_dreams some more*

Original Fic: Diary Of A Superhero: Chapter 6

Thanks for the reviews. Have fun with the new chapter! ^_^

Title: Diary Of A Superhero: Chapter 6
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 1972; 12,231 so far
Summary: Life can get complicated when you have to juggle between going to high school, being a superhero and getting a boyfriend.

Saturday, February 12

I finally went to the hairdresser. Fortunately, the difference isn't that visible. It would be weird if everybody noticed that Thunderskin and I had a haircut at the same time!

Afterwards, I joined the others at the Headquarters for our usual training. Cleo spent five minutes commenting on my hair, then on hers, then on Alejandro's. He pretended very intently not to be listening. He was probably afraid that she'd decide to dye his hair blond or something.

We went patrolling in the evening, but nothing much happened. Let's hope the good trend continues. And of course we're going to catch Darkthread! We won't let her beat us like that next time!

Sunday, February 13

Today, I went bowling with Madison and Jim. It was very fun! We've already been there a few times with Jim. Madison has only accompanied us once so far, so she's still not very good at it. She complained about it, but all in all, I know she had fun too.

Then, we bought some chocolate ice-cream. It might be a little cold to eat ice-cream, but the good point is that it doesn't melt. And there's no real season for ice-cream, anyway.

Tuesday, February 15

Again, nothing happened during the patrol. It's very calm these days. But the good point is that I met Nightghost afterwards.

"Hi! I see you often lately," he greeted me.

"We've been patrolling more than before."

"It's good, you're getting into your roles. We started slowly too, and now we're outside practically every night. Did you catch anyone tonight?"

"No. Maybe it's too cold for the bad guys?"

"Unfortunately, I don't think they take this factor into consideration, or I would have stayed home. But it's true that there has been less criminal activity recently. Apart from Darkthread."

"Yes, apart from her…" I answered with a touch of disappointment, thinking of our last encounter.

"Even though you're not supposed to go after her, you still intend to catch her, don't you?"

I looked at Nightghost and asked: "What makes you think so?"

"Come on, I haven't known you for a long time, but I already know you well enough to realise that you won't give up that easily."

I smiled with pride: "Definitely not! Wouldn't you do the same?"

"Of course. We're not particularly going after her, but if we ever run into her, we won't let her get away. It's our job, and we'll do it as best as we can. We can't let villains intimidate us."

Thursday, February 17

We patrolled again tonight. We spotted a group of suspicious-looking young guys, so we followed them around discreetly. Some time later, two of them started fighting. We thought of intervening, but they stopped after a minute, and they didn't use nor threaten to use any weapons, so I guess they weren't really dangerous. We kept watching them anyway, but when some of them started to go home, we left them before the group fully scattered. It would be better for them to study at home instead of spending the night outside, but I'm not one to talk. At least I have a good reason to do it.

I didn't get to see Nightghost afterwards.

Friday, February 18

I had a hard time in Physics class today. I'm usually very good at it, it's not that different from Maths, but that new lesson on forces was tricky. Sean asked several questions to our teacher, so I'm not the only one with some difficulty. And it's even worse for our other classmates. Some of them already came to ask me questions afterwards. Hello, guys, you're supposed to ask the teacher, not me, because I don't exactly master the subject myself. And he's not bad at explaining, it's just that it's a bit complex because it involves several phenomena at the same time.

Saturday, February 19

I wouldn't say that Cleo is getting better at hand-to-hand combat, because that would be an exaggeration, but she's working hard, so she deserves some praise. I didn't do much hand-to-hand training today, I focused on my powers. Yes, that means that Cleo trained with Alejandro, but he's trying not to use too much power when he's fighting against her and that works relatively fine.

There's not much to say about the patrol. We didn't see anything amiss and we called it an early night. I didn't meet Nightghost tonight either.

Monday, February 21

I've just seen Nightghost! In today's newspaper, there was an article about The Wizards catching some bank robbers last night. So when I saw him, I had to congratulate him.

"It's nothing, really. There were only three people, and Eyeblink practically did all the work. But thank you anyway."

"You're welcome. Even though you say it wasn't anything big, you guys were in the press, so that's impressive in itself. And Thinblade even made a declaration… Does that mean that he's going to be even more insufferable now?"

Nightghost laughed. "No, don't worry. I won't deny that his ego likes the attention. But you probably remember that he's also quite obsessed with secrecy, so he actually doesn't really like when there are journalists around us."

"I remember. He didn't want you to be talking to me when we were prisoners and he probably doesn't even want you to be talking to me right now."

"Well, it's not like he has a say in the matter," Nightghost answered me with a smile that was almost a smirk.

Thursday, February 24

The Headquarters contacted us about some gang that the police hadn't been able to apprehend yet. They had been seen hanging around on the docks, so the Headquarters sent us after them. When we arrived at the place indicated, they had already left. They were indeed moving around a lot, which explained why the police had some trouble catching them, but with Butterfly there to help us, we didn't have much difficulty locating them.

I beat a few of them with mere punches and a few others with the help of a little electricity. All in all, I think I did quite well. Stronghold defeated most of the others, while Butterfly took care of a couple of them by dropping them into the water. She's not strong, but she has good ideas to counter her disadvantage. Afterwards, we called the Headquarters, and we left as soon as we heard the police arriving. They must have been happy to finally get these elusive guys.

Saturday, February 26

During the patrol, we finally spotted Darkthread in action. She was at an antique dealer's shop. It makes sense, but we honestly don't see much of this. Even though the goods can be very expensive, I guess they're not as easy to sell as jewels.

This time, we were determined not to mess up. Which meant that we needed a plan. Easier said than done when your enemy can attack you from a distance. We could approach the shop easily enough with our grappling hooks. After that, it would get more difficult, because even though I have mid-range attacks, I needed to enter the shop to be close enough to Darkthread, and she would probably notice that. We clearly needed a diversion. Butterfly offered to fly into the shop, but Alejandro objected that it would be too dangerous, and anyway, that would mean that we would both arrive from the same direction, and that wouldn't work well as a distraction. So we went to explore the other side of the building.

We found a back door, but it was locked. Nothing Stronghold couldn't break, though. There were also some windows that could be shattered as a diversion. Superheroes destroying citizens' property, I know, that's a shame. But sometimes you don't really have a choice, and that's why insurance was invented. We opted to break the door so that Stronghold could enter and come help me. I went to stand at the corner of the building, in order to go into the shop through the entrance door, and signalled Stronghold that I was ready.

He threw himself at the back door a first time. There was a loud bang, but the door didn't collapse. Inside the shop, I saw Darkthread give a start and look up towards the source of the noise. I took advantage of the moment to slip through the door, that Darkthread had conveniently crushed to enter the shop, and go hide behind a chest of drawers. I was still too far away from her, but after Stronghold's second strike against the door, I managed to reach a huge bed that was a decent cover.

From there, I thought that I was close enough and threw electricity at her at full blast. She jerked under the attack but didn't fall. She turned around and saw me. She prepared to attack me with something, probably that huge, heavy bed from the direction she was looking in, and I had a big fright there! But nothing moved. Phew! I guess she wasn't immune to my electricity after all. She still managed to throw a candelabra at my head, though, and that hurt!

But then, Stronghold and Butterfly appeared in the shop. I hadn't even paid attention to him finally breaking the back door. He attacked Darkthread and managed to knock her out before she could retaliate, if she could even have retaliated, considering that her power was practically out of service. We felt all relieved afterwards. That hadn't been as easy as it might sound. Butterfly called the Headquarters, and this time, we were congratulated like the great superheroes that we are! Yay for us! What was it again about "lack of experience"?

Sunday, February 27

I went to Jim's house to play videogames. It's always more fun to play with someone else than against the machine. He won the racing games, he's really good at them. But I won practically all the fighting games. It must be thanks to my superhero instincts or something like that. Then we listened to some good rock music, it was cool. Why do we have to go to school tomorrow, I'd rather have an extra day of weekend.

Tuesday, March 1

The team is on a roll! Even though we caught Darkthread, we decided to keep patrolling on a regular basis. It's just like Nightghost had said. And talking about Nightghost, I saw him after our patrol. I joined him on the rooftop and sat down next to him. Of course, he congratulated me and the team for catching Darkthread.

"See, young teams can face people with powers too," I replied. "Okay, we had a hard time when we first fought her, but this time, we were prepared, we worked as a team and we beat her!"

"I never said you couldn't do it. On the contrary, I'm still part of a young team, even though we have a little more experience than you guys, and I know what we're all capable of. I knew you had it in you!"

I couldn't help grinning. "It feels good to be trusted… Especially by you."

And that's when it became surreal. Nightghost slowly leant towards me, cupped my face and pressed his lips against mine. I think my brain stopped working for a second there. Hello, first kiss, and all that… Woohoo! But that's not why it was surreal, because I clearly saw it coming. Well, not at that particular moment, it was rather a surprise, but still, we were heading there. No, I'm talking about what happened after.

"Sorry… I mean… I didn't… Forget about that." And he jumped off the building and disappeared into the night. This is so not funny! Note to self: do not date guys who are not even cornered on top of a building!
Original Fic: Diary Of A Superhero: Chapter 5

Thanks for the reviews. Here's the new chapter. Enjoy! ^_^

Title: Diary Of A Superhero: Chapter 5
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 1967; 10,259 so far
Summary: Life can get complicated when you have to juggle between going to high school, being a superhero and getting a boyfriend.

Friday, January 28

Tonight, Jim, Madison and I went to a party at Clara's. The music was better than usual. When I mentioned that I really liked one of the songs that was playing, she told me that she had borrowed the CD from her brother. I guess that explains the difference. I'm not as picky when I go to parties as when I buy CDs, but it's always nice to have some good songs from time to time.

I chatted a lot with Cleo and we hogged the peanuts. Madison joined us after some time and complained about it. At least I can't say that I'm surrounded by girls obsessed with diets. It's not like they need to do one, anyway, and Cleo and I need the energy for our powers.

Saturday, January 29

We had a nice training session today. I think my hand-to-hand skills are improving, though it's difficult to judge when you're fighting against Alejandro.

Patrolling was less entertaining. Nothing special happened, and we stopped early, since Butterfly and I had some sleep to catch up on.

Sunday, January 30

I felt like going to swim, so I texted Jim and he replied that he would join me at the pool. At first, I took my time and simply enjoyed the water. Then, Jim arrived and we started racing. And I beat him! Ha ha! It seems that all that training doesn't go to waste, since he used to beat me all the time before. I'm quite proud of myself!

Winter is probably not the right season for swimming, though. I was freezing when I got outside with my hair still wet. I think I need a haircut.

Tuesday, February 1

There was an article in the newspaper about a series of robberies. Apparently, one of the witnesses to the latest one declared to the press that he had been attacked by a woman with telekinesis powers. I hadn't heard of this before, but since the circumstances are similar, this has to be the same person. I guess the police covered it up so far.

So I contacted the team and we went on patrol. Butterfly mentioned that we hadn't been assigned to that particular mission and that the Headquarters had probably contacted someone more qualified. Technically, young teams aren't called to fight people with powers, because we "lack experience". But we're certainly not going to let that thief do what she wants in our area! And anyway, how are we supposed to gain experience if we only work on minor cases?

Thursday, February 3

We didn't have any time to patrol yesterday. We also have studies to take care of, after all. But tonight we went back to business. Still no trace of that woman, though. She acts a couple of times every week, without a specific pattern, so she won't be easy to catch.

Afterwards, when I was heading home, I had the surprise to spot Nightghost. He was sitting on the top of a building, his legs dangling off the edge. Maybe he was spying on someone, though he didn't seem to have binoculars. I hesitated a little and finally decided to join him.

"Hi! I hope I'm not disturbing you. Are you on a mission right now?"

"No, we've finished patrolling for tonight. It seems that you've just found my hangout. The view is fantastic from here. I always find it relaxing after patrolling. You know… watching over the people you're trying to protect. It feels good before going home."

You could indeed see a large part of the city from there. Some buildings had a lot of windows lit up; others, probably company buildings, were completely dark. Below, cars were still driving, though not as many as during the day.

"You're right, it's inspiring," I said with a smile.

"Come sit here," Nightghost offered.

"Is it okay? I can just leave if you want to stay alone."

"No, it's all right. On the contrary, it's nice to share the view."

I sat down next to him. The wind rushing from the bottom of the building practically pushed me back.

He laughed. "The draught is a little annoying, but the view's worth it."

"You're right. People look so tiny from here. I never really pay attention when I'm using my grappling hook. I'm too focused on not falling."

"It's the same for all of us. Which is why I like to take a break here after patrols."

"No, not for all of us. I know some people who can enjoy the view without any worry."

"Oh, yes, your teammate can fly. She's lucky."

"That she is! Not that I'm complaining about my powers," I added quickly.

"I don't think there are people who don't like their powers. No, actually, I'm probably being idealistic here. I guess some don't, though I have difficulty imagining why. But it's obvious that being part of superhero teams gives us a purpose. We can help people thanks to our abilities."

"Yes, that's what I've always wanted to do. As soon as I discovered my power, I decided to become a superhero! I haven't done this for a long time, but I know I can accomplish a lot," I declared with enthusiasm.

"I'm sure you can. Well, I should be heading home now, it's getting late. Feel free to come again."

"Are you sure? I don't want to be annoying."

"Come on, you're not going to ask me this every time. It's always a pleasure to chat with you."

"Okay, then I guess I'll come back."

Saturday, February 5

The training was fine today. We've got a good rhythm now and I get less muscle ache than before.

We didn't find the woman during our patrol, but we caught a guy who had just stolen a handbag, so all in all it was a useful night. That was just a small fish, he didn't expect to have a full team of superheroes going against him. Hey, that's why we're here too, we're not going to overlook it just because he didn't attack a bank!

Sunday, February 6

I spent all my afternoon cramming for the History test we have tomorrow. I swear, I study this stuff on a regular basis, but the dates just don't want to stay in my head. At least it's good that the day before the exam is a Sunday. That leaves me more time to revise all these stupid events.

Monday, February 7

I think I did fine on the test. My short-term memory works well enough from one day to another. But you can be sure that, by the end of the week, I'll barely remember half of it. Madison seemed quite satisfied with her answers too, Jim a little less. But he always says that and he gets decent marks after all, so I don't worry for him.

Tuesday, February 8

We faced Darkthread, the woman with telekinesis powers, and it didn't go well… We were patrolling when Butterfly heard the alarm going off in a jewel shop. It stopped fast enough, but we landed in front of the shop to investigate. The shutter was back up and the door was smashed in. We entered cautiously and we saw her standing in front of the open safe. She was wearing a black costume, as well as a purple eyemask, but that I could only see when she heard us and turned around.

I threw electricity at her, but in no time she had the mahogany desk floating in midair right in front of her and shielding her from the arcs. Stronghold rushed towards her and punched right through the desk. Unfortunately, it was pretty solid and she didn't leave him the time to give another punch. She pushed the furniture fast enough to crush him against the wall and took it back in front of her to shield herself again. I saw with horror that Stronghold was lying unconscious on the floor.

Butterfly flew to him at once, but never reached him. She was projected into the window and fell amongst the showcased jewels. I tried to throw more electricity, but the desk was constantly in the way. Darkthread must really have a lot of power to be able to move something that big so fast and for so long. Then, the red curtain that separated the room from the back shop started to move, and suddenly it was all over me and I couldn't do anything to disentangle myself.

When I finally freed myself, she was gone and I rushed to help Butterfly. She was fine, just a little stunned, but nothing serious. Stronghold, on the contrary, got us quite worried. He needed a lot of time to come around. In the meantime, Butterfly had called the Headquarters, and some people from there arrived soon after. They took us back to their building and sent Stronghold to the infirmary. They told us that it shouldn't be long and gave us some food to restore our forces. Stronghold joined us an hour later, saying that someone with healing powers had taken care of his monster headache and that he felt fine now. Butterfly hugged him with enthusiasm and so did I.

Then, we were summoned to a big office and someone apparently high-ranked started to explain to us vehemently that Darkthread was considered dangerous and that, in a similar situation, we had to call the Headquarters for backup. Yeah, really, that's the first thing that comes to mind when you need to hurry and act before the villain runs away. Not that she didn't run away in the end, but backup wouldn't have stopped her either. And aren't these Headquarters guys ever going back home or do they just sleep there?

Wednesday, February 9

I texted Alejandro a couple of times today to check on him. The second time, he replied that it was all very nice, but Cleo had already sent him 3 messages and if we wanted our phones to remain in one piece, we should consider cutting down on the spamming.

Friday, February 11

We went back on patrol tonight. Butterfly and I were still a little worried about Stronghold, but he insisted that he was fine, and we didn't want to drive him crazy with our concern. It was a calm night, anyway. Then, on my way back home, I saw Nightghost on his favourite rooftop and joined him.

"Hey, how are you doing? I heard that The Hawks had a run-in with Darkthread."

"Oh, great… does everybody know about it?" I asked, a little irritated.

"No, don't worry. It's just that we were at the Headquarters yesterday and people were talking about it. You did well for a team with little experience."

"No, we didn't do well. And I suppose Thinblade was there too. I'm going to hear about that for the rest of my life now."

"Come on, he's not that bad! And with time, you'll learn to deal with the fact that you can't win all your fights," he said with an encouraging tone.

"Maybe. Well, you should know, you're the one with all the experience. How is it to have been a superhero for so long?"

"For so long?" he repeated with a laugh. "I wouldn't say that, it's only been a little more than two years. It's not much compared to others." He stopped for a while and looked at the city ahead of us. "There are victories, there are defeats, and sometimes, even if you win, you're still disappointed by the things that mankind can do. But you just keep hope and try to make things better…" He paused again and looked back to me with a smile. "And sometimes, things happen that are everything but a disappointment."
Original Fic: Diary Of A Superhero: Chapter 4

Thanks for the reviews. I hope you'll like the new chapter! ^_^

Title: Diary Of A Superhero: Chapter 4
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 1958; 8292 so far
Summary: Life can get complicated when you have to juggle between going to high school, being a superhero and getting a boyfriend.

Friday, December 31

Today, I went to the music shop with Jim. We both love rock and we usually go together to listen to the new CDs and do some shopping. And with the money we got for Christmas, we could buy more than usual. I bought 3 CDs, including one by a whole new band who sounds awesome, and Jim bought 4. We never buy the same ones, as we borrow from each other all the time.

I'm not tired any more, but I feel empty without my powers. Everyone told me that they would come back soon, but what if they don't? What if these people have used a new drug and I never recover? This freaks me out! My powers are part of who I am, I don't want to lose them.

Saturday, January 1, 2033

Happy New Year! It's past midnight, so that's it, we're in 2033. I hope it'll be another good year. My resolution is to be a great superhero, but it's not like I need a new year for that.

Now, if my powers would be kind enough to come back, that would be perfect!

Sunday, January 2

My body tickles. Now that I think about it, it tickled from time to time when I was younger and my powers started to appear. That probably means that my electrical balance is wrong, or something like that. I can hardly ask a doctor about it. Anyway, I hope it's a good sign and that my powers will be back soon.

Wednesday, January 5

Finally! I threw some electricity today. I may or may not have accidentally burnt the toaster with a stray arc. I can't help it if my power is erratic. Hopefully, it'll sort itself out soon, because it's annoying not to have full control. At least, it's better than nothing at all… except for the poor toaster.

Saturday, January 8

I met Cleo and Alejandro at the Headquarters. They suggested that we only train a little, considering my powers are still acting weird. I could see they were worried about me, but I feel better now. Actually, I used my powers a lot today, and I think that helped them stabilise. But I was careful to stay away from the team. I wouldn't want to electrocute them inadvertently.

And in the evening, I went to see "The Silver Chain" with Jim and Madison. It was a good movie. Nothing exceptional, but it was nice. Madison liked it more than the other movies we usually drag her to see. Probably because it had less action and more plot. I like action.

Wednesday, January 12

I think I can consider that my powers are back to normal. It's high time, I was going crazy! I chatted with Cleo today at school and discreetly told her about it. She was relieved too, she's so nice. We'll probably be back to patrolling this weekend. I've missed that! Except the part where I get abducted by mad scientists. I can definitely do without that part!

The Spanish class was good. I always like it, but it was really interesting today. We analysed a long text without focusing on grammar rules or things like that. I don't mind grammar. Actually, I'm one of the only people who don't mind it. But it's nice to study a bit of literature from time to time.

Saturday, January 15

Since my powers are behaving now, The Hawks are back in action! I was patrolling with Stronghold and Butterfly when we heard some fire trucks passing close by. Stronghold and I followed them as best as we could, considering we were going from building to building with our hooks. Butterfly went ahead of us, of course. We soon arrived at a building where one of the flats was on fire. The firemen were on the road with a couple screaming that their daughter was stuck in her bedroom. The man had a young boy crying in his arms.

Butterfly flew to the building and looked through the three windows of the flat on fire. Then, she came back and told us that the third one was the girl's room. She asked Stronghold if he could break the window without getting injured. He said that he could, but if the girl was too close to the window, she could get hurt, so it was better to break another one. She carried him to the second window, and I know that must have been difficult for her, but from where I was, it didn't look like that at all. She totally rocked on that one!

Stronghold then proceeded to break the window and Butterfly flew inside the flat. I held my breath, worrying for her and for the kid. She reappeared a minute after, blackened by the soot, but with the little girl in her arms. She flew to the ground and gave her to her mother, who was crying and thanking her, but Butterfly had already left to get Stronghold back. He had stayed on the window ledge during the whole rescue, so there was only a little soot on his cheeks, but he probably wouldn't have liked to remain there longer than necessary.

Butterfly told us that the girl had been calling for her parents and had seemed afraid of her. But then, she had smiled at the kid and told her: "Hello, little one! I'm Butterfly from The Hawks. Your Mum sent me to help you. Do you like flying?" and the girl had become really excited. It looks like Cleo knows how to talk to children. The kid also told her that her name was Lea and she answered that it was a pretty name. I'm sure that would have been adorable if there hadn't been a fire going on. Ah, girls!

Monday, January 17

Oh my God! They're talking about the fire in the newspaper! And this quote is awesome: "A new team of superheroes has saved the day! Lea, who was rescued by a mysterious flying woman, declared: 'She was a butterfly from The Hawks.' Whether this is the name of this new team or not is left to be determined, but we'll be sure to follow their work."

I texted Cleo and Alejandro about the article with my secured phone. I feel like a secret agent each time I use it, it's so strange.

Wednesday, January 19

We're quite busy these days. Tonight, we were called by the Headquarters to take care of a suspicious gang. I met with Stronghold and Butterfly on the roof of a building close to the place where we were supposed to go and we headed there together. There were only a dozen people and I practically stunned them all by myself. Afterwards, Stronghold told me to cool down. I hadn't realised but I didn't exactly go soft on these guys. I guess I'm still scared by what happened last time we were in a similar situation and I reacted accordingly.

Thursday, January 20

I got the same mark as Sean! I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever beat him in Maths, but at least, that's an improvement. Not that he seemed concerned about it, mind you. But Madison congratulated me and Jim added that he was sure I'd beat him next time.

Now, I'm going to watch TV. I think I've deserved it. There are a couple of good movies and some sports on tonight, or maybe I could just watch a series on the cable. I prefer following all the episodes, but if I find something good, I can always get the whole series later.

Friday, January 21

My mother made her famous apple pie. Nothing to do with what you can buy at the supermarket. Nope! It's home-made and absolutely delicious. We practically ate all of it, but I have a slice left for tomorrow morning. I love breakfast, and that way, it's going to be even better.

Then, I'll go training with Cleo and Alejandro. Cleo looks like she flies faster than before. We didn't time her, so it might just be an impression, but I don't think it is. And we'll probably go patrolling afterwards.

Saturday, January 22

During our patrol, we ran into The Wizards. We ended up on the same rooftop and started arguing. If you think about it, it all sounds pretty surrealistic. But it's not my fault if Thinblade is a jerk.

"Good job saving the little girl, Butterfly! We saw the comments in the newspapers. At least there's someone useful in this team!" he added while looking at me.

"What do you mean by that? I don't remember you being any useful when we were trapped in that cell."

"Maybe if you had been more efficient during the initial fight, none of us would have ended up there in the first place," he retorted.

"And again, if you're so good, why didn't you do something during that fight?"

"Are you just going to repeat what I say? That's so original!"

"Is this discussion really necessary?" Stronghold objected. "There's no one to blame here. None of us could do anything."

"Exactly!" Nightghost added. "Can't you just leave him alone, Thinblade? He didn't do anything wrong. And we didn't have our powers back there, so what else could he have done?"

At that point, Nightghost started to walk towards me. I wondered what he was going to do and took a step backwards. He grabbed me by the arm and took me as far from the others as the size of the roof permitted.

"Are you all right?" he asked me.

"I'm not afraid of your stupid leader!" I replied vehemently.

He sighed. "I'm not talking about Thinblade. I know he can be childish from time to time, and especially with you, for whatever reason. But I was talking about your powers. Is everything fine?"

"Yes, they're back to normal. But it took some time. And at first, I couldn't control them well. It was quite a mess, I even burnt a toaster."

He laughed softly: "Hey, that could have been worse. But I see what you mean, it was the same for me. And for Thinblade. I guess that at least gives him an excuse for behaving like that, he's not used to being powerless. But he shouldn't have taken it all out on you, you're not responsible for what happened. Anyway, it was a little difficult to adjust when my powers came back. That's why I wanted to check if you were all right."

"Thanks. I appreciate your concern." And it was true. I felt strangely moved by the attention. "It wasn't easy to deal with, but I'm fine now."

"I'm glad to hear that," he said while rubbing my shoulder reassuringly. "Well, I guess I should go. My team seems to be leaving."

"Yes, and from the little I could hear from here, Butterfly seems to have spoken her mind to Thinblade," I added with a laugh.

"Quite loudly, yes. But that can only do him some good."

"Aren't you supposed to defend your own team?"

"Well, yes, of course, but we're all on the same side, aren't we?"

He ran and jumped from the roof before I could even answer. Butterfly and Stronghold joined me right after.

"If you want, I can tell that one off next time we meet them," Butterfly offered.

"No, thanks, it won't be necessary."

"I'm not sure it was necessary to argue with Thinblade either," Alejandro added. "It probably only made things worse."

"Well, I wasn't going to let him insult our Thunderskin! He's just jealous of our awesome powers, anyway," Butterfly replied with a smirk.

I love my team, they're so cool!
The Chronicles Of Narnia: Dating Rule Number 1: Choose Your Movie Wisely

For those of you who haven't seen Prince Caspian yet, go see it! It's awesome. And the fandom is so much fun. I gave in to the crack and wrote Narnia RPS. Enjoy! ^__^

Title: Dating Rule Number 1: Choose Your Movie Wisely
Pairing: William/Skandar
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 1098
Summary: William and Skandar go to the movies. It doesn't turn out the way Skandar expected.
Disclaimer: The Narnia actors own themselves. Angelina belongs to Brad.

Skandar had it all figured out. They would go see a movie. They would have dinner in a fancy restaurant. Will would take him home. They would kiss. They would become boyfriends. They would have sex. Well, maybe not on the same night for that last part, but apart from that, it was pretty much the plan.

So he phoned his friend to invite him: "Hey, Will, do you want to go see a movie with me tonight?"

"Sure, as long as it's not Prince Caspian! Seriously, I love the movie, but if I have to see it one more time this month, I think I'm going to explode! Did you have something in mind?"

Skandar smiled. It wouldn't bother him to see their movie again, but it wouldn't fit with the goal of the evening. Watching Will and himself play brothers wasn't exactly what he had in mind for the perfect date.

"Not really," Skandar answered. "But there are a couple of new action movies this week, so…"

"Oh, yes," Will cut him, "I thought of going to see Wanted."

"All right," Skandar answered with a grin, "meet me at my house tonight and we'll go together."

The trailer hadn't really appealed to Skandar, but as long as it made Will happy, that was what mattered. A happy Will was an easy-to-win-over Will, or at least he hoped so.

The movie was surprisingly better than what Skandar expected. But then, he asked Will what he had thought of it and that was when it all went downhill.

"That was great!" Will answered excitedly. "I really enjoyed it. And Angelina Jolie is so hot! God! It's whenever she wants!"

Skandar remained speechless. He had been so sure that Will was gay, and more than that, that there was something between the two of them. The jokes, the hugs, the smiles, the little touches… He had thought they meant something. But no, Will was your regular young man who wanted to have sex with the first pair of boobs that happened to be nearby.

During their dinner, in a pizzeria of all places, Will kept talking about the movie and Fox and what an awesome character she was. Skandar tried to chat and joke with Will as usual, but he just couldn't focus on the conversation. His mind wasn't in it, he felt so disappointed. He should probably never have had such high hopes. Now the fall was really harsh.

When Will took Skandar home and wished him good night, Skandar answered him with a forced smile, thinking that in a different world, this could have been his chance.

They met again one week after, during yet another promotion party. Skandar had moped during the whole week and had decided that it was high time to be cheerful again. But it was impossible to keep his resolve once he spotted Will in the crowd. Especially since the young man seemed determined to talk with all the pretty women of the party. Skandar just remained alone in a corner of the room.

After half an hour, Anna came to chat with him: "Hey, Skan, you don't look like yourself tonight. What's wrong?"

"Nothing," he answered quickly.

"Come on, you know you can talk to me. You look really down," she added with a concerned look.

"It's nothing important."

"Nothing important or nothing you want to talk about?"

"The latter, so there's no need to insist!" Skandar wished she would just leave him alone, but knowing Anna, that was very unlikely.

"Is it about Will?"

"What? Why are you saying that? Why would it be about Will?"

"Because it's always about Will," Anna answered with a knowing smile. She was so annoying with her perceptiveness.

"Okay, maybe it's about Will. So what?"

"What did he do?"

"He didn't do anything."

"Well, he had to, considering your bad mood. Or is it something he said?"

"You're not going to stop bugging me, are you?" Skandar asked, almost ready to give in.

"No, I'm not. You know me better than that."

"You see, I am… sort of… in love with Will." Skandar stopped there, waiting for Anna's answer.

"And?" she asked after a moment.

"Aren't you supposed to be surprised at that part?" Skandar replied.

"Well, no, you two can't even stop touching each other for more than 30 seconds when you're doing an interview, let alone the rest of the time, so I'd say it's all pretty obvious."

Skandar sighed. "Actually, that's what I was thinking so far. But I was wrong. Will is straight."

"What?" Anna exclaimed, looking shocked for the first time. "Did he actually tell you that?"

"No, but he was drooling over this actress, and he even mentioned that he wanted her in his bed."

"Maybe he said that to impress you, because he didn't want you to think he was gay, or for some other silly reason like that," Anna suggested.

"No, I could tell he was serious about it."

"I'm so sorry, Skandar. I just hope you're wrong. It doesn't make any sense. And who is that woman, anyway?"

"Angelina Jolie," Skandar replied with contempt.

Anna looked at him and giggled. She giggled! Skandar couldn't believe it! The nerve of that girl! "I don't see what's so funny!" he said with a pout.

"Oh, Skan, sugar, you don't need to worry. Will's gayness is safe. Angelina Jolie just transcends sexual orientation. I want to have sex with her too."

Skandar stared at Anna as if she had turned crazy: "You want to have sex with Angelina Jolie?"

"Well, yes. Everybody does! You don't want to?"

"No, thank you, I'll stick to William Moseley."

Anna looked at him dubiously.

"Well, okay, maybe I wouldn't mind. As long as she stays far away from Will," Skandar conceded.

Anna smiled, proud of her: "See, it wasn't that difficult to admit. Oh, look who's coming."

Skandar turned around and saw Will and Georgie approaching.

"Hey, you two, what are you doing, hiding in a corner like that?" the young actress asked.

"We were resting. But we're leaving now," Anna answered, taking Georgie by the arm and leading her away from the boys.

"I've barely seen you tonight. Are you avoiding me or something?" Will asked with a laugh.

"Not anymore," Skandar answered.

He threw himself at Will's neck and started to snog him madly. Will needed a few seconds to realise what was happening, but then he kissed him back with as much passion and desire, and all was well in Skandar's world.

The Guardian journalist couldn't believe his luck.
Wanted

Today I went to see Wanted. ^__^

What I thought before seeing it: This movie looks ridiculously plotless. But who cares? I'm only going to drool over Angelina Jolie, anyway.

What I thought after seeing it: It was pretty cool. The soundtrack rocked. There was actually some kind of plot. I had no idea Marc Warren was in it, I squeed when I saw him. ^^ And OMG, how can Angelina be so hot? *drowns in a puddle of drool*

Original Fic: Diary Of A Superhero: Chapter 3

Thanks for the reviews. Enjoy the new chapter! ^_^

Title: Diary Of A Superhero: Chapter 3
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 2318; 6334 so far
Summary: Life can get complicated when you have to juggle between going to high school, being a superhero and getting a boyfriend.

Saturday, December 11

Earlier today, I met Cleo and Alejandro at the Headquarters. We trained as usual and then we decided to patrol tonight. For now, I'm back home doing my homework. Well, obviously, I'm taking a quick break to write in here. But before that, I was doing some Spanish grammar exercises. I like learning Spanish, it's fun.

Sunday, December 12

We went patrolling last night, but nothing happened. Argh, I make it sound like it's a bad thing. It's good that crime is not omnipresent. And that can count as more practice with the grappling hook of Doom. I'm not half bad now, but I'm sure I can still do better than that.

Friday, December 17

Our Chemistry teacher is crazy. We did this practical to create soap and he was all happy with the results, congratulating us for our work. It's true that it took some time to do, but even following the instructions closely, none of us managed to create something that remotely resembled soap. I wouldn't use this stuff to wash my hands, and honestly, it would probably crumble before I started rubbing. A chance I don't intend to work in cosmetics.

On a side note, Sean's soap looked worse than mine. I think it could even be defined as shapeless.

Saturday, December 18

It feels so good being on holidays! Yay! And Christmas is coming soon!

I went to the Headquarters to train with Alejandro and Cleo, but we decided to keep it short. Afterwards, we went for a walk in the city, but just as ourselves, not as The Hawks, in order to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere. It was a really nice team bonding moment.

Wednesday, December 22

Jim, Madison and I went to the ice rink. I can't believe it was our first time skating this winter. Usually, we start going at the beginning of November. I think we're more busy with school this year, and I'm obviously more busy with other things too, but we always have a lot of fun there. We'll have to try and go more often from now on. Jim's really good at skating. He can even skate backwards. That's impressive!

And after that, we bought some roasted chestnuts to warm ourselves from all this ice. They were delicious. I love chestnuts!

Saturday, December 25

It's Christmas! No Headquarters today, it's family meal time! With lots of presents! Okay, I'm a big boy, so I mostly get money and chocolates now. But money and chocolates are great! And my uncle offered me a video game. He's younger than my mother and knows my tastes well, even though I only see him a few times a year. I'm really enjoying myself!

Wednesday, December 29

I've just lived the worst days of my life! All I want right now is to go to sleep in my wonderful bed, but I'm still a bundle of nerves, so for now I'll just write about what happened. The Headquarters contacted us Monday night. God, it feels like it was a week ago! Someone reported that some suspicious activities were going on in a close neighbourhood and they wanted us to go and see what was happening.

When we arrived there, we saw a gang of about 20 people. They were looking at some jewels, discussing prices. We decided to attack them to knock them out before calling the police. Butterfly stayed behind and Stronghold and I started fighting them. I had already stunned a couple of them when The Wizards arrived. It wasn't likely that they had received similar orders, so they were probably just patrolling in the area. I was a bit annoyed, but that was certainly not the time to argue with them, and maybe they could help us settle this more quickly.

That's when Nightghost screamed. We all looked at him and saw that he had been shot in the calf, but not by a bullet. It looked like a small syringe and it contained drugs, because Nightghost collapsed a few seconds after. And at that moment, I panicked. I completely panicked. I had no idea what to do. I just stayed there, and that could have lasted a long time if Thinblade hadn't started shouting: "Run! It's a trap! Go away!" I turned around and saw three men in full black gear, holding tranquilliser guns. Thinblade was still shouting orders, and I saw Eyeblink disappear in a flash and Butterfly flying away, and I started to run. But not very far. I felt the shot in my back and darkness invaded my vision little by little, for an excruciatingly long time, even though I know it must only have lasted a few seconds. And then, there was nothing.

I woke up with a pounding headache. I tried to open my eyes, but everything was blurry and there was too much light. I closed them back and focused on sounds. People were talking close to me but I couldn't make out what they were saying. Then, I felt a cold hand on my forehead and it made me feel a bit better while I started fully waking up. It took much longer than I would have liked.

When I was finally awake, it turned out that I was with Thinblade and Nightghost. I hadn't seen what had happened to Stronghold, so I hoped he had managed to escape. We were in a small room with no furniture apart from tatami on the floor. There were openings in the walls, but they were too high and too narrow to be of any use, and there were bars outside at that. The door looked solid, but there was a small part that could be opened separately, probably to give us some food.

"Well, that wouldn't be easy to get out of here for normal people, but whoever these guys are, they overlooked something. We have powers and Nightghost can get out of here in a second!" I said with a grin.

"You always think you're more clever than everyone else, don't you?"

"Thinblade! I don't think this is the right time for that," Nightghost protested. Then, he looked at me: "I know you're from The Hawks, but what's your name?"

"I'm Thunderskin, and the other two are Stronghold and Butterfly."

"Well, Thunderskin, we've got a problem here. I don't know what they used on us, but it was strong, and I can't use my powers yet. And they'll probably drug us again by the time they start reappearing. These people clearly knew what they were doing."

Of course, I had to try my powers, because even if someone tells you that you can't use them, they're part of you, you can't just give up without trying. But just like Nightghost's, my powers didn't work. Welcome to Hell!

And now, I think I'm just going to bed because I can't keep my eyes open. I'll write the rest tomorrow.

Thursday, December 30

So, I was at the part where we had been kidnapped by strangers and we were stuck in a cell without powers to get outside. Lovely!

"Do you have any idea of who did that?" I asked The Wizards.

"No," Nightghost answered. "We were talking about it before you wake up and our guess is that they're scientists, but it could be the military or something else entirely."

"Why scientists? All we've seen was these armed guys."

For once, Thinblade gave me an actual answer instead of criticising me. "It was a trap. The gang had to be there as bait. This already happened to The Hunters before."

"I've never heard of that before."

"It was covered up. It's not like they're going to advertise that they were attacked. They were missing for two weeks before they were found by another team. Their kidnappers were taking their blood every few days in order to study their genetic material."

I would have asked more questions, but then, some food was passed through the opening in the door. We got sandwiches and plastic water bottles. Actually, that's what we got all the times they gave us food. No knives, no forks, no spoons. Well, I don't know what we could have done with spoons anyway. At least, they didn't let us starve, but I guess that could have hindered the tests they intended to do.

I sat against a wall to start eating, and Thinblade and Nightghost sat together on the opposite side of the cell. They were whispering to each other from time to time, but they didn't talk to me again after that. I would never have thought that being kidnapped would be that boring. Shouldn't it be at least a little exciting? And being bored to no end certainly didn't help me be in a cheerful mood. I was getting more and more worried, but I didn't say anything because I didn't want to look weak. I'm a superhero, dammit!

Still, maybe Nightghost noticed something because he came to sit next to me later that day: "Hey! How are you feeling? I know you're not very experienced with all that stuff, so it must be hard for you."

"Of course not!" I answered.

He looked at me with piercing blue eyes, showing me that he didn't believe me.

"Okay, I might be a bit afraid. And I'm worried about my parents. What are they going to think? That I ran away from home? That I'm dead?"

"Don't worry about your parents. The Headquarters will take care of that. If your parents don't know about your activities, someone will call them, pretending that they are the mother of one of your friends and that you will stay with them for a few days. They may not appreciate the short notice, but it's better than nothing. Maybe you'll get less money this month and, if you like going to parties, you'll be forbidden to go to one, and that's all."

He almost managed to make me laugh: "Who doesn't like going to parties, anyway?"

"Well, it's never been my thing," Nightghost replied.

"Oh! So you've just been stuck with less pocket money?"

"I've never had that problem either. My parents know about my powers, so they're entitled to basic information from the Headquarters."

"Nightghost," Thinblade cut him, "you're not supposed to communicate personal information to other teams. It could be dangerous. Especially here. You don't know if there are microphones in this place."

"You're right. But if they wanted to know our identities, they wouldn't have left us our costumes. They only took our phones, they don't care what we do in our thrilling student lives. So it's fine if I chat a little with Thunderskin, isn't it?"

"Do what you want, I guess it's okay if it's with him."

So, to my surprise, Nightghost started telling me his story: "My parents know about me. I didn't do it on purpose. When I was younger, I tripped and fell through the wall into the next room. I reacted by instinct. Now I would be able to stop my power if I were in public, but at the time, I didn't have that much control and they saw me. From there, once I became part of The Wizards, it wasn't too difficult for them to draw conclusions. Plus, they could see that sometimes I wasn't in my room at night."

"And they don't worry too much? I could never tell my parents!" I exclaimed.

"I guess they do, but we usually avoid the subject. At least they can get a little information on my situation in case of a problem."

"I hope we can get out of here soon," I said with a little voice.

"Don't lose hope! The Headquarters will send someone to find us and get us out of here."

It shouldn't have been reassuring, because it wasn't really based on anything, but it still was, maybe because Nightghost had much more experience than I did.

We chatted from time to time during the rest of the day, and then went to sleep early. The drugs were still active, as proved by our lack of powers, and we were all exhausted. The following day was even more boring than the first one, which wasn't good for my level of hope. I fell asleep at the beginning of the afternoon.

I woke up with a start when the door burst open. The Invincible was there, in his vivid green costume, his blue cape and his blue mask. If someone can wear vivid colours, that's him! He doesn't need discretion. Just like wasps have yellow on their bodies to warn predators that they're more dangerous than they look like, The Invincible is probably the most powerful superhero in North City.

When we got out of the cell, we saw scientists and guards all tied down in a laboratory. The Invincible gave us our phones back and called the police. Then, he accompanied us to the Headquarters for a debriefing. Stronghold and Butterfly were there, as well as Eyeblink. Butterfly gave me a big hug and told me how much she and Stronghold had been worried. It felt good being with friends, especially since they were the only two people I could tell what had happened. Afterwards, Butterfly gave me another hug and Stronghold patted my shoulder to show his support.

It was less fun going home, apart from the idea of finally collapsing on my warm, warm bed. My parents were not too happy about my sudden disappearance, even though someone had indeed called them. Apparently, I was supposed to have been asleep when the person had called, but they didn't understand why I hadn't at least called them later. Fortunately, they left me alone after five minutes, and I wasn't even punished. Maybe they consider I'm too old for that. And now, it's time for another good long night.
Shadows Return

I've finished reading Shadows Return.

1. WTF with 300 pages of slavery and torture and not even knowing if the other one is still alive somewhere?!!!

Hurt makes good comfort, but this is way past my limits. What came after was good, but I would have enjoyed it more after only 100 pages of that stuff. Here, I was just too appalled to react.

And Alec's death, even though obviously momentary, angered me. After 300 pages of horrors, he clearly didn't need that! *huggles Alec*

2. Ilar: I knew that was one of the pending issues with Alec's prophecy, but I totally didn't see it coming. I thought that Zoriel was the one loyal to Yhakobin and that Khenir was a friend. Rhania rocked, by the way.

Ilar is as much of a bastard as Yhakobin, but just like Seregil, I can't really hate him. Though I find him extremely annoying when he keeps hitting on Seregil and on Alec. They can have a threesome with Micum if they want to, and Ilar can just go the fuck away! Well, that's what he did, anyway.

3. Sebrahn: Finally, something good to say! I love the little guy. *pokes Seregil for distrusting him and being jealous*

And look, blue_phlox drew a gorgeous Sebrahn fanart.

I'm looking forward to what he'll do in The White Road. And hopefully I'll love that book as much as the first three.

Hancock + Prince Caspian

Yesterday, I went to see Hancock. It was lots of fun and the mythology was cool! ^__^ Will Smith looks sexy in a black leather costume. And there were a couple of ghei moments. XD

And this morning, I went back to see Prince Caspian. Yes, I know, I'm weak… But I couldn't resist, it's so mind-blowing, especially Edmund. And the fandom is made of awesome! Half the fics are RPS, it's incredible, I've never seen that before. Well, when you watch the interviews, you know where it all comes from. ^^ I've never been particularly interested in RPS before, but the crack is just perfect, I love it. XD

Also, have a fic rec: The Symbolic Significance Behind Ordinary Things, or Why Georgie's Dares are the Best Ever, No, Seriously by moonythestrals: Will/Skan, Truth or Dare, wherein Anna may or may not be reading The Two Towers.

Natsume Yuujin-Chou

I've just seen the first episode of Natsume Yuujin-Chou (Le Pacte des Youkai in France). It's the story of a boy who can see youkai and decides to free those who were bound by his grandmother.

Natsume is a pretty, pretty thing, and all the youkai think he's a girl because they remember his grandmother. XD He's voiced by Kamiya Hiroshi (Tieria Erde in Gundam 00). ^_^ Nyanko-san is a fortune cat whose original form is also very pretty. He's voiced by Inoue Kazuhiko. ♥ And Ishida Akira is in the cast too. ^^

You can download episode 1 here.

Nabari no Ou 14

You know when I mentioned that Junjou Romantica and Vampire Knight were my favourite anime of the new season. Well, things have changed and Nabari no Ou has clearly beaten Vampire Knight in my heart with the wonder that is Yoite/Miharu. ♥ (I like Yukimi/Yoite too.)

OMG, IT TURNED CANON! \o/

Or am I reading too much into it? I'm sure fanboys won't see it like that. XD But I've checked and the mangaka is a woman and it all makes sense now! ^^

Yoite touched Miharu's cheek and Miharu RUBBED in the touch and then hugged him and started thinking about his "feelings" (actual quote) for Yoite for a whole minute! ♥

No spoilers if you have read the manga, thank you!

Original Fic: Diary Of A Superhero: Chapter 2

Thanks for the reviews on Chapter 1. Here's the new part. ^_^

Title: Diary Of A Superhero: Chapter 2
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 1970; 4016 so far
Summary: Life can get complicated when you have to juggle between going to high school, being a superhero and getting a boyfriend.

Monday, November 8

A new restaurant has just opened next to our school. It's a Chinese all-you-can-eat. Of course we had to go and try it at once. I ended up eating 3 full plates, not counting the desserts. Maybe that wasn't such a good idea, because I was all sleepy during my History class. Not that I'm overly thrilled by it in other circumstances, far from it, but that didn't help. A nap would have been much welcome.

I don't think Jim was in a better condition, since he ate almost as much, though his last plate was half full. Only Madison was reasonable. Well, guys need their energy, and using my power tends to make me hungry.

Saturday, November 13

I'm so happy! Today was costume fitting session! They made some small changes to adjust them, and now they're perfect. They're not exactly the way I imagined, but it's not like I know precisely what I imagined, anyway. And now, we've got the real thing! I think we all look classy in them. And sexy, of course, but that goes without saying. And it brings out Alejandro's muscles.

We were also given secured mobile phones and grappling hooks. This will need some practice… Alejandro and I tried using them in the backyard of the Headquarters and the results were not stellar. Cleo wanted to try too, just in case she can't use her powers one day, she said. I think she took pity on us and wanted to share our training. I hope she doesn't lose her powers when she's in need of them because she wasn't really efficient with that evil thing either.

Tuesday, November 16

There's a couple in our class… I'm not amused. They keep kissing all day long, it's so annoying. Can't they keep the action to a minimum? Oh, well, they'll probably break up within a month.

Thursday, November 18

Yesterday, we were contacted for our first mission! Woohoo! There was a new gang in town attacking people and small shops. Since the police didn't have any evidence, they couldn't act, so the Headquarters sent us. We didn't know where they would operate, but with Butterfly flying over the neighbourhood, we didn't have difficulty finding some of them and trailing them to the rest of the gang.

They were about 30 people, but of course we were at an advantage with our powers. Stronghold fought a lot of them by himself. At first, I avoided using my electricity, since I didn't want to hurt him in the process. So I fought with my fists and I think I did well enough. Butterfly got two of them by dropping flower pots on their heads. That was priceless! And as soon as the situation had cleared because Stronghold had already knocked senseless a dozen people, I started stunning the rest with my electricity. I was a bit afraid of losing control since there was so many of them, but nobody was killed.

We called the Headquarters and they contacted the police. We heard them arriving 10 minutes later and disappeared before they could see us. After that, we stayed together to chat about what had just happened. We were so excited, there was no way we could go home at once. Our very first mission! But when I came home an hour later, I was exhausted by the use of my power and all the excitement and I went straight to bed. Which is why I'm only writing this entry today.

Saturday, November 20

When we arrived at the Headquarters, we were congratulated for the success of our first mission. That was so cool! I feel like a hero! Well, we're official superheroes, so I guess that's normal.

Alejandro and I went back to our grappling training. He's practically mastered the damned thing. I'm not quite there yet. Cleo didn't try again, she just watched us and tried to give us some indications to improve ourselves. She also laughed at us, but not too much, so I forgive her. I'm such a nice guy.

Then, I came home early and my mother decided to drag me shopping. Argh! I hate it when she does that. My clothes are fine as they are, I don't need her "fashion" advice, especially considering her dubious taste.

Friday, November 26 (past midnight, but I'm still up, so it counts as Friday)

Jim, Madison and I went to a party at Clara's tonight. She often organises parties when her parents aren't home. I wonder what they think about it. There's no way they don't realise it because those are pretty big parties. They probably don't mind too much, though, or she wouldn't do it again. I don't know Clara well, but half the guests were probably in the same situation. Cleo was there too. Clara's in her class, so they know each other.

After some time, Jim was kind of drunk. I've got to be cautious with alcohol because I can't afford to lose control of my power. I guess it's the same for all of us, but at least Cleo wouldn't risk people's lives by getting drunk. Not that it's her style to drink too much. Anyway, Jim started dancing like crazy and it was kind of hot. It was of course much less fun when it was time to go home. I accompanied him to his place and his parents thanked me for helping him. He'll probably get a nice talking-to tomorrow morning. Poor Jim!

Saturday, November 27

I think I've found the trick with the grappling hook of Doom. Hopefully I don't look ridiculous using it now. Alejandro and I decided to practise on real buildings during the week. Not that the Headquarters aren't real, mind you, but we thought we'd try passing from building to building in the city. We'll probably go on Tuesday. Cleo said she'd come with us. She can always catch us if we miss, that's sort of reassuring.

Afterwards, we did some hand-to-hand combat. Even if we know the results ahead of time, it's never a bad idea to train.

Tuesday, November 30

Tonight, as planned, I met with the team to practise using the grappling hook of Doom. Stronghold now looks like he's done this for years. I'm not that good, but since I'm writing in this diary, that means I haven't broken my neck yet. And Butterfly didn't have to save us from a certain death, though she was flying next to us the whole time. We trained for an hour, with a couple of breaks that I really needed, contrary to Alejandro.

We were ready to call it a night when we spotted a fight and things got complicated. It was a dark alley behind a bank and we understood at once that a robbery was taking place. The suspects were fighting against The Wizards.

The Wizards are a team of young superheroes that appeared in North City two years ago. Their leader, Thinblade, sends gusts of wind that can cut through practically anything. The other two members are Eyeblink, who's fast as lightning, and Nightghost, who can pass through matter. They're all wearing black costumes with a long cape and a cowl. You couldn't recognise one from the other if they hadn't their initials written in white on their chests.

So, of course, we decided to help them. Stronghold knocked one of the robbers without difficulty and I was going to punch another when a third one took advantage of the distraction to get a gun out of his bag and fire at me. Eyeblink launched himself at me and we rolled on the ground, unhurt. But I had the fear of my life! Wow! After that, Thinblade sent my attacker flying against a wall with a powerful gust and destroyed the gun with a blade of wind. Nightghost got the last guy. He avoided all his punches by becoming intangible and finally knocked him down.

That's when Thinblade started to yell at me: "Are you crazy? You could have been killed! Who are you anyway?"

"We're The Hawks. We're a new team and…"

"Well, I can see that! You're a bunch of beginners, so you should just let the professionals do their jobs properly!"

"We only wanted to help," Butterfly intervened.

"We were doing just fine without you! Be more careful if you don't want to end up dead!"

"Last time I checked, nobody died!" Okay, I was still a bit under the shock, but I was certainly not going to let him talk to us like that.

"Well, not thanks to you anyway! Good job on that one, Eyeblink!"

"It's nothing," his teammate dismissed with a wave of the hand.

Then, Thinblade gave a quick call to the Headquarters about the robbers, but didn't mention us, and left without another word. Eyeblink followed him at once, but before leaving, Nightghost turned to us and said: "He has a weird way of showing it, but he just worries about you kids."

Well, I don't know if he worries or not, but I think Thinblade is just an arrogant bastard and that's all. Okay, we were far from perfect but we helped them as best as we could. I won't let that idiot underestimate The Hawks! We'll show him what we can do! And we're not kids, by the way!

Thursday, December 2

I so didn't need the result of that maths paper today. I'm still in a bad mood after what happened on Tuesday evening and I knew I didn't do that well on the test last week. I was stuck on the first problem for too long, and in the end I managed to solve it but I didn't finish the whole paper. So Sean Newton beat me once again!

Saturday, December 4

I saw the team at the Headquarters but I didn't feel as cheerful as usual. I don't know, winter must be taking its toll on me. Maybe I need some sun, it keeps raining these days. Cleo noticed it and asked me if I was fine. I told her that nothing was wrong and she gave me a big hug. Alejandro must have wondered what that was all about.

Monday, December 6

We watched a movie in History class. It was completely boring, as you can expect from this class, but at least it was better than taking notes. The teacher mentioned that there could be an analysis question about the movie in the next test, but I suspect it was just to keep us from chatting too much during the session and make us focus a little more on that "educational" movie. I hope I won't have forgotten anything by the time we get the paper, just in case he does include that question. I can always look it up on the Internet to get some additional information.

Wednesday, December 8

I think my mojo's back! We were contacted by the Headquarters to go patrolling in the shopping neighbourhood where a pickpocket was on the loose. Even with Butterfly's talents, that's not as easy to spot as a full gang. So we spent a few hours roaming the area. All the shops already have their Christmas decorations. I know, I'm supposed to be too old for that stuff, but it creates a great atmosphere.

Finally, Butterfly spotted the pickpocket in action. She alerted us and we started to run after him. Maybe I should consider jogging in the morning. Alejandro caught up with the thief long before I did and threw himself at him. It was easy for him to stop the guy and I didn't have to do anything, but all in all, it feels great that the mission was successful. Take that, Thinblade, we're not as useless as you think!
Antique Bakery + Slayers Revolution

The subs for 2 new anime were released tonight.

I've read Antique Bakery and found it quite boring, but as expected it works better as an anime. Yay for the chibis! And they've kept all the gheiness. :-)

Also, Ono is voiced by Miki Shinichirou and Eiji-kun by Miyano Mamoru. ^^

You can download episode 1 here.

----------

After more than ten years, Slayers is back with a new season: Slayers Revolution. ^_^

Xelloss! ♥ He wasn't in this episode and I can't wait to see him again. I think he was the first time I heard Ishida Akira. And there's also Midorikawa Hikaru who plays Zelgadis.

You can download episode 1 here.

I'm back with a multi-chapter story. Enjoy! ^_^

Title: Diary Of A Superhero: Chapter 1
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 2046
Summary: Life can get complicated when you have to juggle between going to high school, being a superhero and getting a boyfriend.

Saturday, September 18, 2032

My name is Zack Flint and I'm 17. I have short dark hair and my eyes are brown. I'm starting this diary because my shrink advised me to. No, I'm not crazy, that's not why I have a shrink. I don't even really have a shrink, actually. This is just common routine for new superheroes…

Okay, I bet I sound even more crazy now.

So, she gave me this notebook and told me that writing down my thoughts would help because my life could turn confusing very soon. I'm not sure that'll help at all. In fact, this sounds completely ridiculous. But I like writing, so I thought this could be fun. Yes, probably more fun than helpful.

Today was probably one of the most important days of my life. I went to the Headquarters to enrol. This building is impressive. I had already passed in front of it before, but I had never been inside. It is strictly reserved for superheroes. And now I'm part of them. Woohoo!

I've been able to control electricity since I was 13. Actually, I've had a power over electricity since I was 13 and I've been able to control it (almost) properly since I was 15. But that's just a minor detail. Okay, maybe the headmaster wouldn't have said that after the school had to be shut down for two days when my power misbehaved. Some cables melted and nothing worked any more. But nobody knows it was my fault, so it's fine.

The Headquarters said that my power would be very useful. They'll contact me as soon as they find me some partners. Apparently, it won't take too long since they have several people on the waiting list, so hopefully some of them will have powers complementing mine and we'll form a good team. This is all so exciting!

Wednesday, September 22

No news from the Headquarters. I'm so impatient to meet my partners.

Jim, Madison and I skipped the school meal and went to have lunch outside. Who'd want to eat food there every day? It's eatable, but not much more than that. Anyway, we've been talking of going to the movies on Saturday. We're in the same class and we're hanging out quite a lot. It's cool.

Saturday, September 25

I haven't heard from the Headquarters yet. I'm getting fidgety. What if I have to wait for several months before t
