The lighter side of dark M&M's
Mars focuses on fun as it adds dark chocolate to its permanent M&M's collection.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- A new ad campaign launched by the owner of the M&M's brand aims to make eating dark chocolate a scream.
M&M's is offering 2 million dark chocolate M&M's for the return of "The Scream," a painting by Edvard Munch that was stolen from the Munch Museum in Oslo, Norway, in 2004.
The campaign accompanies the permanent addition of dark chocolate candies to the M&M's product line, which was announced earlier this month.
"We've received tremendous interest from consumers to make M&M's Dark Chocolate a permanent offering," Michele Kessler, vice president of marketing at Masterfoods USA, said in a statement.
Masterfoods USA owns the M&M's brand and is a part of closely held food manufacturer Mars, Inc.
The campaign aims to bring some fun into the dark chocolate category, which is perceived to be more serious, Masterfoods said.

Where: Some Gas Station in Tarlac
I took this on the way to Pangasinan for a barkada reunion (Kada '96 :P). We left Manila around 12MN and stopped by a gas station for a bathroom break around 530AM (of course with other multiple stops along the way). While the others were doing number 1 and number 2 I took out my trusty point and shoot cam and shot the sun rising. As usual, it didn't come out the way I expected it to, it came out better! Hehehehe. |

I think I took this photo in 2003 with a Canon A1. I just recently bought it from Jake the Jerk and was "interested" in taking up photography. Anyway, I had to lie down on the ground to take this shot and had fun adjusting the aperture and the shutter speed (there are actually multiple copies of this picture, one for each setting). I wish I could be more philosophical about what it represents but I'm just too lazy. All I can say is that I like how the colors blend together.
EDIT: I did want to say one last thing - U.P. FIGHT!!!!!! (hehehe..how often do we start off 3-0?) |

I remember taking this picture while my mom and sister were "trying" (it was some high class fashion store along this alley, so they didn't purchase anything :D ) to shop. To pass the time, I went outside and started clicking, acting artsy-fartsy with my point-and-shoot camera. Once the film was developed, it came out pretty well with the lone man in the center. It would have been nicer if I caught the cloud formations or the blue sky. Oh well, maybe next time... |

About a month ago I travelled to San Jose, Costa Rica for business. There I met Laura.
"Every once in a while I'd see her smile
And she'd turn my day around
A girl with those eyes
Could stare through the lies
And see what your heart was saying"
She was, as what the boss had said - a fun loving, spirited person.
"Think of Laura but laugh don't cry
I know she'd want it that way

She had recently moved into her new house, where I had the pleasure of dropping by and having a couple of drinks with a few other officemates. She was a very open and accomodating person and I had a great time conversing with her. Even when I came back to Manila, she'd buzz me up on our instant messaging tool and we'd have a short chat. That's how friendly she was.

Last Saturday, while swimming in a river with 3 other friends, Laura got caught in a flash flood. After 2 days of rescue operations, her body was found.

Our prayers are with you Laura. We know you are in a much better place now.
