write a letter to Jeff Zucker, President and CEO of NBC/Universal expressing your opinions on why you support the WGA Strike.

If you don't know anything about the TV writer's strike, basically they're upset because major networks like NBC will replay television shows through the internet and those writers won't be paid for it. yet, during those internet streamings of the tv shows, there are paid advertisements.. and who gets the profits from internet views?? the company, (ex: NBC) NOT the writers.
it's ridiculous!

I think it's important to support each and every writer out there.

i love to write and i can't imagine being robbed of my work by some major network.

I figured I'd make a post & tell you all about my experience of meeting my favorite comedian, Dane Cook.

There was a ridiculous amount of traffic when we were driving to the show because of an overturned car on the highway near the Lake Mary Blvd. exit, so my sister and i had to take the back roads. There a lot of traffic through the back roads, too, but once we got to Altamonte it died down and we got to the Arena at 6:30 p.m.

The Meet and Greet was scheduled for 6:45 p.m and we got there right on time. We waited in the Meet/Greet Line and after standing there for like a half hour, it was finally our turn to meet Dane.

Let me start off by saying he was incredibly sweet. He took time with each and every one of the fans that were waiting to meet him and he thanked every single one of us for coming out to his show and showing our support. When it was my sisters turn to meet him, she handed him a drawing she had made of him and he liked it so much! She thought it didn't look like him, but he reassured her by saying: "I know it's me". haha.

Then my turn finally came. He said "What's Upppp?!" and i replied: "Oh my gosh, I love you!!!" and he laughed, smiled and said: " Come Here, Girl! Let's take a picture together!" & then we both held up our SuperFingers and took an unforgettable picture. He thanked us for coming & said he'd see us in a few minutes once the show started.

Let me just mention one thing.. he's left handed! Anyone who really knows me, knows that I have a thing for guys who are left handed. Or left handed people in general. Idk what it is but i love left handed people, haha. So, Dane being left handed is a huge plus!

The show started and it was HILARIOUS. He talked about everything, and told my all time favorite joke of his: the Athiest joke. He closed the show with it and got a standing ovation. I can't wait until he comes back so that I can see him again! It was such an unforgettable night.

i think i have a cold :( nose is stuffy, i keep sneezing, i'm absolutely freezing & my eyes are puffy. i think all signs point to a yes. i woke up at 4:30 am this morning to write a research proposal. gotta love college, right? i don't want to be sickie :( can i just get like a one week break from school/work/everything? please & thank you.

wow, it's definately been a while since i've posted on this thing ! i'm not about to update, so let's just state a few of the important recent/future events that are going to be taking place.

1. i'm in college ! :-) hard to believe, i thought i'd never get here when i was younger. it always seemed so far away, but it's happened ! i'm majoring in art education to become an art therapist, but that's going to change next semester... i want to major in journalism because i know writing/reporting is what i really want to do. i miss being on a staff and reporting on various topics, so maybe i'll just start my own magazine.. :-)

2. i'm going to attend 2 very fun events in the upcoming days/months. first, AST Dew Tour ! it's at the amway arena this friday and i am excited :-) sounds fun. & second, november 14th is Dane Cook performing live at the amway arena, and i've got meet & greet passes + front row seats. i can't express in words how excited i am !

well, that's all for now. i figured i'd do a mini-update on life since i haven't in years ! i never update, but i'm always on here to read my friends pages. i have work today, ugh :-(
