On The Surface came together in Boston, MA during the summer of 2001. Since then the five-piece has been spreading their infectious music all across New England. Over the years they have developed a unique sound with dueling male/female vocals, synthesizers, and catchy hooks that have made them quite at home in the Powerpop genre. With On The Surface’s high-energy live performance, they have acquired a loyal fan base and a mailing list of over 5,000 recipients. Their second independent release was elected into the “Top Ten CD’s of 2003” by Worcester’s Wormtown Magazine and they were named “The Best Pop Act” for the Best of Worcester 2004 Awards.
Most Recently, On The Surface has shared the stage with Simple Plan, Switchfoot, Mae, Piebald, The Format, Zox, Blessid Union of Souls, Junction 18, Steel Train, Lucky Boys Confusion, The Matches, Plain White T’s, Action Action, The Street Dogs, and Avoid One Thing.
