First of all, I would like to thank all of you guys who congratulated me on finally starting to live on my own. As a person who is very close to her family, it's pretty hard for me and, to be frank, I even thought for a moment about leaving and just hauling my ass back to school or be an Eastwood citizen. Thanks for the encouragement!
A few random thoughts before I go:
1. My feelings about the discovery of oil reserves in Palawan is mixed. On one hand, while we are fucked by the foreign companies stealing our gas, I'm still pleased that we are discovering more of our resources. (I hope the next administration will have harder balls and boot these foreign oil companies out of OUR property. I know I'm not voting for anybody connected to the current president, for one thing.) I'm glad for the jobs that will come to the Filipinos living in the area though. I hope they pay them right though!
On the other hand, I'm truly concerned about the preservation of the natural beauty of Palawan. I hope they enforce strict environmental laws to guard the place. (Who am I kidding? But I live in hope...) I haven't been there yet, but I've seen the pictures. Goddamit, I hope they save the place so when I finally get there, I'd see it still beautiful!
2. Lalola in GMA TV? Oh. My. God. Not really hot about JC de Vera, but Rhian Ramos is really cute.(Also: LOL@Wendell Ramos) Ahhh, I'm so excited for this! Even if the summary of the introduction is so lame.:D
3. I've been reading about all the things happening in the US right now and I hope things get better sooner or later.
Also: Palin? What a joke. I watched the debate and she's definitely crazy to even think she is qualified for the job. With the Troopergate issue now in the light, I hope she gets kicked out of the race.
However, speaking of crazy, you should see some of the nutcases who run as independent Presidential candidates here in the Philippines. We even had one time a hermit from the mountains who claims he was called to serve. Good times.:D At least, they're just funny. Palin is scary.
4. I miss milk tea so badly. *emo tears* Also, LJ.

Following the US election is making me really depressed. Not because of Obama's growing poll numbers but because of McCain's supporters and their bigotry and xenophobia. It makes me terribly sad as someone who really believed in the "American Dream". I know it's not like that everywhere because even living in suburban Georgia, I don't get that shit everyday. But then something like this happens that brings all this ugliness out into the open. It is very, very depressing.
I'm actually glad I'm not in high school right now. I don't even want to know some of the debates going on in my old high school. I bet it is even more polarized than during Bush vs Kerry in '04 and that was already really bad. At least here, I don't hear the bigotry and xenophobia in person because srsly, would've had to slap people.

Fuck federal elections on Tuesday and I still don't know who to vote for. LOL Being a centrist independent can be hard sometimes. It'd be easier if I was in the US. lol But because I'd be Democrat in the US, I'm more centrist in Canada and that could either mean Conservative (right of center) or Liberal (left of center). Throw in NDP who is good for university students and my NDP rep caring more about students and the city, I really don't know what the hell I'm supposed to do. Should I care more about having someone to represent this local area in the federal stage or care about the direction of the federal government? I hate not having an executive branch. :*(
I guess considering with the need for macroeconomics and stuff like that, federal direction should trump local needs. :*( ahhh I have until Tuesday to research on the issues.

Learning about political economy is quite fun. haha I'm starting to really like learning about development. I love love love my Intro to Development class.

OMG GG Scums Ranbats were today. So fun to watch. XD Mihan, the really cute med student, played May today!!! *_______* I learned a lot of things watching him play so next time the Scrums play, I'm going to shake them up. >:D muwahaha

First, my friend made a nice video (Tenipuri-themed) for this song since it hadn't been uploaded on Youtube yet. Please do watch.
Now I know that that song was in the single Future. I remember that it was supposed to be an opening for Prince of Tennis, too. Could someone clarify if I remember right? Also, if anyone knows anything more about Hiro-X it would be very much appreciated. I only know 2 songs besides Anniversary, Future and Driving myself (and those would be Meaning of truth and Without end). The only picture I have is the CD cover for Meaning of truth. There used to be a fansite dedicated to him, but if it's still alive I can't find it! I love all those 5 songs and I'd like to hear more from him. I know that CDJapan seems to sell his CDs, but any other information would probably be new. As you can see, I know nothing so if you do, please help me become a proper fan. D:

My friend's B-day is coming up and I said I'd scan Atobe's cd stuff when I got it. (I still have to take a picture of the gift inside the box *can't find camera*)

This question may not be very appropriate, if it's not allowed please tell me so and I'll delete it asap.
I really want to own Prince of Tennis on dvd, but since Viz stopped the R1 dvd boxsets that kinda screwed my plans of owning it up. T_T I’d just watch it online or download it but I hate watching anime online. =/ And I tried searching LJ seek but didn’t find anything, but LJ seek sucks a bunch and fails me on many levels so if this has already been addressed please let me know or point me in the right direction.
My question is, is there any import/bootleg dvd’s out there that are not completely horrendous? By horrendous I mean; very bad pixilazation ( to the point where you can’t see anything ), and extremely bad subtitles ( a few typo’s are fine, but I mean the kind where they mess the names up ). If anyone could post pictures or link me to a decent set/dvds I would really appreciate it.

A vegetal grinder (broyeur à végétaux) is the evilest device ever added to a laboratory.
It makes so much noise my head is about to explode (and of course, it takes only 3-5 minutes to grind something, so you actually have no good excuse to not stay near it and do some intellectual reading while it torments your hears). I grinded 6 samples out of 20 T____T (But meanwhile learned a lot about silicon in banana.)
