finals are over, i'm home....

I hardly ever make posts to this extent however:
I have been re-evaluating my life lately. Looking at my priorities...asking myself if I am living life how I want to be.
In that process...I've questioned my morals & my beliefs. With that being said, I had this long discussion with my best friend Kristi about homosexuality, The Bible, people's views, etc. And I realized that yes I know what I believe, but I don't understand the reasoning behind other beliefs....I read a friend's LJ entry on here the other day and I quote:
I'm watching the local news on NBC tonight, right? They had this story
about Dalraida Church of Christ having a marquee sign up that reads:
"God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve." These left-wing liberals
got all steamed up and this one black chic gets on and she's like, "Oh,
it's wrong, because it's DISCRIMINATORY." Ok, yeah and??? When's the
last time the Bible WASN'T discriminatory??! God is very clear about
the fact that there IS NO GRAY AREA. THEN, oh THIS is RICH! They put up
IN TYPE on the screen that "The Bible also ACCEPTS SLAVERY, LIMITS THE
ROLES OF WOMEN, AND PROHIBITS INTEREST ON TAXES!" What the?? Who the
heck gave the MEDIA the right to preach on MY faith?? They're a bunch
of MORONS from Alabama anyway! AAAAAAAAAGH!!!
so this could get really deep, and it could offend someone and I do not mean to do that at all. But I have to write an editorial controversy paper, and I thought this would be a great topic, but I would like to be educated in all aspects of it, so I have been trying to research some.
but here's my thinking:
