I'm tired of my hair and want to do something different:

I'd like to do something with the color. If the color doesn't read well, it's a fairly dark blonde. Anyway, I've never done anything beyond light blonde highlights so I'd kind of like to try something different... I'm just unsure as to what would look good and don't want to screw myself over.
I'm also open to suggestions on style. However, I wore my hair pretty short for a number of years and have finally grown it out, so I don't want to chop too much off.

would any of you have pics of good cuts for thin hair? my hair is really thin up top and im ready to give up the notion that i can have good looking long layers. so yeah, if any of you have recommendations for a cut that will work with thin wavy hair post away pls!

I haven't cut my hair since last summer because I spend weeks on end looking for perfect hairstyles and wear them out until it makes me scream. I hate going to the hairstylest. It's like a nightmare and ends up a dream if it turns out well. Anyways, I'm starting college on September 2nd (although I want to do my hair before August) and I need something new. I'm nooottttttt going short, I've spent almost 2 years growing out my hair since I had a shaved mohawk in the 10th grade.
Maybe something...asymmetrical? Helllppp, plzzzzzz.

I need to start working my way back to blonde, the only problem is right now I'm somewhere in a red-orangey area. And I'm not quite sure HOW to get back to the blonde I want WITHOUT frying my hair (and thus having to chop it off).
Suggestions?
I've got a little less than a year to work my way to the perfect color.

(And just so everyone knows, there's no way I'm going to attempt to do this myself. I'm going to go to a professional hairstylist for sure, I can make NO mistakes at this point.)

Hi Everyone!
I don't think I need to mention the fact that I am in desperate need of a hair cut, and maybe colour. I'm 16 and soon to be a High School Senior. I haven't gotten my senior pictures done yet so I can't do anything insane. I also would like to keep the length in my hair. My hair currently looks like this:
My hair is very thick, and naturally wavy with some curl. Brown is my natural hair colour. My colour I had red put in to the middle layer an a red streak in my bangs.
The only way you could tell that it has been dyed would be to see the small tint of red my hair has. Speaking of colour, my hair doesn't hold it well. It only took about a month for the red to come completely out. I don't necessarily want to bleach my hair but if it looked really good I might do it.
My last hair cut was about 3 months or so ago. I'm not entirely sure. As of right now my hair is about 2 inches past my shoulders. My fringe reaches the part in my lips and is way too long. Those I definitely need to have trimmed at the very least. I usually wear my hair straightened with my bangs swept to the side.
Here is a timeline of my hair for those who would like to get to know my hair better n_n:
This is almost 4 years ago when I had let my bangs grow out extremely long.
About a year later...I had my most basic hair cut. No layers and a side-swept bang.
1 Year later...I had the french cut (Is that what they're called?) bangs. Still only one layer. I let those grow out because the hairdresser cut then horribly wrong even tho I had about 60 pictures of what I wanted. Needless to say I don't go to there anymore.
These two pictures are he best I had when I had my hair cut shorter because I was so sick of it being long and no layers. I had 2 layers put in and my gangs cut. For me it was crazy short just because I had it at such a long length for so long. I liked it for the most part. But after a while I wanted my length back.
These two are when my hair had the red, that I talked about earlier, in it. I really liked it it was long enough for versatility but short enough not to take an hour to straighten in the morning. The second picture shows all the layers I have in my hair, layers definitely help reduce the amount of body in my hair. Don't get me wrong, I do love the large amount of body that my hair has, but when you want it to be straight it doesn't help much, lol.
The next multitude of pictures are of how my current hair looks in different styles and angles. Hopefully you can take it all I and give me suggestions on what to do with it next. (they will still be in chronological order *old>new*)
I don't have extensions. All I did was braid the bottom, longer, layers of my hair so that only the top would show, jsut so see what I would look like with short hair.
And this is the most recent. I hope everyone isnt overwhelmed by the size of this post. I just thought that if I included everything then it would be easier to help me? maybe I just made it harder...oh well...n_n

my hair is already pretty red, but it's more of a bright burgundy-ish colour with semi-purple-ish tones going on. if i dye over it with sfx nuclear red, will it make it more vibrant and more of a darker, true red (not lighter, obviously)? tia!
