I need to pull myself out of this rut.
I have a bad feeling about whats to come in the near future, and I don't like it. I'm not quite sure as to what it can be yet, but I know its coming. And its going to be huge and devastating, and even though I can't quite put a finger on what it is yet...I'm really not looking forward to it.

I was pretty stoked, I'm graduating from college in December... and I never have any idea what to tell people when they ask what to get me for presents, so I had a stroke of genius and made a Sephora gift registry! I got a little overexcited, haha, there's like over $1,500 worth of shit that I put on there, but whatever. I think everyone that's looked at it thinks I must be insane. But hey, I figure if I only get like 3 things I'll still be lucky as hell.
God, I wish I had more money to spend on makeup; I went to the local Sephora last week (got one of the new BareMinerals tutorial sets in Foiled Eye, and it comes with the BEST shadow brush I've ever used in my life) and spent $60 and it only got me like 2 things! Wtf. Oh, but here's my registry if you want to look at some of the sweet products I found after surfing the site for like 2 days; the special Too Faced collection sets and the new Kat Von D shadows?!? Fucking ace. I tried the Kat shadows on the other day... blend like a dream. But totally out of stock at the store and online! Horrible.
P.S. BareMinerals Buxom Lip Gloss = best plumping gloss ever. I highly recommend it.
Anyways, now that I've babbled on about makeup for 20 minutes, here's a couple looks from the weekend...

3. What makeup experience do you have, if any?I attended cosmetology school but dropped out because I was learning nothing and the people were awful. I also have taken the available theatrical make up classes at my college and I do freelance work for friends and whatnot.
4. What is your makeup style on a normal day? It entirely depends on my mood, but usually something bright and vibrant!
5. What is/are your favorite brand(s) of makeup?MAC,Too Faced, NARS, Urban Decay, and more. I'm always discovering more brands.

10. Who is your favorite professional makeup artist and why?I don't know if she is considered professional yet, but Shandra Jade, because her work is so vibrant!

i used to hang out with people in my hall just for the sake of hanging out with them, even though i don't really enjoy their company. i've stopped doing that, and now i only hang out with people i like. this means i sit in my room for several hours at a time, but actually, i feel really good about what i'm doing. i'm not forcing myself to be with people. i'm hella lucky that my roommate is chill. it just... feels awesome to not feel like i have to hang out with people, in a beggars-can't-be-choosers sort of way.
i would have been hanging out with some dudes from atheist club (i may refer to it as AAR sometimes, which stands for atheists, agnostics and rationalists), but their poker night is boys only tonight. laaaaaaame >:(.
oh, and i was hanging out with joe outside a coffee place and this pick-up artist comes by, except he was like, "hi i'm trying to get over my shyness, do you mind if i chat with you guys for a bit?" he did a lot of those games that tell you about your personality, like "choose an animal, now choose a second. the first animal is who you are and the second is your mate," and shit like that. he also did this hand one for which he took my hand, which was totally unnecessary, lolol. i didn't know that's what he was doing until he left and joe told me, but to be fair, he said he was bad at it. he was insulting me a lot, which i know totally works on girls, but i wasn't trying to be sexy or anything so it's not like it made me want to prove my appeal, it just made me kinda be like "haha okay."
basically, even though i'm not constantly hanging out with people and going to parties, college is good. partially because of the few but worthwhile people i'm meeting, and probably partially because of my own maturing, i'm guessing.

My sister opened an etsy store last week selling supplies for DIY projects-- mostly clothing. She's got some pretty awesome stuff so far and should be listing more this weekend. Its definitely worth taking a look :)
