Introductions

Hello all, My name is Paul Atreides (or Muad'Dib), I am from Caladan, but moved to Arrakis, or Dune as the locals call it, at a very young age, and after House Harkonnan seized controld of the planet, killed my father and attempted to kill my mother and I, we fled into the deep desert and into the hands of the Fremen who thought I was the Mahdi ("the One who will lead us to paradise"), and I became mildly addicted to the spice melange which produced visions of the future.

There in the desert my sister was born, and after many years I was able to free Arrakis from the Harkonnan control, defeat Feyd-Rautha Harkonnan, and gain control of the Empire of the known universe. I have a political marriage, however my concubine Chani is so far the only person that I call wife.

My typist says that it's time to visit the town so I must bid farwell and wish that Shai-Hulud clear the path for you.
