Warner Bros. Pictures today announced that it has moved back the release date of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" to Summer 2009. The sixth installment of the blockbuster Harry Potter franchise will now open day-and-date domestically and in the major international markets on July 17, 2009. The announcement was made by Alan Horn, President and Chief Operating Officer, Warner Bros.


Eight months? EIGHT? Really, WB? Is that necessary for a movie already in post-production?

WB is so full of shit. So much for their chances of redeeming themselves with this movie. And to think I was actually looking forward to it.

I heard they pushed the opening date of the theme park, too. As in... winter 2009 - summer 2010. Clearly more evidence that every part of the Harry Potter franchise except the part JKR is in control of FAILS AT LIFE.

Yeah, I saw that, but I don't think I'm going to Azkatraz so it's not much of a reassurance for me. I would much rather have tried to get tickets to the U.S. premiere and go with some of my college friends x_x

I'm still pissed about this. Did you read Twilight is now releasing their movie the day the HBP movie was SUPPOSED to come out? FUCKING RIDICULOUS. I was gonna go watch Twilight for the lulz but now I'm just downloading it. Not giving more money to that horrible Harry Potter wannabe franchise. Sorry, but that pissed me off more than anything else. Next thing I hear Stephenie Meyer wants her last book to be made into 2 movies. Oh wait, SHE ALREADY SAID THAT <.
