Okay, thanks to
cloudsovertokyo and
_pencil_ we have a somewhat clear plan!
The present will be a collection of
illustrated stories about Mai and/or Tom (e.g. "A day in Maiccho's life" kinds of things or something completely different.) On
paper, use whatever technique you like, as long as it isn't impossible to mail and won't get ruined during mailing.
I don't know much about his English skills, so I'd prefer if you didn't write a whole novel. And at least I don't know any Japanese, so that's not something to panic about.
English is fine, but if you know
Japanese well enough to use it and surely won't write something like "you are an idiot" by mistake, go ahead (Just kidding. I trust you.) Don't worry if you think that you can't draw, as long as it has lots of good thought, it's perfect. And then of course you can co-operate with someone if you find that easier ^^
A4 size at most. Make a cover for it to separate it from the other stories and add your name to the cover or the back of the story.
Of course it goes without saying, but keep the stories clean. Inappropriate stories will be left out bla bla bla.
I'll collect them all inside one folder to make it more book-like and then mail it. If it's okay with you, I'll post pictures in
electronmailman before mailing it (to get your consent at the same time.) If you don't want others to see your story, just remember to tell me. Your information won't be published.
So, if you want to participate, send me an
e-mail (usetheforce at luukku.com, title it 'Birthday project 'so that I can surely separate your message from spam >o>; ) and I'll give you the address where to send your story to and answer possible questions. (Of course I'll answer them here, too.)
Send me your story before
March 26th so that I'll have enough time to finish the project, post pics etc.
(Easter is in the beginning of April so there will be fewer working days, meaning that I will have to send it a couple of days earlier than usual to make sure that it will arrive in time.)
Was the obscure enough? Any questions? Good. Thank you. I'm looking forward to hearing from you! Let's work together for Mai!
