I’M BACK, AT LEAST! :D

My so long and truly wonderful holidays have just finished; I arrived to Madrid (my hometown) at 22.00 p.m., so today at work I wanted to die. But it was worthy, I’ve had two marvellous and funny weeks, the first one in Rome, and the second one in Almeria, Spain.

About Rome, may I say I love Rafa? He has been one of my best friends for years now, but when I spend time with him I truly realize how much I really miss him when he is outside so long. My sister Laura and me stayed at his place; by day we did wild tourism, and in the evening we went with Rafa, his girlfriend Stefi and sometimes his friends to have dinner and go out till late. We slept around five hours every day… Of course we slipped in every bus we took, went *walking* all the way up to San Pedro’s dome, suffered a hot-hell day visiting the Foro and the Palatino,
and a security guard threw us out from San Giovanni in Laterano, because we weren’t dressed modestly enough. Can you believe it? We wore long jeans and sleeveless shirts!!!! You can’t go sleeveless into the main churches, but you can wear shorts and a bikini if you pay the 12€ entry to the Vatican Museums... ejem...

In the weekend, we did a little excursion Isquia and Napoles. Isquia is very close to Capri, a bit longer and a bit cheaper (although not for much) Our hostelling had even a swimming pool (!!!) and the landscape and the sea was enchanting. Ahh... if I were rich...
On Sunday we visited Napoles, which is an... interesting city. Dirty in a way I’ve never seen (tons of rubbish left in the middle of the streets), but attractive nonetheless. We had lunch in a famous place, and look my pizza “margarita” with buffalo’s milk mozzarella! And look how it ended... XD

On the other side, Almeria has been relaxing. I went with J to his family’s flat there. It’s placed just in the middle of the town centre, so we have all the little restaurants and “tapeo” places just walking outside the house. Fish and seafood is very good there, so I’ve eaten a bit too much of those, cheap and so tasty... We spend the days in Aguadulce and the Cabo de Gata beaches, and I’ve napped quite a lot. Pity that is finished for me. Now I have to work, and continue my PFC...*sigh*.

But that also mean that I'm HERE!!!! F-list, I'll be checking you again at night!!! I don't believe I'll able to read what you wrote these past fifteen days, but at least, I'll be updated from now on ;)

And talking about LJ and fandoms...

About HBP, well, I want to have faith in Snape. I really want. I really need it, but... I think he is rotten. Really.
That theory about Albus ordering Snape to kill him is beautiful, but I cannot really believe it. I mean, I can't believe Rowling would write that. This is killing, people. Killing. Bad, bad, bad. Even if Albus was dying, Severus still *killed* him. Even if Albus' death saved Draco, or was useful that way, that doesn't free him of the fact he *killed on purpose*. What kind of message is to kill, even when is a necessary???? (as good!Snape theorists claim to be the case) I'm not against that idea per se, mind you, but I doubt Rowling will accept publicly in her books this ethical question: to kill one to save hundreds.
After all, Snape could have chosen differently: chosen to die, chose not to make that vow... And I agree that wouldn't be very Snapeish, but what we have? Snape in character has killed. He was a Death Eater, all we knew he had done very bad things, but now we have seen him kill, clear like water. I never thought he was good, as a fluffy gryffindor, but I thought he was on the right side. Now... I'm not sure.
Besides, in the Mugglenet and The Leaky Cauldron interview to JK Rowling, you can read:
"MA: Oh, here’s one [from our forums] that I’ve really got to ask you. Has Snape ever been loved by anyone?
JKR: Yes, he has, which in some ways makes him more culpable even than Voldemort, who never has. Okay, one more each!"

That smells bad for Snape, if you ask me...

ETA: Look the incredible Sirius/Severus that [info]naggingfishwife did for me. Love you!!! :D

Welcome back Noe! I'm glad you had a great holiday ^__^

I went to Rome once. It was fabulous. The only place I've been to in Spain is Barcelona, also fabulous. I love the architecture by Gaudi!

yeah, Rome is simply great! I've enjoyed like crazy, one of my very best travels for now. And Barcelona is very beautiful, very special, very cared for. Gaudi was a genius, unique, but there is *very good* recent architectures now here, too. I'm a architecture student, I can tell you that. :)

No morir.

Me parece coherente.

[info]_noesumeragi_

August 8 2005, 13:56:03 UTC 6 years ago

Podía haber dicho *no*.

buaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh.... Ç___Ç convénceme de lo contrario, por fa...

Welcome home love! I have missed you so so much!

And I think that you know I am all for evil Snape, so there is nothing I can do to make you feel better. Other than remind you that evil is sexy.*hugs*

yeah, lately I find myself going into your side... and you are right, good or evil, Snape is always sexy... never doubt that! XD

It's good to have internet again... :)

Your holidays sound great! I'm a little bit jealous..okay over it.
I'm happy having you back *big hug*

Well, what can I say to an evil!Snape theory? I'm not convinced. Perhaps I'm still in denial. But the interview piece is really intersting, I didn't know that.
My personal hunch is that Snape is working alone at the moment. That he looks after himself and no one else with the aim to stay alive after the end of HBP. And that the moment will come that Snape recognise that he NEEDS the Order's and / or Harry's help to survive (and he can flee after Voldies death much better when all the people are partying like the last time). But at the moment it's all to fresh and my theories change pretty fast.

[info]_noesumeragi_

August 8 2005, 14:07:16 UTC 6 years ago

If I'm honest, I'm happy to be home at least. To be outside so long is tiring... the only bad thing is to have to work again. Oh, well... XD

About snape... well, I was so in denial that I wanted to believe "Albus orders Snape to kill him" very badly. The problem is, the flaw in that theory is the Unbreakable vow. I mean, Snape *really* swear to kill Albus in the *next* year, because is the time Draco has to do it and fail. And at the moment, Albus was right, and it was NOT foreseeable that would change. In fact, doesn't change! He has his rotten hand in the same way all the year, and only because of the potion Albus is deathly sick again! So, when Snape made that vow... hell, there was not excuse!!!! *___*

[info]himilzungal

August 8 2005, 14:44:47 UTC 6 years ago

I'm happy to be home at least

I can imagine. I'm always happy to have my own bed back, after a holiday. And working is always bad ;D

You're right that Snape got his hands dirty the moment he took the vow. The visit of Narcissa and Bella could have been a trap (what kind of DE would Snape be if he had refused?)

Hello again! I'm glad you had such a good time. *hugs* Sounds amazing.. I'll probably never get to travel out-of-country. :P

As for Snape, well.. poor guy. I still have to believe he's good, somehow. My little mind can't accept much else. I mean, if it turns out he's bad after all.. that would be SO cliché. Here's this guy, he's not attractive in looks or personality, he can be a real bastard at times, but.. oh, he's EVIL. That would just be sad. Not everyone who's on the "right side" is necessarily a "good person".

I'm not yelling at you, just at JKR. XD

I'll probably never get to travel out-of-country. :P

oh, don't say that! (lottery or a rich husband are always possible) and USA is so big that you can travel and discover quite a lot of marvels in your own country, which is great... :)

About Snape... well, it's funny, but your reason is, mainly, my best defence against my own fears of snape evilness. I mean, it's true, would be ssssssssssssssssoooooooooooooooooo cliché!!!!!!!!! so... tedious. So disappointing. Only, I can't see the miracle Rowling has to do to save him. :/

1stly - welcome back! I'm glad you had such a fantastic holidays!

you can wear shorts and a bikini if you pay the 12€ entry to the Vatican Museums... LOL! even sculptures in this Museum are 'partly' covered with acant leafs, so I would feel really bad going there in bikini :D. In Italy I've only been to Florence, but as it was February we didn't had to worry about our clothes XD

and that Snape thing ....maybe it's like - it's bad, but someone has to do it? dying will be the easier way. maybe he knew he lost his life and was ready to do do anything to make Voldie die? I've got more and more theories, but I can't believe that he's evil...

[info]_noesumeragi_

August 9 2005, 14:59:21 UTC 6 years ago

Maybe it's enough to wear those... leafs in the body places that... really matter? XD

yes, it's really hard to believe that Snape it's evil... I mean, I wouldn't mind that much if he is evil but independant, as you say. I'd hate if he is only a Voldy's bunchmen. :/

I am so jealous that you got to go to Italy, expensive or not. That's weird that they won't let you in the churches with sleeveless shirts and yet they'll let you into the Vatican museums wearing anything.

Sorry, I am burning with envy at your holiday.

it has been a great, great holiday, I can't deny it. :D And being in my friend's house has saved me a great deal of money... it was perfect! :D

And yes, they are very strict about how you are dressed in Rome's main churches, San Pedro amongst them. To show shoulders and knees is forbidden.

I was reading Vaughn's LJ and had to laugh when I saw the photos of food. I thought my dearest sister was the only person who gave me before and after meal shots in Italy! It looked quite fabulous.

and *tasted* quite fabulous, too! :D

Italy's food is worth an big album, and that pizza was so lovely, it smelled so good, and my camera was so near me, that... it was inevitable.
