Yule

so we had our Yule ritual the other night. I really enjoyed the company of everyone. we had 12 people in the first ever open circle of Prosperity which is also the first open circle in the 4-64AR. Before the ritual we all gathered for dinner, and we invited chaplin Harms to join us. (He is VERY mormon, and has been fighting us all the way, he even referd to us by our names as "Devil Worshipers" to someone in the DFAC.) but he wa kind enough to join us, al though I got the distinct impression he was praying for our souls the whole time. :P so anyway, other than the location, (a small room on the second floor of the tower farthest away from everything)it was beautiful. I will get the pics posted as soon as I get them.

so we just got one step closer to actually getting something together for Yule. we have a list of contacts, including the DFGL (Distinctive Faith Group Leader) at Camp Liberty, to help us cut through the red tape. and we came to the conclusion that army chaplin's names describe them. i.e. Cpt. Harms has been blocking us, Cpt. Churchwell has been helpful, and Maj. Blessing is willing to do anything to help us. i just find it funny. well i'll post info as i get it

So close...

So I was hanging with the guys and all of a sudden all hell breaks loose. at first we thought the check point by our fob was under attack. then we saw tracers flying up on the other side of the FOB. a few seconds later it looks like the whole FOB was under attack, tracers flying up in all directions, from everywhere, I wish I had a camera with me, it would be scary to someone not used to the sight. so everyone runs back to their rooms, thinking we were under attack. I go in trough on my vest and K-pot, grab my SAW and all the ammo I can carry, and waited for my team so we could go join the lines. so we're out there ready for battle, and Hen gets a call from someone who informs us that Iraq just won some big soccer game and the entire country was shooting in celebration. (like they do here) That pissed me off. I was all ready to fight, and it turns out there was no fight to join. I guess thats a good thing. the bad part is that in those couple minuets, I saw over 2000 rounds go into the air, and well, they have to come down somewhere. I only heard one land about 10ft from us, but man I WISH i had a vedio camera, everywhere I looked was a red wall of tracers going up. it was impresive to say the least. I guess this shows who the infantry are and who the poges are. the poges ran in to their rooms got all their shit on and stayed there, the infantry went to their rooms got their rooms and came out to help the fight. it was kinda funny. but all for a soccer game! there's still people shooting. I feel sorry for anyone on patrol right now. that has to be scarry, just imagine youre driving the streete are dead (everyone is watching the game but you don't know that) then suddenely every rooftop and yard starts shooting, I would think one thing. ambush. but man, just imagine thousands of people from every direction shooting at the same time. that would be some shit. but all is well now.

So they finally got RENT at the DVD store. I just finished watching it, and I have to say I loved it, there are a few thing that should have been done like they were on stage. Like the title song should have been left a face to face, and the burning eviction notices was a bit cliche. and I didn't like the way the did Tango Maureen. on the other hand I loved the montage for One Song Glory. And I agree with the masses who said they shouldn't have sold out for a PG-13 rating. as far as the actors, I really didn't like Idena Menzel(Maureen) she just didn't fit the part. All im all I give it 4.5 out of 5 rabid badgers

well i had a good nights sleep last night, my back was tweaking out and I was REALLY uptight and stressed out, so my good friend Jim gave me a muscle relaxant. or maybe it was a ruffe, I can't remember.... I was so out of it, apparently someone came by and gave me a list. this morning they asked if I had it so it could get posted, and I had no idea what they were talking about. I kept insisting they never gave me any list, and they kept saying they did. finally they told me to go look in my room for it, so I go back, and there it was on my night stand... I still don't remember getting up, opening the door, having a short conversation, taking the list, and going back to bed.

here's the sinerio:

to get into a certain area you need a certain item, there female A guarding this area making sure people entering area have certain item. guy B and female A dont like each other. so when guy B goes to enter, female A asks if he has certain item, he says yes. (this is normally accepted by her for anyone else) but she asks to see it, he is reluctant to show it, (because he doesn't want to be treated different just because they don't like each other) so he tells her "Kiss my ass" and walks off. keep in mind, he would have said that to anyone giving him the same shit, but because she hates him she files sexual harassment against him. even though she uses the same kind of language all the time.

the question:
who is in the right

my thoughts:
he should have just shown the item, she shouldn't have singled him out. all that aside i dont see how saying "kiss my ass" is sexual harassment in the context used. in my opinion, it's a matter of equal opportunity, I know I dont change the way I act around females, if they don't like the way I act, they can say it to my face just like anyone else, and I'll tell them to fuck off, just like anybody else.Females should accept that EO applies to them as well, in all aspects.

other facts:
I am not guy B
Female A is a slut and a bitch

What do you think?

i feel good, we just had a little platoon social event, just a little outdoor party, no reason just to relax. i was sitting by the fire, listing to my filk music, imagining my coke was an ale, just pure bliss, well i was in a state of almost meditation, staring at the fire. then i hear a mortar wizz by over head and hear the impact in the distance, so much for inner tranquility.

on other things, jim and i have declared ourselves Lycanthropitates, or the last of the mystical shape-shifting pirates of the north. our flag is still being developed, our working idea is a wolfs skull head on (excuse the pun) wearing an eye patch, with the crossed bones. i'll make it look cool.
